"However, please keep my departure a secret for the ti being."
"By the ti certain people realize it, I should be almost back. That way, you'll all be relatively safer. After all, so may hesitate to act because of ," he explained.
The beautiful lady nodded obediently upon hearing Rein speak of serious matters.
Rein had ntioned this to her before, and she wholeheartedly agreed with his approach of not indulging in pleasures but pursuing continuous improvent in his strength.
Especially after experiencing her own family's rise and fall, she understood one thing very well: a family's core fighting strength is indispensable.
This was sothing she couldn't compensate for, no matter how talented she was in business and how much wealth she created.
Since many things in Rein's new residence were still not in place, such as carriages, the lovely lady considerately asked: Continue reading stories on empire
"Rein, do you need a carriage arranged to take you there?"
"No need, I can get there faster on horseback," Rein shook his head.
"Oh no!" exclaid the lady, her face pale with shock.
She hastily got up, revealing patches of her fair, creamy skin as she began to get dressed.
"Hmm?" Rein looked at her, puzzled.
"It's getting light, I must return to my room imdiately. If your parents..." she explained while dressing.
Rein suddenly understood!
After breakfast and saying goodbye to his family and Jennifer, Rein, wearing a hood and a black cloak, still with two horses, headed towards the Golden Coast in Rosby County.
Because of the tight schedule, Rein did not go to Richmond Fishing Port to catch up with Has.
He planned to drop by on the way back.
...
Six days later, Rein arrived at a small town on the Golden Coast called Landonia.
Amidst the azure sea and sky, with the cool sea breeze of winter, Rein found Master Ganther's secluded spot right across from a white lighthouse on the coast with the help of the local residents.
Rein hadn't expected Master Ganther's retreat to be quite so... distinctive!
It was on a small island about twenty ters away from the shore.
And between the island and the shore was only a narrow path connecting them.
Perhaps calling it a path was not entirely accurate, for the middle section of the path was a stone arch bridge.
Rein stood on the seashore, looking out to the sea.
He could clearly see rough rocks scattered across the small island, and near the center, seven or eight simple stone houses and a group of figures practicing swordsmanship, facing the sea.
Around the lighthouse, there were also several simple wooden houses. Unlike the stone houses on the island, there were mostly wooden structures here, and the number of young people far exceeded that on the island.
These individuals, so alone and so in groups, were all practicing various forms of swordsmanship.
Rein took a quick look and raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself, "My goodness, most of them are official Knights, while a few are Squires, but the Squires are noticeably younger."
"But then, the young people by the lighthouse aren't on the island. Could it be there's so sort of division? Only those above a certain level of swordsmanship can go to the island, and the rest can only train here?"
Rein was sowhat puzzled.
It seed that his presence as a stranger was sensed, as many of the young people focused their gaze on him, but after a quick glance, nobody ca forward, instead continuing their swordsmanship practice.
Despite being tens of ters away, Rein's keen perception allowed him to clearly hear the young people whispering amongst themselves.
"Another one's here!"
"I wonder if he's been introduced by a great noble, or if he's like us, having to pass an examination."
"Hmpf, what's the use of being introduced by a great noble? Master Ganther won't spoil them; if they're not up to par, they're just not up to par."
"..."
Rein frowned slightly, listening to this, it seed that Master Ganther was quite strict.
But soon, his brow relaxed.
He was here to learn real skills.
A great teacher produces great students; being strict is not a bad thing.
As long as he could learn sothing!
It seed that soone on the island also noticed Rein, mounted on the tall black horse. One person, in particular, was quickly crossing the narrow path, rushing toward him.
Seeing the other person draw near, and out of courtesy, Rein decided to dismount the black horse first.
The newcor was also a young man, holding a Dual-Handed Greatsword and standing nearly half a head taller than Rein, with a height of almost two ters.
"Are you here to see Master Ganther?"
"Yes," Rein replied.
"Do you have an introduction letter?"
"Yes," Rein nodded, about to take the letter from his pocket.
At this point, the young man waved his hand and said, "That's fine, no need to show it to ; you can give it directly to the Master later."
The young man then took another look at Rein, who appeared quite ordinary to him, and then glanced at the noticeably larger and stronger black horse next to Rein, and said, "Nice horse."
The implication was clear.
The nice horse implied that Rein did not match the horse, because it was only the horse that was nice.
But Rein didn't mind.
Because changing soone's opinion isn't about talk; it's about showing strength.
"Follow ," said the young man, seemingly surprised by Rein's composed deanor, and with a slight nod, turned to lead the way.
