At this mont, everything was gone, with only the dark red bloodstains remaining on the walls of the passage and a faint scent of blood in the air, indicating that a fierce battle had taken place here before.
The place where the murals were hidden was located at the lowest level, in a warehouse on the sa floor as Graham’s laboratory, or perhaps it might be more apt to call it a cave.
As the group of three entered, Rein quickly noticed that there were over a dozen murals on the surrounding rock walls, with colors that had dimd and appeared sowhat blurred, indicating their age.
"Your Crown, Rein, Sect Leader, it’s right here," Bradley pointed to the cave wall and said.
The content depicted on the first mural showed a group of human warriors and wizards in classical bronze battle armor, fighting a black-robed girl by the seaside, surrounded by powerful, ferocious sea beasts.
The warriors roared and swung their swords; the wizards cast spells loudly, battling the black surging waves, lifelike and vivid.
The second mural...
"It seems to depict scenes of ancient humans fighting against the Divine," Moria remarked in astonishnt after a brief recognition.
It’s known that many records of the Divine, due to the passage of ti and constant wars, have rarely left behind images, and even when recorded, they are mostly in fragnts of text.
Moreover, in this regard, various cults seed to share a tacit understanding, deliberately erasing so of the related records.
"This is the Nether Sea Goddess Hela... and this is... the God of Hunting Luen..."
Looking at the first few murals, Rein soon recognized that the opponents of the ancient human warriors and wizards were the few Evil Gods he was familiar with.
The middle murals, however, depicted humans gaining an advantage under the leadership of a certain divine being, defeating several Evil Gods.
As for the later murals...
"Huh?"
"Is this... a Fiend Demon?" Rein squinted his eyes, pondering silently.
In the last few murals, the content was intriguing; several beings, both familiar and unfamiliar to Rein, including both Divine and Evil Gods, were resisting so huge black Creature in their respective areas, but were clearly at a disadvantage...
That huge black Monster looked quite familiar to Rein.
Its body was flanked by several black scythes, with multiple pairs of black claws on its lower body, its head covered with skyward-pointing spikes, and a bloodthirsty mouth filled with dense sharp teeth, enveloped in black mist, floating in the air.
It was clearly an enlarged version of the Fiend Demon.
"Evil Gods fighting the Fiend Demon?" Rein paused slightly, his face thoughtful.
He had always assud that the Fiend Demon and the Evil Gods were in league, both being the ancient common enemies of humans in this world, but now it seed... not so.
Moreover, from the murals, it appeared that humans were the weakest party, the Evil Gods were on an interdiate level, while the Fiend Demon was the strongest.
"This should be a work from the dieval era, at least six millennia old."
"These are all Evil Gods, but what is that ferocious black Monster in the later murals? It seems particularly formidable," Moria pondered, pointing to the later murals.
Even though Moria was a sect leader, he was not very familiar with the Fiend Demon, which was partly due to his usual focus on constructing chanical Golems and Demon Statues.
"That’s a Fiend Demon, a... very terrifying creature." At this mont, Rein spoke up in explanation beside him.
"Fiend Demon? Terrifying?" Hearing even Rein describing it so, Moria’s face suddenly turned serious.
Because it was only after entering the ranks of the Dawn Wizard that Moria realized he still could not discern the depths of Rein’s strength; in fact, Rein’s spiritual power oscillations, though subtle, felt vast as the sea, becoming increasingly unfathomable.
"Sir Bradley, are there any other murals nearby?"
"No, Your Crown Rein, I’ve checked repeatedly."
"Hmm, place a form of shielding witchcraft here to preserve these murals well."
"Understood, Your Crown Rein."
...
When Rein returned to the Isodre School Station, he suddenly saw his ntor, Mogaro, in the hall, warmly speaking with three tall, slim won whose apparel was distinctly different from humans’.
"Rein!"
The youngest Elf Girl among them, like a buoyant butterfly dancing gracefully, carrying a unique scent of grass and trees, flew into Rein’s arms.
"Anna, why are you here?" Holding Anna’s warm and slender waist, Rein relished the girl’s enthusiasm, yet couldn’t help being sowhat surprised, and asked.
Because logically, even if Anna had been notified to co to the Imperial City Tamriel, she should currently be reunited with her mother.
"You rescued so many missing clansn this ti. Elder Nasha wanted to thank you personally on behalf of the Elf Clan and, upon hearing you ca to the Shirendil Plateau, I asked Ms. Olena to bring us to find you."
As Anna spoke, she pointed to Olena beside her.
"Additionally, my mother has largely recovered and wishes to... see you."
Then, as if suddenly rembering the presence of others around, especially her mother, Anna’s face flushed with shyness; she reluctantly but had to release Rein’s embrace, blinking her large, beautiful eyes, and said.
Rein showed a mont of realization and focused his gaze on the two Elven won.
Indeed, the Elf woman exuding a classical yet beautiful deanor with faint crow’s feet was the long-unseen Elder Nasha, while the one smiling and constantly observing Rein and Anna, was Ms. Darien Yueling, Anna’s mother.
