"Alright, we'll head over now,"

However, after thinking it over, Rein changed out of his clothes, replacing his linen waistcoat with the plate armor he had worn before.

Although he possessed the Transcendent characteristic 'Iron Skin,' having an extra layer of protection on the outside would undoubtedly be safer.

After all, when it's possible to 'stack armor,' one should always layer up as much as possible!

When Rein returned to the church, he saw several individuals clad in Knight Armor, among them Knight Lloyd and swordsmanship instructor Perez, both of whom were 'old acquaintances.'

Uh... it was Rein who knew these two. They, however, did not recognize him, as Rein's previous status was far too low for them to have taken notice!

Inside the carriage, the gorgeous Baroness Cleya lifted the curtain, nodded at Rein as he approached, and offered a faint smile.

The only person present whom Rein didn't recognize was a bearded middle-aged man.

"Knight Lloyd, swordsmanship instructor Perez, I am Rein. May I ask, who is this?"

"This is Baron Alonso," Knight Lloyd introduced.

Alonso?

Rein's pupils suddenly contracted; wasn't that the na of the man behind the attack on him?

This person is?

And according to the previous introduction by Hamilton, this man was also Cleya's brother.

Count Habs's eldest legitimate son!

If he didn't know the previous incident was orchestrated by this person, Rein would truly have been deceived by this 'actor' Baron.

At this mont, Alonso was also 'curiously' sizing up Rein.

"Good day, Baron, " Rein bowed slightly and said with a smile.

This gesture fully displayed Rein's self-cultivation as an 'actor.'

After exchanging pleasantries, Knight Lloyd imdiately clarified the reason for calling Rein over.

After all, they found the matter at hand too absurd and extraordinary!

So, Knight Lloyd directly asked, "Rein, did you kill these Cultists whose strength reached the Transcendent level?"

Just now, they had inspected the corpses on the flatbed, and judging by the black robes and attire, they were indeed Cultists of the Black Fla.

Moreover, the cuts on these corpses indicated that they were all slain with extrely clean and decisive strokes!

Of course, the angles of the cuts varied; so were split right down the middle, while others were diagonally severed.

But regardless of the angle, the attacks they suffered were all exceptionally fierce and ruthless.

This sort of swordsmanship and strength was sothing Knight Lloyd knew he couldn't achieve, let alone Rein, who was only a squire in his eyes.

The sa doubt lingered in the minds of swordsmanship instructor Perez and Alonso as well.

When they heard Knight Lloyd raise the question, they promptly directed their gaze at Rein.

Rein nodded and said, "Yes, Knight Lloyd."

Rein did not intend to conceal it, because there really was no way to do so.

This ti, with Hamilton not around, he was the only Transcendent combatant in Flashgold Town.

Additionally, besides his Night Watchman colleagues who witnessed him killing the Black Fla Cultists, many residents of Flashgold Town who were rescued also saw the event.

So, it wasn't that he didn't want to hide it; he simply couldn't!

"Rein... have you advanced to Knight?" the swordsmanship instructor Perez couldn't help but ask.

Before Rein could reply, Baron Alonso next to him answered on his behalf, "I happen to know this; Rein advanced to Transcendent so ti ago!"

A few days earlier, he had sent his butler Michel to communicate with Rein, so he was naturally aware of Rein's advancent.

"However, it seems that everyone has underestimated your strength this ti," Alonso said with a probing look, sizing up Rein and harboring many questions within.

Even if one had advanced to Transcendent and beco an official Knight, dealing with the Cultists of the Black Fla would most likely end in defeat.

And to do what Rein did, killing four Black Fla Cultists...

Nobody present could confidently claim they could achieve such a feat!

"Baron, thank you for your praise," Rein said with a modest smile.

Fully upholding the composure of an 'actor'!

After all, when one needed to feign politeness, it was necessary to play the part.

At that mont, the noisy sound of hooves approached from nearby, as if a large group of riders was racing over from not far away.

Rein looked up to see a troop of Cavalry suddenly appearing on the western road out of Flashgold Town, with a visibly anxious Hamilton at the lead.

Apparently, the ssenger that little Matteo had sent out finally managed to deliver the ssage.

It seed, though, that the notification had arrived a bit late!

The battle had already ended nearly an hour ago, thought Rein to himself.

"Dole finally managed to notify the lord!" muttered Matteo next to him.

No wonder Matteo complained; during battle, every second counted, and it was almost negligence to notify them so late.

Knight Lloyd glanced at the Cavalryman next to Hamilton and said, "The previous ssenger must have been killed; this is the Cavalry I sent to deliver the notification."

"Hmm?"

Rein glanced around, indeed, there was no sign of the Night Watchman nad Dole, but he did spot a similarly tense-looking Lagaray.

The investigation team that set out in the morning had now returned with all mbers intact!

After dismounting, Hamilton, wearing a grim expression, greeted Rein, Lloyd, and the others, then imdiately began to inspect the situation on site.
