It wasn’t long before those who lived in Green Field all knew that the Silver Moon Church had sent a female priest.
She wasn’t tall, spoke in a soft and gentle voice, and was a bit shy, easily frightened, but anyone who ca into contact with her was touched by her kindness and tenderness.
The nearby villagers could go to her with any problem, and she would patiently listen to each person’s grievances.
This was sothing that the mbers of the newly arrived Weiting Family from Green Field felt deeply.
When Adele learned that their longhouse was leaking, she organized the nearby villagers to repair the roof for them free of charge.
Though it didn’t completely resolve the leaking issue, at least there were no more waterfalls inside the house.
The young female priest also picked wildflowers from the woods, suggesting the Weiting Family’s mbers place them in their house to offset so of the unpleasant odors.
Adele even paid out of her own pocket to buy so daily necessities for the poor villagers, and with the secret aid of a certain domineering Lord, it didn’t take long for the female priest’s reputation to spread throughout Green Field.
So much so, that rumors began to circulate that she might actually be a ssenger of Pisya in the mortal world.
However, unlike those ignorant commoners, the Weiting Family, after all, had once been a leading Noble family in the Empire, and they had personally supported the rise of the Storm Church. They understood the Church’s intricate sches far more than ordinary people.
They were well aware that this was the usual tactic of the Church when recruiting and solidifying its followers.
But seeing through it is one thing, most people did not feel resistant or averse to it.
After all, the benefits Adele brought were tangible, and they had already lost their Noble status and were exiled from Crab’s Corner to Green Field miles away.
Now that the Sea God Claudius could no longer look after them, they indeed needed to find a new reliance.
In the West, there seed to be no choice but the Silver Moon Goddess.
Thus, both parties can be said to have been willing, continuously flirting with each other.
The reason the surviving mbers of the Weiting Family hadn’t imdiately agreed to beco followers of Pisya was only that they wanted to hold out a bit longer to see if they could reap more benefits.
However, just as things were looking up and they were about to seal the deal, the Weiting Family’s attitude suddenly beca ambiguous over the night.
Adele, with her keen senses, felt that sothing might have happened, so she sought out other farrs in the hostead, and after a bit of questioning, learned where the problem lay.
The girl nad Jane had returned to the hostead yesterday afternoon.
Adele was not unfamiliar with this na, she knew that the child had previously suffered a severe illness, at the brink of death, and at that ti, Priest Tessa had also visited her.
Priest Tessa was renowned for her dical skills within the Silver Moon Church, and after so diagnosis, she had concluded that the child was beyond help.
Jane’s brother, unable to accept this cruel truth, pleaded with Ireya to think of another way, so Ireya sought out rlin, and once rlin took action, Jane’s condition miraculously stabilized quickly, and after a little more than ten days, she had fully recovered.
This incident had already spread within Teacup Castle and seed not to be made up, as Ireya, the current Lord, was present at the ti and could testify to it.
After this, Jane’s brother Fitzwilliam quickly converted to the Double Rest Sect, and not long after, he took his sister to live with him in the territory of the Double Rest Sect.
Taking a deep breath, Adele looked westward. So, that guy finally couldn’t resist intervening?
Seeing as she had been in Green Field for so ti now, it was also ti to et that mysterious Prophet rlin.
After deciding on her course of action, the female priest left a note for Ireya and then set out on a carriage towards the territory of the Double Rest Sect.
Shortly, she arrived outside the lizard people’s village.
To say she wasn’t scared would be a lie, although Adele had information that the lizard people had beco much more settled, the many past brutal acts of these swamp-dwelling bandits were truly too nurous to record. Otherwise, the Silver Moon Church would not have abandoned the idea of bringing them into the fold as followers.
So the closer she got to the destination, the faster Adele’s heart throbbed.
However, when she finally saw the group of lizard people, she unexpectedly found their attitude to be quite... well, amiable.
After Li Yu’s period of preaching, the lizard people had beco increasingly firm in their dream of establishing the Land God Kingdom and recognized the importance of recruiting followers.
With the recent success story of the Fitzwilliam siblings converting, their attitude toward newcors had undergone a great transformation.
Every day, soone would squat on the brick kilns, scouting for new targets.
Unfortunately, the location of the Double Rest Sect was too remote, and the lizard people’s previous infamy too excessive, resulting in an area for miles where almost no one dared to approach.
Now that they had chanced upon a newcor, the lizard people were naturally exceptionally enthusiastic.
Even when Adele introduced herself as a priest from the Silver Moon Church, seeking rlin, they showed no hostility. They nodded and escorted her into the village.
This made the Female Priest feel sowhat embarrassed.
She had arrived with ill intentions, yet the Saturday worshippers treated her with etiquette after learning of her identity, with even greater warmth.
Such magnanimity truly inspired respect.
But that was just the Female Priest overthinking things; most of the lizard people didn’t understand the Universal Language and could not comprehend what she was saying. They only understood the last two words—rlin.
They assud Adele was a friend of rlin’s or perhaps soone inspired by rlin’s great na, specially coming to join the Double Rest Sect.
Fortunately, as they walked along, Adele gradually caught on.
Because when she tried asking so questions, the lizard people just kept smiling at her, nodding continuously without giving any answers.
It dawned on Adele that these lizard people, who didn’t seem much different from ordinary humans, couldn’t communicate with her.
She was thus ushered by the lizard people all the way to a pretty little red house.
Seeing the expressions of the lizard people, the Female Priest guessed this must be the residence of the Prophet.
So, she quickly began to scrutinize the building before her.
With red walls and green tiles, the roof was enhanced by an outstretched brick surround, the purpose of which was unclear.
It was delicate indeed, but not majestic, and it also lacked a sense of sanctity, in no way comparable to the ancient stone temples built by the Silver Moon Church.
However, Adele did not underestimate the person living inside because of this.
She knew that just two months ago, this had been nothing but bare land, and now it was flourishing—this was clearly inseparable from the Prophet’s skills.
The young Female Priest adjusted the square scarf at her chest, positioning the Silver Moon insignia of the Church to the most visible spot, and then she stepped forward and said loudly,
"Silver Moon Church, Priest Adele has co to visit Prophet rlin."
There was no response from inside.
Adele wasn’t sure if this was rlin trying to snub her, but rembering the mission she was entrusted with, she didn’t back down and stood firm outside the door.
Many overlooked the strong heart that incongruously accompanied her petite fra and gentle speech.
Adele wasn’t worried about being left hanging by rlin because the longer she was disregarded, the more impolite the hoowner would be.
So not only did she not feel uncomfortable, she straightened her spine, standing tall and proud.
After a while, a voice finally ca from the house, "Sorry, I just fell asleep. You said you’re from the Silver Moon Church? Good timing, co in, co in. I’ve got so many words I can’t write."
