"Yes, I had soone look into it a little, and the town’s priest indeed sent those cursed to a manor outside the city, forbidding them from leaving," Jude said.
"But it seems they are incapable of completely dispelling the curse, for Harvest Corner still has people falling under its spell from ti to ti, and even the nearby towns have begun to be affected."
"Such a powerful curse?" Ireya exclaid in surprise.
"If this is true, then we should leave here imdiately," Ferdinand said with a serious expression.
"I’ll have soone buy food and supplies in a while, and once everything arrives, we can start our journey. We could rest in the next town, or perhaps even travel further."
"All right," Ireya said. "It looks like our vacation will have to be put on hold for now. We’ll make up for it once we’re in a safe place."
The lady had already made up her mind, however, trouble arose during the stage of recalling their people.
Two guards from the Batoris family were nowhere to be seen until they quietly slipped back into the tavern after sunset.
As soon as they entered, they saw their lord and Sir Ireya of the Arias family sitting behind the wooden table in the middle of the hall.
The two guards’ expressions changed slightly as they imdiately dropped the playful smiles from their faces.
However, Ferdinand did not scold them, rely asking where they had been.
At first, the two said they had only gone to drink, but upon repeated questioning by Ferdinand, they finally admitted they had sought out so fun elsewhere after finishing their drinks.
"Aren’t all the taverns in this city devoid of girls?" Jude asked.
"True, but later at the cockfighting arena we t soone who said he could find us girls, and at a very cheap price, only half of what others charge, and we two could... together..."
"I’m not interested in the details," Ireya paused. "Do you rember what the girl looked like?"
The two guards looked at each other upon hearing this, and after a mont one of them cautiously spoke up, "But didn’t you say you weren’t interested in the details?"
"Answer the question," Ferdinand said.
"Uh, she was beautiful... with a pair of captivating breasts."
"And she was passionate as fire," added the other guard. "Extrely wild, acting as if she wasn’t planning on seeing tomorrow’s sun."
"Besides the normal physical attributes, was there anything unusual about her?"
"I rember now, her skin was a bit red. I asked her what happened, and she said it was from where the last client pinched her."
"That guy must have been very rough to lay such heavy hands on such a beauty."
As the guard finished speaking, Ferdinand’s expression suddenly darkened.
Then, the head of the Batoris family spoke, "Take them away, clear out a spare room to hold them for now."
The two guards were still in a daze when their swords were taken from them, and they were then led away.
"The situation might not be that bad," Ireya offered soothingly. "We don’t know how exactly the curse is transmitted; they might be alright."
Ferdinand’s brows were tightly furrowed, and he remained silent.
Miss Rabbit then thought of sothing, her eyes lighting up, "Calculating the ti, rlin should arrive tomorrow, and we can seek his help then."
"But we have already left the West Territory; this is the domain of the Earth and Grain God, Julius," Ferdinand said.
"No need to worry, the Divine Power of Saturday is omnipresent," the Lady said. "rlin will have a way."
Facing an unknown curse, the head of the Batoris Family was also sowhat at a loss, hesitating before he said.
"I will first have them pray to Pisya. If Pisya doesn’t respond to us, I will then seek help from Prophet rlin."
Ireya didn’t insist upon hearing this.
After all the commotion, it was already evening, and it was too late to leave the city, so the Lady had the innkeeper prepare food. After a quick al, everyone hurried back to their rooms to rest and rejuvenate.
The Lady had intended to wait for Li Yu and had spent so ti feeding the Ancient Spirit in the Electronic Pet Egg.
But now, the little gas inside no longer held as much attraction for her.
After playing awhile, the young woman felt a wave of sleepiness, yawned several tis, and eventually leaned against the bed and fell asleep.
When she opened her eyes again, she saw that familiar figure, dressed in black, sitting at the wooden table, flipping through a Knight novel.
"rlin," Miss Rabbit said, rubbing her eyes.
"Victoria," Li Yu responded with the young girl’s Christian na, without looking up.
"We may have run into trouble, rlin."
"Hmm, get dressed first, then tell what happened."
Upon hearing this, Ireya quickly put on her stockings and robe, then continued. "It’s serious. We’ve settled in this town called Fertile Corner, only to find out there is a curse here."
"What kind of curse?" Li Yu asked as he closed the "Grand Expedition Chronicles" he held in his hands.
"It is said to be a terrifying curse that can devour a person’s flesh and gnaw on their bones." The Lady described in vivid detail what she had heard the previous night to Li Yu.
"It’s very likely that two of Ferdinand’s guards are already afflicted by this curse."
Li Yu rembered the contents from the "General Practitioner’s Handbook," and after so ti, he said, "It sounds a bit like a curse known as syphilis."
"Do you have a solution?"
"If it is indeed syphilis, as long as it hasn’t been too long since being afflicted, it can be cured," said Li Yu.
Before setting off for the Royal Capital, considering the various situations that might arise, Li Yu had the Sabbath from the Double Rest Sect carry the "General Practitioner’s Handbook" along with a portion of dicines.

Miss Rabbit was overjoyed upon hearing this, "I knew it, such a minor curse is no match for you!"
Li Yu didn’t think so; syphilis was no minor curse. Its power was widely acknowledged. The virus was speculated to have originated in Arica and spread to European countries with the great voyages, where it then began to wreak havoc.
People like Nietzsche, Beethoven, and Wang Erde had once been infected with syphilis. Even in the twenty-first century, Li Yu rembered seeing advertisents for treating gonorrhea, syphilis, and genital warts on the utility poles in front of his house when he was a child.
Li Yu didn’t know who had brought syphilis to Bratis Road, but from Ireya’s description, the virus had already started spreading from Fertile Corner to other places.
It seed that the production and extraction of Penicillin would also need to be prioritized.
Yet, Li Yu also acutely recognized that this might be a rare opportunity for the Double Rest Sect.
"You said those patients were confined to a farm outside the city?"
