"Where did this madman co from," Solomon huffed coldly, "to dare defy the majesty of Mother Goddess Gaia and spread the heretical nonsense of your false god right in front of ."
"Saturday is not a false god," Redio said, "it is more powerful than any known or unknown deity in this world."
"You have a lot of nerve, young Sabbath of the Double Rest Sect, but do you know what price you’ll pay for those words?" Solomon’s face darkened.
A hint of murderous intent erged in the eyes of the Wing Clan Commander, enough to send shivers down Kieren’s spine who was standing by.
As one of Solomon’s confidants, Kieren had seen quite a few of Solomon’s thods lately. Those within the city still loyal to the Vespasian Family and fantasizing about resistance were now almost all hanging outside the city gates.
Yet Redio seed not to be too afraid; he lifted his head and locked eyes with Solomon, his expression as grim as ever.
After a mont, Solomon spoke again, "Chop off his head."
At his command, two Wing Clan Warriors imdiately ca over, each grabbing one of the young Sabbath’s arms and dragged him towards the door.
Kieren’s forehead was dripping with cold sweat. He wanted to plead for Redio, but couldn’t find the right words, and he wasn’t even sure if Solomon, in his anger, would end up killing him as well.
If Kieren had known Redio was so brave, he would have never recomnded him to Solomon.
Shortly after Redio was dragged out, a mber of the Wing Tribe hurried in, clutching a note in his hand.
He handed the note to another Wing Tribe mber responsible for translation who, after a glance, showed a look of surprise.
After whispering sothing to Solomon, a flash of astonishnt crossed Solomon’s eyes as well. After a mont of silence, the Wing Clan Commander said sothing to the ssenger.
The ssenger imdiately turned and left the room just as hurriedly as he had arrived.
The room then fell into a deadly silence, with Kieren daring not even to swallow his saliva.
A while later, the previously-dragged-out Redio miraculously returned.
And his head was still firmly attached to his neck.
"You’ve made a wise decision," the Sabbath of the Double Rest Sect said.
"Don’t be too pleased; I’m just giving you a little more ti to live, to answer a few more questions," the murderous intent in Solomon’s eyes unabated.
Redio shrugged, "Then ask away."
"How did Prophet rlin capture Lannita and snatch away the White Queen from her?"
Solomon’s words made the Minstrel gasp, Redio wasn’t bluffing earlier, the Double Rest Sect and the Arias Family had indeed defeated the daughter of Sibulun.
And from what Solomon implied, Lannita had lost the dragon as well, but a dragon isn’t gold or jewels, being so enormous, how could soone just steal it away?
Redio answered quickly, "I don’t know."
"Why would the White Queen obey rlin’s commands?"
"Because it has converted to Saturday."
"How did rlin manage that in just one night?"
"I don’t know."
"How much ransom must I pay for rlin to return Lannita and the White Queen?"
"I don’t know."
Solomon looked intently at the young Sabbath, "If you know nothing, then why should I spare your life?"
"Because I bring you a ssage, an important ssage from Prophet rlin."
"What ssage?"
"Prophet rlin instructed to tell you that you shall go no further."
As Redio uttered the last word, the room fell silent once again.
Solomon turned to look at the interpreter, "What did he just say?"
The interpreter hesitated, but Solomon commanded, "I want you to tell exactly as he said!"
The interpreter dared not slack and could only translate the young Sabbath’s just-spoken words verbatim to the Wing Clan Commander before him.
Solomon, after hearing the translation, did not rage but rely chuckled scornfully, "The Prophet of the Double Rest Sect, rlin, does he believe he is soone significant? Even the strongest empire on this continent has been defeated by our armies; what power does he have to stop us from continuing our conquest of this land."
"Behind Prophet rlin stands Saturday," Redio said, "If you continue on this path stubbornly, I’m afraid you will witness the power of the True God, and by then, it will be too late for regrets."
"In truth, Prophet rlin does not wish to see rivers of blood on this continent, which is why he sent to warn you," Redio stated.
"If your so-called God is truly that powerful, why didn’t he strike us down when we first set foot on this continent?" Solomon asked indifferently.
"As I have said, the wrath of the True God is terrifying. Once ignited, the ashes will not only be yours," Redio spoke gravely.
"Baseless drivel."
Solomon scorned, "There is but one True God in this world, and that is Gaia; she will protect her children."
"I know not how you managed to communicate with your Church over such a distance, but if indeed you can, you had better inform your prophet right now.
"Tell him and that Lady nad Ireya to run for their lives. Because I will be coming for them soon, with my armies."
......
While Solomon was eting with Redio.
Far away in Green Field, Miss Rabbit was also making preparations for the upcoming assembly.
Because this gathering would determine how many allies she could rally to her side.
Though the Arias family could now be described as strong in arms, they were still far from matching the opponent they were soon to face.
Even discounting the Wing Tribe army that Li Yu had promised to deal with, just the forces of the nobles who had now sided with the Wing Tribe far surpassed those of the Arias family.
And just three days ago, Miss Rabbit had received an urgent military dispatch.
Following the Pangluosi family of Elk Valley siding with the Wing Tribe, the nobles of Golden Valley, faced with a pincer movent from the dwarves and the Pangluosi family, could no longer hold out and started to suffer widespread defeat.
The City Lord of Wild, seeing the situation irretrievable, also planned to bring the remainder of his warriors to join the Double Rest Sect.
He had already sent his granddaughter Donia to serve as Li Yu’s guard, foreseeing the need for an escape route, previously.
Yet, if the Campbell family of Golden Valley could not stand firm, then the road to the Western Territory would also be completely open.
At that point, not just the Wing Tribe army and their dragons, but also their allies, would be able to launch an invasion on the Western Territory.
So, the ti left for the Arias family and the other lords of this land was running short.
