Jude heard the barking of the black dog and his face instantly tightened, "What have you found?"

Black Beauty couldn’t answer, but whether it was the tail held between its legs, the tightly arched body, or the hair that nearly stood on end, all were telling their master that this ti’s opponent was extrely dangerous.

Jude had been with this big black dog for so long, yet he had only seen it this nervous twice.

And the last ti was when they faced that big bear.

At the sa ti, Jude also saw those three lizard people not far away, who had also drawn their weapons and were shouting sothing.

Unfortunately, Jude’s knowledge of the lizard people’s language wasn’t up to par; he had only learned a few phrases right before setting out, barely enough to say words like go, stop, eat, sleep, and a few other simple ones.

He couldn’t understand at all what those lizard people were shouting, but he didn’t need to understand anymore.

Because Jude could already see the dark shadow above his head.

Although he had ntally prepared himself before setting off, upon witnessing the true face of that monster, even just a fleeting glimpse, the ugly-faced man was still frightened, he even forgot to turn on the sports cara strapped to his chest at first.

It had been over three thousand years since dragons appeared on the Bratis Continent.

When the last dragon - the nine hundred-year-old "Tyrant" knowing his end was near, tirelessly crossed half the Continent and flew towards the sea, towards the storm, there had been no trace of those terrifying creatures on this land. Until today.

Everyone involuntarily held their breath, their heads tilted up, staring dazedly at the huge figure passing overhead.

So people couldn’t help shedding tears, murmuring, "So beautiful!"

Jude could understand why the other person felt this way; he himself felt the sa, as the dragon possessed a nearly perfect body.

The slender neck, wide wings, sturdy hind limbs, all the muscles fit tightly together in the skeleton, with no excess fat, filled with explosive, terrifying power.

Apart from the wings, its body was almost entirely covered with black scales, gleaming with a tallic luster similar to steel, extrely hard at first glance.

Furthermore, its spine was covered with spikes, each protruding outward, making it seem even more fierce and ferocious—as if born for slaughter.

The Black Dragon suddenly folded its wings and plunged sharply from the sky.

It landed in front of the Dragon Seeking Team, smashing two trees thick enough to be embraced in the process, yet it didn’t have a single mark on its body.

After landing, it tilted its head and looked at Black Beauty, and Jude saw a hint of curiosity in those ostrich-egg-sized blue pupils.

Although this dragon’s body was already over seven ters long, with wings spread it could span over ten ters.

However, according to those lizard people, it had just been born not long ago and had never left this swamp, so it presumably hadn’t seen a black hound before.

Black Beauty had already fallen silent before it even landed, crawling on the ground in front of the terrifying Dragon Power, trembling all over.

The dragon stretched out a wing, seemingly wanting to poke the big black dog, but if it really did touch him, Jude didn’t know if Black Beauty would still be alive.

However, the descendants of the Enríquez family no longer dared to just grab an axe and charge in.

What a joke, this monster was clearly beyond their league, not just beyond theirs but even Jude suspected that if Ireya were to gather the entire Arias family army and even with the addition of Li Yu’s lizard people, they would probably still be no match for this Black Dragon.

There was no point in fighting anymore, everyone might as well pack up and run!

Of course, before running, they needed to think of a way to rescue Black Beauty.

Jude racked his brain for a thod to rescue the big black dog, but before he could co up with anything, he saw the Black Dragon suddenly drop Black Beauty, kick off its hind legs, and leap in front of a rcenary who was trying to sneak away amidst the chaos.

It went straight for him, biting off half of his body in one bite!

This bloody scene shocked everyone present.

No one knew who started it, but the people scattered in all directions to escape, without needing Jude’s signal, Black Beauty had already gotten up from the ground and rushed to his master’s side.

Jude didn’t rush to flee, but instead stood still and observed the situation first.

This action actually saved his life; the dragon burst out with agility that didn’t match its body at all. It didn’t take off flying but used its wings to prop up its upper body. With its hind legs, it crawled around, chasing the escaping rcenaries.

It often caught up with soone in just a few steps, either biting off their head or impaling them from behind with the spikes on its wings, skewering them like kebabs. Then it would turn its head to seek new prey.

Jude saw a Half-Beast rcenary, who had earlier co to tell him about Old George’s disappearance, show a glimr of despair in his remaining eye when the Black Dragon caught up with him.

He was one of the few who did not continue to flee but chose to turn around and fight.

However, this was completely futile; his two-handed sword struck the Black Dragon, making a tinkling sound as it was blocked by a black scale.

The sword then slid to the side.

Jude reckoned that his all-out strike was probably just like scratching an itch for the dragon.

However, the one-eyed rcenary’s action clearly enraged the Black Dragon, which swung its tail, striking the rcenary’s chest and caving it in. The rcenary was flung away by the force, likely dead before he even landed.

Jude finally rembered to turn on the Holy Artifact—a motion cara—that Li Yu had given him, capturing this scene perfectly.

Jude always thought he feared nothing, even when Li Yu exposed his identity and Ireya had him imprisoned in the dungeon of the Arias family, facing imminent death, he had never felt as terrified as he did now, his hands trembling as he turned on the cara.

After all, being beheaded by soone is one thing, being swallowed whole by a monster like chewing on peas is quite another.

Taking advantage of the giant dragon still preying on the faster runners, Jude no longer hesitated, taking Black Beauty and diving into the forest. He didn’t care about directions anymore, just choosing the paths with the most trees to run through.

Seeing soone ahead of him, a savage glint appeared in Jude’s eyes as he raised his axe and struck down on that person’s calf.

The rcenary hadn’t expected Jude to attack him and scread in agony as he fell to the ground.

Jude didn’t know if the blood would attract the dragon, but at this point, to save his life, he was willing to try anything that might work.
