Rein recalled the part of the Floating City design diagram in his mind that pertained to the prison.

On both sides of the corridor ahead, there were holding areas for Transcendent beings. The rooms were larger, and the cells were more robust, with features like special energy restriction devices and strong alloy grilles to counter lee types.

The unknown presence made Rein increasingly vigilant.

However, Rein did not continue to linger. He slowly walked forward.

The sound reminiscent of breathing beca louder, seemingly emanating from the fifth cell on the right about twenty ters ahead.

Additionally, he heard other noises coming from farther away in the prison.

"Huh? More than one?"

"Also, the air temperature is starting to rise."

As he thought, Rein slightly slowed his pace.

The change in air temperature was already quite noticeable at this point. Just by approaching a few ters, the temperature had risen by at least five degrees.

This slight temperature change naturally wouldn’t cause any physical discomfort to him, whose Mutated Dragon Bloodline had reached ’Super’ level.

Nevertheless, it indicated that the airflow he heard might very well not be coming from a humanoid creature but rather from high-energy beings like Giant Dragons or Dragon Descendants, which possess scorching breath.

"Survive thousands of years? Could it be a Giant Dragon?" Rein’s eyes glinted with a ray of insight.

Regarding Giant Dragons, even those at the old dragon level spanning thousands of years, he wasn’t afraid, unless the opponent was akin to ’Red Dragon King’ Straz, a near-Demigod existence.

Otherwise, given Rein’s current Sixth Form of Dragon Vein Transformation, although he couldn’t guarantee victory, he absolutely did not fear a confrontation.

As Rein approached slowly, the increasing air temperature was becoming more evident.

"Huh, sothing’s amiss. This air temperature is almost seventy to eighty degrees. Even normal Giant Dragons wouldn’t cause such a significant temperature change around them when breathing normally without using their breath."

"Could it be a special Fire Dragon?"

Rein couldn’t help but think of the Ancient Fire Dragon ’Anguskin,’ which once leapt out of a volcano.

Yet he didn’t stop his steps but continued to approach slowly with a sense of curiosity. As his perspective shifted, he could already see one side of the cell, and at this mont, he suddenly noticed a faint red glow emanating from the fifth cell.

"This..."

Finally, Rein halted his steps.

Because he was certain, whether it was a Red Dragon or a Fire Dragon, their skin and scales wouldn’t emit red rays of light of such brightness.

At this point, he found himself standing before the first cell for Transcendents.

Rein glanced over.

The cell was empty, with the floor showing no skeletal remains or such.

Apparently, this indicated that not all cells in the prison housed prisoners, which was normal.

After pondering for a mont, Rein continued onward.

On the floor of the second cell lay a skeleton, and judging by its length, it appeared to be a Transcendent from the goblins, dressed in ragged attire, rendering identity indistinguishable.

Rein cast a few glances, confird that it wasn’t human, and moved past it.

By now, Rein’s viewpoint allowed him to see part of the fifth cell on the right.

The room housed a creature resembling a Naga but with four sharp horns of varying sizes on its head, standing over three ters tall and emitting a fla besides the firelight, Rein also discovered a black mist lingering around the creature’s head.

The black mist gave Rein a sense that it seed to share a root with the black worms found in the goblin corpse’s head.

This was an instinctual perception derived from a Dawn Wizard.

The creature’s body appeared rather "fresh," indeed, fresh! Its skin didn’t look dehydrated and wrinkled like the goblin corpse; although sowhat dry, it appeared not unusual, rather sturdy.

However, recalling the goblins corrupted by the black worms, Rein understood.

Because whether it was a Goblin Manipulator or a Goblin Engineer, their subcutaneous tissue was rely shriveled, lacking complete decay, or rather, due to the black worms, decay was sowhat mitigated.

As Rein drew nearer towards the cell ahead, scrutinizing the opposite figure, the creature seed to sense Rein too, imdiately turning to face him and harshly reprimanding:

"Despicable... goblin... dare... imprison Lais..."

Imdiately, Rein noticed the creature’s grammatical error.

Goblin?

The next mont, he saw that the creature’s eyes entirely lacked pupils, displaying a hue of red white.

Judging from its fragnted speech, it appeared disoriented, or perhaps only retained so degree of instinct.

Upon scrutinizing the creature, Rein didn’t feel the urge to attack proactively.

Since the being seed not to carry any precious items, no necklace, ring, or even light armor....

He was here seeking the Valziger School Sect Leader, or rather, at least the opponent had to be human.

The humanoid creature before him was not one of his targets.

However, the creature’s power seed considerable, roughly between Legendary Late Stage and Legendary Peak.

Rein didn’t know whether the creature’s original power was stronger or weaker, or if it was due to the black mist shrouding its face?

"Boom!"

Suddenly, the red glow on the creature’s body intensified, and a wave of searing air surged outward.

"Bang!!!"

And that creature resembling a Naga rushed towards Rein, crashing heavily against the steel grille!
