Ruby had introduced a little ga she learned from Clara which imdiately piqued the curiosity of quite a few people.

"Truth or Dare, huh? Sounds like it could be fun," the boy with golden hair remarked, his eyes lighting up as he thought of sothing.

The other two at the card table were still hesitant, but the others had started to jeer, goading them to agree.

Alfred ran a tight ship, and these guards had no ill intentions; they rely wanted to tease the beautiful and cute young girl in front of them.

Thus, with no more hesitation, the other two at the table chuckled at Ruby and said, "Don’t you regret it later, little Charlene."

Ruby shrugged, "We’ll see who ends up regretting."

In the first round Ruby didn’t fight to be the landlord but tead up with another peasant to defeat the landlord, so the poor landlord was forced to choose between truth and dare.

He chose dare. Ruby rely asked him to roll around the room a few tis, but another person was harsher, making him imitate a pig’s squeal, which had the other guards rolling in laughter.

In the second round, Ruby didn’t aim for the landlord role again and ended up losing; she chose truth, but the interrogator seed as if soone had suddenly grabbed his throat, his face turning beet red, yet he couldn’t utter a word.

"Hurry up and ask," the people around urged, "This is a once in a lifeti opportunity."

Sweat appeared on the man’s forehead, and it took a great effort for him to speak, only to croak dryly, "Well... I want to ask you... what you think about... my new boots, I just bought them last weekend in Black Stone City."

"Very pretty," Ruby blinked, "I swear by my sovereign star on Saturday that my words are true."

Laughter erupted again from the crowd, clearly dissatisfied with the cowardice of the man.

After speaking, the man deeply regretted his question, wishing he could slap himself. He made a secret resolution in his heart, "Next round, I must win one and use the opportunity to ask how Charlene feels about ."

But he was quickly plucked up by so people, "Alright, my turn now, my turn. Tucker, you’ve already played three rounds, it’s ti for a break."

"No, I’m not tired yet, I can still keep playing!" Tucker wailed, but he was already being carried away by two colleagues.

The young man with blond hair took his place, "I’m Crowley, they all call Blond Crowley."

Crowley sat down and introduced himself to Ruby.

But the young girl interrupted him, "Wait until you beat , then you can command to listen to your introduction."

"That suits fine," Crowley smirked.

However, the luck of the blond young man wasn’t very good; he didn’t win a single round in three tries, and by the end, his face was as dark as could be.

The joyful atmosphere filled the tower once again.

......

Half an hour later, Ruby returned to the castle, satisfied with the information she had gathered.

She had already vaguely guessed what thod Hirodod would use to carry out the assassination, but there was a key point she needed to verify further. Now, however, a problem arose; no matter what excuse she used, she wouldn’t be able to obtain that object.

Ruby was thinking when a voice ca from behind her, "I’ve been watching you for a long ti, what are you really looking for?"

Ruby was startled by the words, but she kept her composure on the surface.

She turned around and saw a figure at the other end of the hallway.

The person was about the sa height as her, draped in a dark green cloak, standing in a place not touched by sunlight, emanating an uncomfortable chill.

Ruby took a step towards him, and the person imdiately took a cautious step back, while a little grayish-brown head peeked out from his cloak, staring at Ruby together.

"I recognize you, you are Greta from Double Rest Sect, the one who can control rats."

"I am not from the Double Rest Sect; I am only working for rlin to pay off debts." Greta frowned and handed a small piece of bread to the rat on her shoulder.

"I am not a bad person," Ruby said, "this is not a place to talk... let’s go upstairs, I’ll explain it to you."

However, Greta remained unmoved, "I don’t trust... humans, you are always full of sches."

"I don’t ask for your belief, just that you give a chance to explain." Ruby spoke earnestly, "The banquet is about to start, and we don’t have much ti."

"We?"

Ruby did not want to discuss such matters here, but Greta gave her no choice. Fortunately, most people were now in the banquet hall on the second floor, so the corridor was quite deserted at this mont.

So Ruby decided to be brief, "Prophet has sent you here to protect Miss Ireya as well, I presu. I have just discovered that the Blood Moon Association is likely to make a move on Miss Ireya."

Ruby thought this news would astound the girl opposite her, but she remained expressionless, "Are you talking about that short and fat man from the Welch Family?"

"How did you know?" Ruby was surprised that Greta had already discovered what had taken her a great effort to find out.

"Humans are always so arrogant, unconsciously looking down on other beings of this land." Greta broke off another small piece of bread, this ti putting it into her own mouth.

Hearing this, Ruby was not as shocked as before and chuckled.

"Your rat friends are indeed impressive, but you probably don’t know yet how the Blood Moon Association is planning to assassinate Miss Ireya through the Welch Family."

This ti Greta fell silent, then lifted her head and said, "How do you know?"

"It’s simple, if you had the evidence of him preparing the assassination, you would have reported to Miss Ireya by now."

Greta couldn’t refute, "My rats will find it."

"But the banquet is about to start."

Greta was reluctant, but ultimately had to say, "Do you have evidence?"

"Hmm, or more accurately, I at least know where the evidence is, but I can’t verify it alone."

"I’ll verify it." Greta said flatly.

"So you plan to join forces with ?" Ruby blinked, "See, humans are not as worthless as you say. Prophet rlin has said, it is through common beliefs that people unite and form organizations, accomplishing what individuals alone cannot."

"Whatever." Greta was sowhat impatient, "Where exactly is your evidence?"

Ruby didn’t tease her further, "The gift that the Welch Family presented to Miss Ireya."

"That Dragon Slayer Hero Statue?" Greta frowned again.
