However, the beautiful woman soon cald down, her face revealing contemplation.

Jenny shouldn't be disturbing her at this ti, should she?

Could sothing have happened?

Imdiately, the beautiful woman called out, "I'm awake! Jenny, wait a mont."

It seed that soone outside breathed a sigh of relief, and Jenny's voice rose again, "Mother, Baron Alonso is here again, the guards can't stop him, he's already downstairs."

"Hmm? Alonso?" Reine's expression grew stern as he turned to look at the beautiful woman beside him.

He felt that the beautiful woman was still virtuous, and he could tell that from certain aspects.

How could Jennifer be involved with a guy like Alonso?

If it weren't for the fact that the man's father was Count Habs, Alonso would probably have tall grass growing over his grave by now.

Seeing Reine's inquiring look, Jennifer seriously said, "Hmm, he has co several tis this year, hoping I would beco his mistress, but I refused."

So that was it!

Reine nodded.

It seed that yet another was coveting Jennifer.

"You rest here; I'll take care of him for you."

"Hmm, right… Reine, do you know he's the eldest son of Count Habs?" the beautiful woman nodded first, then looked at Reine anxiously as she spoke.

"Of course, not only that, I also have so rather unpleasant mories with him," Reine said gravely.

Hearing Reine say this, the beautiful woman nodded in understanding and continued:

"I suspect the robbery of our goods this ti, and the oppressions against the Crawley family in County Town, are connected to him."

"However, I have no evidence."

Reine was taken aback when he heard this.

They had used both threats and temptations!

Jennifer wasn't having it easy!

After thinking for a mont, Reine embraced the beautiful woman and comforted her softly.

"Reine, let help you dress," the beautiful woman said, like a wife helping Reine get dressed.

Indeed, a mature woman knows how to care for others.

Soon, Reine, fully dressed, stepped out of the bedroom.

Seeing Reine co out, Jenny at the door was startled!

Well then!

In front of her, the two were making no attempt to conceal anything.

"This... Lord Reine, isn't my mother coming?" Jenny asked softly.

"Let Jennifer rest well, as for Alonso? Leave him to ," Reine said sternly.

At that mont, a luxurious carriage had just stopped at the front door of the Crawley family villa, a middle-aged man dressed in noble hunting attire, with an arrogant deanor, stepped down from the carriage.

The Crawley family's butler said with a worried expression, "Baron Alonso, the lady is resting and hasn't gotten up yet; it's not polite for you to go up now."

"It's alright, maybe Jennifer is ill, I should go check on her in her room," he said.

As soon as he said this, it was as clear as 'Simazhao's intentions known to all.'

The butler, like a duck choked by the neck, initially wanted to say sothing but was silenced by Alonso's shalessly brazen words.

Thus, under the helpless gaze of the servants, Baron Alonso, protected by his personal guards, stride confidently into the villa.

At this mont, Alonso's heart was extrely pleased as the 'fruit' had ripened, and he was here to pick it, or at least to give it a squeeze.

In the past six months, he had secretly contacted and influenced many low-level nobles and wealthy rchants to suppress all aspects of Crawley family's business, already shaking their standing in the comrcial field.

This ti the news of an imported batch of precious Bordeaux wines, he had leaked to the 'Wild Wolf Hills' bandit group.

Upon hearing that the Crawley family's batch of Bordeaux wines had been robbed, his mood soared!

He believed that this would be the last straw to break Jennifer's spirit.

So, he ca this ti as a victor, to see the devastated and compliant deanor of the beautiful woman.

Just the thought of the beautiful woman's fiery figure and stunning face made Alonso's heart suddenly heat up.

He disliked using force.

He preferred to have the beautiful woman surrender voluntarily and then inevitably co to plead with him, for to him, that was more interesting.

After all, he was a gentleman. He couldn't be forceful!

Suddenly, Alonso stopped his steps.

Because he felt an aggressive gaze trained on him from ahead.

Alonso looked up to find a tall and commanding figure standing high on the central staircase of the second floor, gazing down at him.

This situation, with the other party high above and him below, made him extrely uncomfortable, just as he was about to reprimand the other.

Alonso took a closer look and his heart instantly 'thudded'!

Was it Reine?

How could this guy be here?

"Baron Alonso, long ti no see!" Reine, from his elevated position, greeted him with a smile, adopting the posture of the host.

"You... Baron Reine, long ti no see!" Alonso answered, suppressing his surprise and uncertainty.

He knew that Reine had just t his father—Count Habs the day before.

"Thank you, it seems Baron Alonso is well-inford. By the way, may I ask what brings you here…" Reine asked, feigning ignorance.

"To visit a friend?" Alonso replied reluctantly.

"Oh? It wouldn't be Lady Crawley, would it? If so, please turn back," Reine said, effectively evicting him.

"Hmm?" Alonso's eyes twitched, sensing sothing unfavorable.

"She worked hard all night and is now resting well!" Seeing that Alonso was still not backing down, Reine added a comnt any man would understand.
