The figure that had just appeared had a slight smug smile hanging on his lips for a second but in the next second his face rapidly changed, he let go of his dagger and he with his teammates quickly distanced themselves from Nicholas, He wasn’t sure what was wrong but he knew sothing had gone awry, although his attack took effect there was no sound of blood hitting the floor and his intuition was warning him that staying there any longer would lead to danger, sure enough, he was right, looking at Nicholas in front of him bathing in lightning, the tal from his dagger stripped into tiny pieces of tal the blood drawn from the blades separated and spinning around in conjunction with the tal forming a sort of weird circular pattern that seed to continuously collide and clash with the surroundings.
Although the rest of her teammates weren’t sure of what was going on Jessica as a well to do mage naturally noticed that the pattern around Nicholas was an array and from the looks of it the structure had created a sort of rudintary domain. “only domain can deal with a domain” Jessica couldn’t help but mutter under her breath as she saw the two areas clash and offset each other. Although the domain was hinged on Nicholas’s bio magnetic field and could only extend one centitre from his body it was a domain nonetheless and was undoubtedly enough to fully offset the effects the other domain had on him.
Nicholas was actually surprised when the dagger got through his defence and cut into his flesh although he was really suppressed due to not being able to influence or borrow the surrounding magnetic field due to the domain it was still no easy task for a blade to get through his defence especially when he was especially resistant to attacks caused by tal objects.
The array was erected mainly for the purpose of creating an external magnetic field so Nicholas could release him from his internal circulation, although the internal circulation made him free from most of the effects of the domain, although the domain couldn’t act on him directly it could act on the space and surroundings ensuring Nicholas was unable to fully exert his strength and agility.
The past few days since he had been awake Nicholas had been delving into the art of formation, although he was in the base he had access to a lot of materials covering array and formation arts coupled with the knowledge given by his profession and the peculiarity of his body that served as an array map his proficiency with creation, modification and use of arrays progressed at amazing speed.
With his thoughts he once again communicated with the magnetic field ford by the array around him and his dormant cells once again beca active echoing his illusory will allowing him to fully utilize the bonus brought by his profession since he couldn’t make use of the peculiarity of his talent he naturally had to resort to his profession, with a thought the array surrounding his body started to crackle with lightning, the change coupled with the urging of his will ensured his cells began to rapidly change and adapt, his will was created based on the urge to survive and this granted him the peculiar ability to ensure his cells as a whole and individuals adapted to external stimuli, that is evolving temporarily via the influence of his will.
Nicholas’s competitors naturally saw this movent and decide to activate their trump cards, bubbling life energy brought about by the warrior profession started igniting bringing Jason increased strength agility and intuition the otherwise invisible life energy coated the axe that the warrior grasped tightly in his palm as Jason and the axe seed to have lded into one entity as he exuded a terrifying and dangerous montum that seed to nearly turn into substance.
Jessica was naturally not far behind as she made so obscure hand movent and a weird wave escaped from her body, the nurous ornants and crystal on her body and robe cracked disintegrating into nurous fragnts, the fragnts then morphed becoming crimson butterflies a tell-tale sign of their connection to the fire elent, with each flap of their wings they faded and reappeared from sight. It seed it was just a blindfold thod made by using natural light and deception but it was actually the butterflies phasing in and out by turning into basic elental particles that abound in the area, this complex spell was a rudintary attempt a glance of the road ahead to legend that Jessica hoped to achieve.
As Jessica finished her preparations the assassin naturally once again disappeared but this ti Nicholas caught a glimpse of how this happened, although Nicholas was not fully aware of how the assassin’s stealth worked but for a brief mont he caught a clue of what constituted the phenonon the assassin seed to be able to use so techniques brought by his occupation to blend and fuse into the shadows, as to whether he was rely fusing into the shadows or travelling through a shadow fragnt or plane Nicholas was not aware. However with the clue that the assassin’s stealth was done through shadows Nicholas finally had a reasonable guess as to how he was injured earlier, the bright light that was created by the mage Jessica was not to ensure Jason escaped instead it was a sort of boost for the latent assassin, shadows and light are closely related and shadows travel almost at the sa speed of light the creation of a bright light source at that mont allowed the assassin to speed up his movent and attack, a dagger moving at such speed and skill would naturally easily pierce through Nicholas defence.

Although all these seed like a while the truth was it only took a few seconds and almost imdiately Nicholas dashed forward, his body was piercing through the air at high speeds and coupled with the electricity he was generating it created the illusion that he had turned into lightning itself.
