Thomas regretted his action the mont he made it.

But the woman had already been thrown out by him, and when the female assassin hit the wall, she let out a muffled groan as her wound on her back split open again, and then she passed out once more.

Miss Rabbit, worried she might pull the sa trick again, didn’t approach, but instead took two steps back, adding, "See, I told you, we should tie her up."

Thomas stepped forward to check on her, and seeing that there was still breath coming from her nose, he was sowhat relieved.

"I’ll have soone fetch so rope right away."

"I’ll go. I’ll also call for a Sabbath to tend to her wounds," the Lady said, shaking her head as she realized that an interrogation wouldn’t start anyti soon, and she left the room once again.

As she descended the stairs, she ran into Ge Lipeng, who was squatting at the entrance of the inn, staring out at the street lost in thought.

Ireya had always been curious about this servant newly summoned by Li Yu, but unfortunately, the language barrier made communication difficult.

Moreover, Ge Lipeng spent most of his days alone, imrsed in his tools, hamring and crafting all the way.

The Lady had visited Ge Lipeng’s workspace several tis, seeing the forge and bellows used by blacksmiths, as well as so tools used by carpenters, and Li Yu had even brought so strange gadgets from the Divine Country that the maiden didn’t quite understand the use of.

These items took three ox-carts to transport, and every ti Li Yu ca, he would have people purchase so raw materials, which in the end were all delivered to Ge Lipeng.

But after all this ti had passed, Ireya hadn’t seen Ge Lipeng produce anything substantial.

And this morning, he hadn’t even bothered to hamr anything, making her wonder if he was considering giving up.

"Good morning," the maiden greeted Ge Lipeng.

Ge Lipeng turned his head upon hearing her and responded, "Good morning."

This was one of the few phrases in Bulati Universal Language he had learned during this ti, apart from which he could say eat, sleep, set off, relieve oneself, stop, good... A collection of single vocabulary words to satisfy the most basic needs of life.

The only complete sentence he knew was, "I am a Foreigner, I don’t understand what you’re saying."

He was very much like a foreign tourist who ca to China in the nineties.

Ireya, seeing that Ge Lipeng had been struggling for over a month without crafting anything decent, thought of her own upcoming participation in the tournant, and couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie between two struggling beings.

So she comforted Ge Lipeng, "Don’t lose heart, there will be a way."

Ge Lipeng smiled at her and pointed to his ear, repeating that classic line, "I am a Foreigner, I don’t understand what you’re saying."

"I know, uh... I was just, never mind, don’t worry about it," Miss Rabbit waved her hand, "I’ll send soone to buy us so tasty food, that should cheer us up afterwards."

As she said this, she also made an eating gesture.

Ge Lipeng looked puzzled, as it wasn’t alti yet.

The Lady was about to explain further, but then she spotted a familiar face outside the door.

"We et again, Sir Ireya. If only you had taken my advice back then, you wouldn’t have ended up in this predicant," Geoff said with schadenfreude.

"Had I listened to your ’advice,’ I would’ve been left with nothing—neither money nor property," Miss Rabbit rolled her eyes. "If you’re here to cause trouble, you’re a bit late to the party."

"I’ve heard about what happened yesterday and the day before. Those young masters of the Royal Knight Order always act impulsively, but I’m different—I’m far more mature and magnanimous than they are."

Geoff squeezed a smile onto his face, "After more than two months, I’ve decided not to pursue the offense you made against before, and I’ve also decided to repay evil with kindness and help you one more ti."

"Save your energy, I’ve figured out what you’re all about—you’re nothing but a liar who talks big but delivers nothing," she retorted.

"I admit I’ve done so less than honorable things in the past, which has damaged my reputation, but who hasn’t made mistakes in their youth?" Geoff said.

"Honestly, I’m quite impressed by your thick skin. Are you desperate for money lately? Because I made my stance clear the first ti we t—you’re not getting even a single slice of giant dragon blood from us," the Lady said firmly.

"Give a hundred, no, fifty slices of giant dragon blood, and I’ll help you out of your current troubles," Geoff cut to the chase.

"It’s real this ti, you can pay half the deposit upfront, and the other half once the job is done."

As he spoke, he walked in from outside the inn, frowning as he passed by Ge Lipeng, but his focus quickly returned to Ireya.

"I prefer you when you’re more brazen—asking for three hundred slices of giant dragon blood right when we first t," Miss Rabbit scoffed with a cold laugh. "Let guess, you’re going to plead with your sister again this ti?"

"No, this ti we can take advantage of the Second Prince’s influence. Among His Majesty’s four sons, his favorite is Prince Claudio because he resembles his mother, the forr Empress Rosalia, quite closely.

"So, usually, as long as Claudio’s requests aren’t too outrageous, His Majesty will try his best to accommodate them."

"I don’t believe you at all," the Lady shook her head. "Not a single word."

As if Geoff had predicted her response, he then took a ring out of his pocket.

Miss Rabbit’s gaze was drawn to the thumb-sized yellow gemstone on the ring, but she didn’t dwell on it for too long.

Because the gem, both in size and quality, was inferior to the one Li Yu had given her.

Geoff handed the ring to Ireya and pointed out, "You might want to look on the inside of the ring."

As the Lady did so, she indeed found a na inside—Claudio Vespasian.

"I really underestimated you, you have quite the audacity, even daring to forge the Imperial Family’s signature," Miss Rabbit said with a clicking of her tongue.

"No, this ring truly belongs to the Second Prince," Geoff said earnestly. "Though I may boast occasionally, I’d never joke about my own life. Forging a token from the Imperial Family is a decapitating offense, especially here in the Royal Capital.

"This ring is no ordinary object; it has always been carried by the Second Prince, which proves the depth of my relationship with him. All I need to do is ask Prince Claudio for help, and he can ensure you don’t have to participate in the upcoming combat tournant."

Although she knew the man before her was not trustworthy, Ireya was still sowhat tempted by his words.

Seeing her reaction, Geoff seized the opportunity and pressed the point, "If you think twenty-five slices is too much, let’s make it ten. We can draw up a contract: I’ll introduce you to the Second Prince, and if it doesn’t work out, you can get those ten slices of giant dragon blood back from ."
