"It’s you!" Clara opened the door, and upon seeing the visitor, she couldn’t help but reveal a look of surprise, exclaiming.

"Aren’t you that priestess who competed in dical skills with rlin but couldn’t win without cheating, only to be caught red-handed? Are you here for revenge? But rlin isn’t here today."

Adelle’s face turned red in an instant as she quickly defended herself, "No, no, that’s not it. I’m not here for revenge, I just want to help."

"Help? Help with what?"

"I heard that an evil dragon resides in the Gai Gu Swamp, and there might be a big battle here. I... I know a little bit of dicine. Although I’m not nearly as good as Prophet rlin, I still thought maybe there’s so way I could be of assistance."

Adelle’s voice grew quieter as she spoke.

"But aren’t you with the Silver Moon Church? Won’t they mind you running over to our side?"

"I’ve been excommunicated from the Silver Moon Church. Didn’t you know?"

"Oh, this place is mostly inhabited by lizard people, so news doesn’t travel fast. Plus, rlin has locked up here studying every day; I’ve missed out on a lot of the gossip."

Clara stepped aside, gesturing for Adelle to co inside, then pointed to a massage chair and said, "Have a seat."

The forr priestess’s expression changed upon seeing the strange chair—it was the first thing that ca to her mind as a torture device!

Because on the Bratis Continent, only torture devices would have similar restraints.

Her body quivered imdiately, thinking the little maid did not believe her previous words and wanted to interrogate her personally. She almost ran for the door.

But then she rembered that she was on the territory of the Double Rest Sect, surrounded by lizard people. Even if she ran, she wouldn’t get far, so Adelle finally mustered the courage to sit down.

To her surprise... it was unexpectedly comfortable, especially the soft, enveloping sensation that Adelle had never felt in any other chair before.

So much so that she hardly wanted to get off after sitting down. But then Clara’s next words nearly scared her soul away.

"You’re not an undercover agent sent by the Silver Moon Church to gather information, are you?"

"Eh?"

The forr priestess’s ears perked up at once; even the little fuzz on her ears stood on end.

"rlin calls this a ’bitter ploy,’ hmm, like you and the Silver Moon Church are putting on a play, pretending to be desperate with nowhere to turn, only to seek refuge with our Double Rest Sect when, in fact, you are still with the Silver Moon Church."

"No, that’s not it," Adelle was on the verge of tears, but didn’t know how to prove her innocence. The next mont, she saw Clara tapping a few tis on the small square next to her,

and the chair suddenly began vibrating and sothing started thumping against her back.

Adelle let out a loud, piercing scream, like a startled little hamster.

In her mind, she thought it was all over, that the people of the Double Rest Sect were indeed going to torture her! The forr priestess even thought about the predecessors who had been sacrificed at the hands of the lizard people from the Silver Moon Church.

Anticipating the cruel fate awaiting her, her eyes imdiately filled with tears.

Seeing the girl trembling all over, curled up in the massage chair like a lamb awaiting slaughter, Clara had to press the pause button and soothed her, saying.

"Why are you so faint-hearted? I just saw that you were too tense and wanted to give you a massage to relax. It’s fine, it’s fine. Even if you are a mole from the Silver Moon Church, it doesn’t matter. With rlin around, you won’t be able to do any harm, just like last ti."

"But, but I’m not an informant for the Silver Moon Church." Adelle sniffled, murmuring through her sobs, "I really am here to help this ti."

The little maid also thought a hamster with such a tiny heart, taken down by a massage chair, likely couldn’t do the job of a mole.

So, he said, "Alright, alright, I believe you. Let start by telling you about the teachings of the Double Rest Sect."

"Can I not listen, please? I am still a follower of the Silver Moon Goddess," Adelle said weakly.

"Eh, didn’t you say you weren’t a spy?"

"I indeed am not a spy."

"Then why would soone who believes in Pisya run off to Saturday’s turf?"

"I want to help, but preferably not in a way that requires to betray my faith."

Clara scratched her head.

The forr Priest added, "Rest assured, no matter what I see or hear here, I won’t tell anyone else."

"Forget it, suit yourself. If you want to help, then help. Hera over there could use soone who can read. Are you up for it? It might be a bit hard."

"It’s fine, I am willing to do anything as long as it helps," Adelle said eagerly. "Please be sure to assign the heaviest tasks."

"Heavy is not quite the word, but it’s indeed very important, perhaps the most important task recently, so you must do it properly, don’t ss it up."

"Don’t worry, I definitely won’t," the forr Priest said with the respect of a rookie on their first day of work.

"Well then, wait by the edge of the forest at dusk. Hera will tell you what to do when the ti cos."

......

The forr Priest had previously t the little girl nad Hera when competing in dicine with Li Yu. It was said she was the first follower of the Double Rest Sect. Although still very young, just twelve this year, she was precocious, lacking the naivety and innocence of her peers.

In dealing with others, she was almost like an adult.

Upon seeing Adelle, she was clearly surprised. After the forr Priest explained her purpose, Hera’s expression beca even stranger as she muttered, "Mary really went too far this ti."

She then looked up at the forr Priest, "Do you really want to help?"

"Mhm," Adelle nodded vigorously like a pecking chick.

"Can you read then?"

"No problem at all."

Hera passed over a Morning Glory notebook. The forr Priest took this sowhat odd-looking book and, with Hera’s permission, flipped it open to find pages of nas.

However, what caught Adelle’s attention wasn’t the nas but the paper the book was made of. It was both light and durable, not as limp as papyrus.

And the touch of its incredibly smooth surface was just like an artwork.

"After the music ends, read out the nas on there, cross off each one as you go, male nas for n, female nas for won. Got it?"

"Mhm." The forr Priest was sowhat puzzled but nodded regardless.

"Good, co with ." Hera picked up a bag of silicone bracelets from the ground and walked into the forest.

Adelle followed, bewildered, and the two of them eventually stopped in front of a huge cedar that was thousands of years old, where many lizard people were already gathered.

The forr Priest scanned the crowd briefly and estimated there were at least a hundred individuals. She didn’t know why, but her heart suddenly began to pound, filled with an ominous sense of impending trouble.
