The OA from the Third Era was probably the most straightforward, yet bizarre system Li Yu had ever used.
After entering the employee ID and password on a login page featuring a background of ancient hominids from the South, it would directly jump to the personal information page.
Although it had been only 42 days since Li Yu joined, his job level had already risen from p1 to p3, and just as Xu ngyuan had promised, the Third Era’s promotion system was indeed transparent.
It was entirely determined by the number of faith points, without any subjective scoring or the need to please any leaders or supervisors.
Similar to a ga’s leveling system, it not only clearly marked the experience required for the next level but also thoughtfully included a progress bar below to intuitively feel the changes in experience.
Beyond that, the Third Era is likely the only company brazen enough to throw all the job benefit information right on the hopage, seemingly without concern about comparisons among colleagues or the inversion of seniority between newcors and veterans.
Li Yu read the detailed content carefully and found that the changes from p1 to p3 were quite significant.
First of all, his fixed salary had increased from 17,000 to 23,000, roughly 3,000 per level, which might not compare with so top-tier companies, but the speed of the increase was unbeatable.
Li Yu had jumped two levels within less than one and a half months of joining. Of course, just like in gas, the initial levels are always relatively easy, and the further one progresses, the more experience — or in this case, faith points — are needed.
From p1 to p2 only required 100 faith points, but the leap from p2 to p3 demanded 1,000 points, and from p3 to p4 the requirent spiked to 10,000 points. According to the observed pattern, the faith points needed for each succeeding level were exactly ten tis those of the previous level.
However, Li Yu guessed that the demand for experience, or rather faith points, would likely not continue to grow exponentially.
Otherwise, after a few more promotions, even if he converted the entire population of the Bratis Continent into believers, it would not be enough to et his requirents for advancent.
Besides the fixed salary, Li Yu noticed that the reimbursent limit had also increased after the promotion, going from the original 15,000 to the current 30,000.
30,000 might seem like a lot, but considering the number of believers he was managing, the money would not last long. For instance, for the dical competition, as well as the previous treatnts for the lizard people, Li Yu needed a large quantity of dicines, including a considerable amount of prescription drugs.
With the current policies and regulations, it was almost impossible to obtain that many prescription drugs through official channels.
Li Yu had to use all the connections he’d made at his previous dical company to find a drug dealer. This dealer colluded with a point for collecting expired drugs, secretly selling expired dicines that had been discarded by major hospitals.
Although expired, these drugs had just recently surpassed their expiration date and still had reliable efficacy; their prices were also about half of the regular drugs.
But even so, Li Yu still spent nearly thirty thousand yuan on dication, and now he only had a little over four thousand yuan left in his expense account for the month. Moreover, to treat the new recruits at Green Field who were ill, he would definitely have to continue investing in dication going forward.
It was almost like spending money to buy population and followers.
So much so that Li Yu was considering whether he should unlock the skill to extract Penicillin earlier.
Besides the salary and expense reimbursent, the most noticeable change after the promotion was undoubtedly the two newly unlocked features—the welco gift for new employees and employee wishes.
Li Yu noticed that the words ’claim’ and ’contact’ in the brackets were clickable.
After so thought, he first clicked ’claim’, and the cursor hovered over the word ’claim’ for about half a second before the page transitioned to a lucky draw ga where he had to smash golden eggs.
There were a total of nine golden eggs bouncing around on the screen, and above them hung a banner that read, "Congratulations on the promotion, co and claim your promotion gift!"
At the sa ti, the designer of this page had added ribbon effects and the song "Good Luck" playing in the background, making it as tacky and lively as could be.
Li Yu didn’t rush to act but brought his face a little closer to the screen, and in the bottom right corner of the banner, he saw a string of words smaller than grains of rice.
Prizes are sponsored by the Equipnt Departnt. So genius proposals weren’t approved, but it’s okay, we still secretly made them anyway.
PS: They might not be practical, but they are definitely cool.
PPS: What, you want sothing even better? Go to the store and buy it with faith!
Li Yu shook his head, randomly chose egg number 5, and clicked it with the mouse turned hamr to smash.
The next mont, a popup appeared!
Congratulations on smashing [Gaming Sunglasses](2 stars)
—Wear these magical sunglasses to imrse yourself in gaming at all tis. Designed specifically for hardcore gars, they help you quickly adapt to a new job. Caution advised for non-gars. Please collect the actual item at the Equipnt Departnt.
Li Yu clicked the mouse again, this ti on egg number 9.
As the little hamr fell, a golden light burst forth on the screen!
Stars kept flying out from the corners, and the volu of "Good Luck" got louder.
Congratulations on smashing [Eco-friendly Frog](4 stars)
—Everyone has a part to play in environntal protection. Take good care of this cute little frog, and every once in a while, it will bring you so trash.
???
From these two prizes, Li Yu felt the quirky humor of so people in the Equipnt Departnt.
But with just the vague descriptions, he couldn’t be sure of the actual uses of the two items, and Li Yu couldn’t be bothered to guess, so he simply closed his computer and went to bed.
The next morning, he arrived at the company on ti, only to see Hephaestus already waiting there, holding a cup of coffee and chatting up the receptionist with great charm.
The mont he saw Li Yu, the handso half-blood’s eyes lit up. He left the pretty girl at the side and ca over, babbling, "True to form, you’ve managed to draw the second most valuable prize in the employee prize pool!"
"You an that Eco-friendly Frog that picks up trash?" asked Li Yu.
"Exactly, that’s my masterpiece. I ca so early today just to personally hand it over to you!" said Hephaestus enthusiastically.
He looked as if a mother was watching her daughter finally getting married.
