After spending half a day, the Ice Claw Bear rcenary Group had just packed their bags in the inn, now preparing to head to Marn City, the capital of Marn Province, to deliver the head of the Deep Sea Giant Dune, and the bloodied remains of Harvers and Eshura.
This is because Yilgala Town is just a small town, and rewards that rank highly on the bounty list must be collected in the County Town or above, where tasks are formally exchanged.
As for why they had to transport it to the Sword Bearers Branch in Marn Province, it was due to Fandar’s reminder to Rein.
For rcenaries, bounties an Gold Coins and honorary titles, but for Sword Bearers like Rein, they can be exchanged for a large number of rit Points and Task Evaluation dals.
Although Rein wasn’t sure how much he could exchange them for, with Admiral Edward as his endorsent, his trip to Frostwind Prairie was a business trip.
In other words, he had a legitimate reason to exchange for task rewards.
And recently, his rit Points had been depleting quite a bit, so it was a good ti to replenish them.
At the front of the group, Fandar was riding alongside the burly, scar-faced man Spencer, chatting as they moved along.
"Fandar, you’re planning to quit the rcenary trade?" Spencer asked in surprise.
But almost imdiately, as if he realized sothing, he nodded and continued, "Makes sense, with the luck you had this ti, I’d quit too."
Just as Fandar was about to share so inside information with his old friend, suddenly, a luxurious carriage and a team of fully armored cavalry stopped not far ahead.
Clearly, their intentions seed directed at the Ice Claw Bear rcenary Group.
"Everyone, stay alert!" Fandar ordered.
The first task that Lord Rein entrusted to him and the Ice Claw Bear rcenary Group naturally must have no mishaps.
"Fandar, the emblem on the carriage, it’s the crest of the Dalair Family from Fjord County!" Spencer, examining it briefly, furrowed his brows and said in a heavy voice.
"Hmm? The Dalair Family of Count Dalair?" Fandar’s expression also tightened as he spoke.
"Exactly! Fandar, I reckon they’re not here with good intentions," Spencer nodded with a serious face, reminding him.
Fandar knew of the Dalair Family, as they were the family of the Governor of Fjord County, Count Dalair, the most powerful family in all of Fjord County.
Simultaneously, his expression turned sowhat grim.
As a veteran rcenary leader, Fandar was quite familiar with so of the dark thods of Imperial Nobles, and thus, he had an inkling of the Dalair Family’s intentions here.

Tis had changed. If this were before, he might have worried or hesitated, but now, as a new subordinate of Lord Rein, there was no longer any need to fear a County Town level Earl’s family.
At this mont, a middle-aged man dressed as a butler approached, smiling, and said, "May I ask, who is the leader of the Ice Claw Bear rcenary Group, Mr. Fandar? I am Stiss, the butler of the Dalair Family."
With Spencer and Fandar each possessing their unique aura, the butler found it difficult to distinguish which of the two was the leader of the Ice Claw Bear rcenary Group.
"That would be ," Fandar said in a low voice.
"The Count is in the carriage and would like to have a private conversation with you," the butler said with a smile.
"Very well!" Fandar nodded expressionlessly.
Although he had a general idea of their intentions, since it was unavoidable, it was best to openly discuss it face-to-face; otherwise, how could he report back to Lord Rein?
