Since the second Dragon Seeking Team was also utterly annihilated, the matter of dragons in the swamp was no longer a secret in Green Field.

Almost overnight, the Arias family’s territory was rife with rumors, and soon after, a sense of panic set in.

Miss Rabbit did not know whether there was soone behind this adding fuel to the fire, but she no longer had the ti to consider this. During this period, the young girl was either busy seeking reinforcents or working with the officials in her territory to pacify the people.

However, so still chose to flee Green Field. The majority of those fleeing were self-sustaining farrs, along with so craftsn and small producers, all of whom were precious to every Lord, especially the artisans who were essential to every village.

What made Ireya even more angered was that nearby Lords took the opportunity to offer favorable conditions to attract the Refugees from Green Field.

When these fellows were asked to send troops, they would find all kinds of excuses to delay, but when it ca to undercutting the foundations of the Arias family, they were full of vigor.

In just a month, Green Field had lost hundreds of civilians, and with the Alliance Army yet to arrive, more and more people chose to leave their hos for the sake of their own and their families’ lives.

Ireya had previously expended significant efforts, taking in the Weiting Family who had been exiled to the western territories and striving to settle patients who ca to Green Field for treatnt. She had barely managed to fill the population gap caused by the devastation of the lizard people, and in the blink of an eye, all her efforts were for naught.

Moreover, her population was continuously decreasing.

Miss Rabbit was at her wits’ end over this.

A monster that had been absent for more than three thousand years had reappeared in Green Field, and it could soar in the skies, spitting terrifying flas from its mouth.

The re thought of it was enough to chill one’s heart; ordinary people simply could not muster the courage to confront such a being.

The reason these free n aligned themselves with a Lord was not only for the land to plant crops but also, and importantly, for the protection that these Lords could offer.

Now that it was clear that the Arias family had no way to deal with the giant dragon, these people naturally did not want to remain and et their end with the Arias family.

And the remaining serfs, having sold themselves into bondage to the Arias family, had no choice but to stay, yet they too lived in constant fear.

Fearing that the noble masters would force them to fight that giant dragon, all of Green Field was now shrouded in fear, a gloom hanging over everything.

However, there were so people who, upon hearing the news, did not stay away from Green Field but instead rushed over. Among them was naturally Ferdinand and the three hundred warriors he brought with him.

According to the young Baron’s words, he had co to fulfill the oath of mutual watch and support, advancing or retreating together, made by the ancestors of the Batoris Family and the Arias family; not even flas spewed from a dragon’s mouth could render that sacred commitnt void.

Beyond the tily aid from Ferdinand, there was also an uninvited guest who appeared outside Teacup Castle.

"Do you want to send her away?" the Family Head Yago asked.

"What, send her away? Of course not, Adelle is my friend," Ireya said. "I will never drive her away from my territory."

"I can understand your friendship with Miss Adelle, but she has now been expelled from the Silver Moon Church and her reputation is in ruins. If people learn that you are close to her, it might affect your own reputation and that of the Arias family..." Yago gently reminded.

"I don’t care!" Miss Rabbit snorted coldly. "I truly do not care at all. I’ve seen through it all—the Arias family might not have the best reputation among the nobles of the West, but it’s certainly not bad. Whether it was my grandfather or my father, they have always been very upright people...

"As for , I know so people call a fool behind my back, but ever since I beca the head of the Arias family, I haven’t done anything atrocious. Yet now, look—other than the Batoris Family, who have been on good terms with us for generations, who else is coming to our aid?"

"But as for the Church..."

"Anyway, the Church has been dissatisfied with for more than a day or two, and the incident last ti was a ss of their own making. They couldn’t stand the thriving growth of the Double Rest Sect, and wanted to cause trouble for rlin, heh, but they didn’t have the ability to do so themselves. They were hung up and beaten by rlin. They lost the contest and had the audacity to do it but not own up to it, pushing all the bla onto Adelle instead."

Ireya stood up from her chair with a curl of her lip, "Let them think what they will. Right now, I’m going to et my friend!"

Having said that, the girl left the room where she handled state affairs, hurriedly descended the stairs, and ca to the castle’s front gate, where her waiting friend stood.

Adelle had grown even thinner than before. She was already petite, her head only reaching up to Ireya’s chest. If she had been delicate the last ti they t, now she appeared frail, and her eyes looked timorous.

When they t, the forr Priest’s lips moved as if she wanted to say sothing, but then the Lady threw herself at her, giving her a solid bear hug.

At that mont, the triangular ears atop Adelle’s head trembled, and then her nose began to sting.

Ever since she was expelled from the Church, she had gone from a respected Female Priest to a charlatan who everyone cursed. Everywhere she went, she was t with insults and disdain.

Even her own family had cut ties with her. All her forr friends and relatives shut their doors to her. Since moving out of the Temple, she even struggled to find a place to stay for a while, resorting to living in an inn.

And when the innkeeper found out who she was, he had his staff throw out her belongings and told her to leave imdiately.

Adelle had not felt such a warm embrace in a very long ti.

However, the moved feeling lasted barely a mont before she heard a certain dead rabbit cry out, "Ouch, how co the feeling has changed?!"

The forr Priest looked down to find that soone’s hand had sohow wrapped around her.

Adelle quickly reached out to slap away the offending hand, but soon her shoulder was embraced again by soone who said, "Look how thin you’ve beco, with no feel to you at all. Co on, co inside. I’ll have the chef stew so at and properly nourish you."

But the forr Priest wriggled free from the Lady’s embrace and shook her head, "I, I won’t co in. Being seen with won’t look good for you. Actually, I ca because I heard about the dragon and wanted to see if there’s any way I can help."

"Is that so? But how can you help if you don’t co in?"

"Just find a place to stay outside, and when the great battle starts, I can treat the wounded for you." Adelle obviously had thought through her plans before arriving.
