Chapter 20: 1

Layton was in the study drawing so archaic lines and weird symbols on a piece of parchnt, around him several other pieces of paper were scattered randomly around each filled with complex calculations, symbols and archaic writings.

Solace was still seated in his favourite chair with his eyes closed still attracting countless light and fla elents into his body, space was still twisting around his figure showing various scenes of different layers of reality.

Layton took a break from his work and stared at this scene, even if he had seen it countless tis since he woke up he was still a little bit shocked, the fact was that although most practitioners do absorb elents it was rare to see soone absorbing as much as solace did, also solace was absorbing them into each of his cells and conducting a forced fusion on them replacing his cell nucleus with his own homade elental sun.

When Layton first woke up a few days ago and saw this dreamy scene, he thought he was still unconscious and was dreaming but the information solace had sent into his mind while he was unconscious said otherwise.

Although solace had stated in the information that a breakthrough to level 3 ant a huge change in one’s lifeform and that a level 3 wizard was a whole new species entirely, the gap was one between mortal and divine but Layton never expected solace would be undergoing a such a huge change.

Layton cald down and searched all the mories he now had, he had gotten so incomplete mories from the man nad Lin Wei when he forcefully connected to his symbol and the information that solace had sent to him earlier further complented and completed this.

In the scattered mories he had gotten from Lin Wei, they mostly contained various national boxing routines, so combat-related information about the use of various weapons and finally the most precious information about martial intent.

.....

Layton’s domineering and martial intent were very similar to each other and overlapped in many areas, the martial intent information gave him a new perspective on the path in which he could use to increase the use of his rune, the inheritance solace sent contained a systematic explanation of his own experience of breakthrough through different levels of wizard cultivation and a ritual about the use of vows and restrictions.

In the inheritance, solace explained that from a wizard apprentice to level 1 wizard it used the pressure and radiation from the rune to transform and temper the soul-changing it from its original illusory and intangible nature to that of mist which would be able to influence reality to break through to a level 2 wizard after the totality of the soul has been transford to mist another new rune was needed to perform another transformation to the now misty soul and liquefy it changing it to liquid form making a spirit sea.

The spirit sea ford would create a sort of illusory spatial domain paving way for the wizard to be able to perceive space which would be necessary for the breakthrough to a level 3 wizard. to beco a level 3 wizard one needs to find a connection between his two different runes and apply the separate runes to create spells which would involve space itself and acquire a spatial nature, by doing this the soul sea would slowly beco a real space and begin to slowly crystalize while fusing the two runes together, once this process was completed then the breakthrough was complete.

In the inheritance solace specifically stated that different wizard each had different ways to achieve their soul transformations and each wizards path was different.

Solace himself had not fully used this traditional way to breakthrough he had used a ritual of vow and restrictions he had paid an enormous sum to get from a wizard who had gotten the piece of knowledge from a dangerous outer plane, although solace had not ntioned the vow he took Layton guessed it had sothing to do with solace inexplicable pushups he did every day at noon.

Layton shook his head coming out of his recollections and focused once again on the work before him, he was trying to perfect his rituals of vow and restrictions, if he was only using the normal version it wouldn’t take much work but Layton was trying to combine his domineering and the martial intent insights he had gained from Lin Wei.

Layton had been working on the set of ritual formations almost imdiately as soon as he woke up after all he didn’t have much ti left his inspiration had been ringing non stop making him aware that his sowhat peaceful days would soon co to an end and he needed to soon increase his combat power as soon as possible.
