Layton suddenly changed his mind and turned from defence to offence, his body seed to have turned into a missile as he tore through the atmosphere, using extre acceleration and strength to hit his attackers, the kinetic energy generated was precisely distributed to every part of the monster’s body via Layton’s subtle control of his body making sure every hit he landed would be at full force and ensure the grotesque creature would burst from the force of the attack disintegrating its form turning back to liquid and raining down on the ground.
The only creature in the skies that was not destroyed within a single clash was Lilith, although the apparitions she created possessed similar attributes to herself but at the end of the day they weren’t her after all coupled with her increasing profound achievents in combat Layton was only able to leave her with severe injuries, injuries which would heal almost instantaneously as more creature were created and continued to join the lee.
Layton seed to be slipping towards his inevitable defeat but that wasn’t the case, the truth was that he had intentionally put himself in this dilemma, since his breakthrough he found he was unable to perfectly control himself and his potential although the existence of his will theoretically granted him absolute control of himself but Layton found he didn’t possess sufficient control over the will he had generated. The will his breakthrough created was actually the light of his will and not a fragnt of his will like he previously expected, it was rely the brilliance and strength of his will escaping and subsequently being projected and rged into his rune, since it was rely a projection Layton did not have instant control of it as he wished, like a muscle it required stimulation and use to operate perfectly which was why he led himself to this precarious situation step by step.
Naturally, the ploy was successful, his domain was centred around the will and naturally its persistent use in combating Lilith’s domain and analyzing its characteristic helped trendously which was why although Lilith was growing at a fast pace Layton wasn’t far behind, Layton’s change from defence to offence was because he already possessed the ans to defeat her.
Lilith who was engrossed in the rapid combat with Layton suddenly felt a sense of threat but by the ti she sensed the threat it was too late Layton disregarded the nurous claws aiming at his body and continued to punch forward, the seemingly ordinary punch that was aiming for her head suddenly seed to glow slightly, Layton’s will which was blessed on the fist descended softly on her head, the seemingly subtle glow penetrating her mind and cutting off its connection with her body, her skull naturally exploded as she fell to the ground imdiately, the nurous monsters surrounding him also disappeared.
Her body upon touching the ground disintegrated into the black mud that rapidly congealed to form an egg, it was obviously so sort of protocol to protect her while her mind tried to wear off the effects of his will. Layton leisurely stayed in the sky recovering from his move although the attack seed simple but he expended a great deal of energy especially because previously he did not possess sufficient control over his will, but it was different now, although he was exhausted Layton was in great spirits, his rune was now a light source for his will and the spiritual lake ford from the liquefaction of his spirit mist which was now sowhat dried up due to his exhaustion was now a mirror reflecting the light of his will that his rune emitted, this phenonon created a unique pressure as it dispersed his will without affecting his control, the nurous energy particles in the air that passed through his domain were lightly imprinted by his will that was abundant in the field, the unique pressure was also evident in his field as space and ti in it seed a little more compact, ti outside and inside his domain flowed at different rates, although the actual difference in flow rates were not much but it was still a major improvent.
The existence of the pressure his will now exerted was also beneficial to his body, his cellular structure was now more compact and solid bringing him a great bonus to his defence.
That wasn’t all as the change caused his field started to exert itself propelling him into what could be called a state of enlightennt, nurous information rushed into his mind as his perception was rapidly strengthened, his will shining brightly as his previous accumulation was being used his mind seeking to sublimate his knowledge, previous experiences and techniques into the appearance of laws. Layton stayed still in the air his mind engrossed in the peculiar state, he seed to have forgotten the existence of zero who was no longer trapped as Lilith’s field had been taken down. It wasn’t that Layton was trying to bait the assassin but that he had indeed temporarily forgotten about her existence, although zero was busy running around during the last plane travel but her unique energy ‘mystery’ had also improved she was able to utilize it to temporarily block the perception of her existence, coating herself with her energy she blocked most if not all of the information about herself she could grasp leaving her in a peculiar state of non-existence, as she was rely acting on herself this ant it was difficult for anyone else to perceive her actions as strictly speaking it wasn’t an attack on the mind of others, this extre ans naturally took a lot of strain on her mind and energy as she couldn’t hold this state for long especially when she hadn’t comprehended the relevant laws to ensure her safety and ease in this state.
She stealthily ca out of the interlayer of space, cautiously advanced to the edge of Layton’s field and with the careful manipulation of space using the subtle trace of space laws she mastered she rged into Layton’s domain and shot towards the motionless wizard her dagger aiming towards his gullet. She moved rapidly and as her blade was about to touch his throat Layton’s shut eyes opened and zero could see a trace of playfulness in them, she didn’t have ti to think much as when she imdiately tried to escape to the interlayer of space she was suddenly set ablaze.
