However, before Rein could say anything, the Deputy Sect Leader Fiona smiled and said, "Lord Rein, I can, Lord Moria can too. But since your strength surpasses mine, it’s certainly more appropriate for you."

"Very well." Just as Rein was about to speak, suddenly, footsteps resounded at the door.

The wall shifted open once more.

"Sect Leader, this is bad!" Two male wizards wearing school standard wizard robes hurriedly entered, exclaiming.

"Our investigation revealed that the surrounding Elf Town Ruslan has been taken over by the Plague Cult, and I’m afraid the Ancient Tree Heart will be difficult to acquire."

"What?" Both Moria and Fiona’s expressions changed, not because of the Ancient Tree Heart, but because the situation was more dire than they had anticipated.

The scale of the Cult’s operation this ti was imnse.

As the two male wizards approached further, suddenly, Rein furrowed his brow, raised his hand to stop them, and said, "Wait a mont!"

"You two seem to have..."

"Huh? Who are you...?" The two appeared puzzled, evidently not recognizing Rein.

"This is not good; there’s a spiritual power mark on you, you’ve been tracked!" Deputy Sect Leader Fiona said sternly.

"No, it’s a curse; you’ve been cursed." Moria’s face changed, she said.

At this mont, under the illumination of the pale green witch array in the room, a faint cluster of fist-sized, thin black mist appeared above the two’s heads.

It imdiately caused their expressions to change drastically, as if they realized sothing.

Before they could explain anything, their faces suddenly flushed red, followed by a large gush of blood spitting from their mouths.

"Boom!"

A loud bang ensued!

The wall of the room close to the tunnel was suddenly blasted open.

"Haha, quite unexpected, following two small fishes we discovered a relic of an ancient Wizard School." A hoarse mocking voice echoed from the other end of the long tunnel.

Soon after, five hooded figures clad in black robes appeared at the breach in the blasted wall.

"Plague Cult!" Moria glanced at the bubbling cauldron emblem on their robes and said solemnly.

"Huh? Crystalization Peak?" At this ti, the leading hooded figure, upon seeing Moria and Rein, also had a change in complexion and exclaid in a low voice.

Clearly, he didn’t expect to encounter two high-rank wizards at the third level crystalization peak, following two second-level liquidation late-stage wizards.

However, as one of the three Plague ssengers, Gaeli was also at the crystalization peak, so the battle erupted suddenly.

"Plague ssenger’s Curse!" Gaeli imdiately began the casting.

"Swish!" As he swung his bone staff, five grinding wheel-sized clusters of black mist surged toward Rein and the others!

However, as the black mist entered the center of the room’s pale green witch array, its speed imdiately slowed down, though the green leaves at the witch array center visibly dulled due to the mist’s influence.

"Too arrogant!" Moria hurriedly cast her magic.

At the sa ti, Rein raised his right hand, and a silver tal ring appeared in front of him, swiftly flying toward the black-robed individuals.

As if sensing Rein’s spell’s extraordinary power, Gaeli, at the forefront, shouted for everyone to "dodge," and although two black-robed figures reacted quickly, the other two lagged behind.

Perhaps, they believed that with the black vortex-shaped defensive witchcraft protecting them, they wouldn’t be hard.

But with a ’swoosh!’ sound, the black vortexes seed nonexistent, pierced instantly, naturally leaving their bodies vulnerable.

"Ah!!!"

The two black-robed individuals looked down in disbelief at the excruciating pain from their waists and abdon, their bodies trembling as they shrieked in agony.

"Thud! Thud!"

The sound of two heavy bodies hitting the ground echoed as the two halves of their torsos fell, neither dying imdiately due to their robust life force, but instead continuing to struggle and wail.

Witnessing this scene, everyone present, friend or foe, looked at Rein in astonishnt.

As if asking if the power of that silver tal ring was too overwhelming?

Regarding Plague ssenger Gaeli, his heart sank.

Because he knew his two subordinates’ strengths well. Before entering, both had used the third-level defensive witchcraft ’Shadow Guardian.’

Yet even so, they couldn’t withstand that silver tal ring for even a second!

No wonder, when he first saw the young man cast the silver tal ring, alarm bells rang in his mind.

While everyone was amazed by the power of Rein’s spell, suddenly, a scream ca from a black-robed figure hiding behind the wall.

At the sa ti.

The wall cracked with a ’swoosh!’ as a silver tal ring pierced through, returning to Rein.

"Hiss~"

This scene made everyone in the school, including Moria, gasp.

The spell’s power and flexibility were perfect!

The key issue was that such a challenging spell, mastering it to near-instant cast, was monuntal in difficulty...

"Damn it!" Gaeli, witnessing the scene, felt a surge of anger within.

In just two seconds, this spell cast by Rein wiped out three of the elite mbers he had brought along, leaving just himself and one other.

Yet, he didn’t believe he would lose, as their Plague Sect’s specialty lay not in singular spells but group spells and curses.

"Plague Cloud!"

The skull at the tip of Gaeli’s bone staff exploded, and in an instant, a massive dark green mist appeared out of thin air, quickly drifting toward the mbers of the Bixiu chanization School.

The mist was extrely powerful, corroding most of the already dim pale green witch array as it continued toward everyone gathered.

"Move quickly!" Moria shouted, imdiately sidestepping the attack.

He knew well that so of the Plague Cult’s evil magic attacks were area-based and extrely sinister and troubleso. Once hit, it may not be imdiately lethal but would place one in a highly adverse situation.

"Sizzle!"

The large mass of dark green mist possessed exceptionally high corrosiveness and toxicity, and although it didn’t hit Rein and the others, upon striking the far room wall, it corroded through, creating a large hole several ters in diater.

It’s crucial to know this room was like a crane arm extended from mid-air, suspended directly above the lower platform.

Though everyone in the school had cautiously operated within the room for the past six months, the intense magical energy fluctuations during the recent battle had already stirred the hundreds or thousands of Stone Palate Monsters below.

Even the massive Stone Palate Monster chieftain, who originally half-squinted at the entrance railing, opened its fierce yellow-brown vertical pupils, gazing at the room a dozen ters above.

In an instant, thousands of vertical pupils focused mid-air!
