A few days after Lily gave birth, Ethan and Joanne received so unexpected guests in Atlantis.
It only took a glance for the young man to realize that the two young ladies were the cousins his Uncle, Vincent, talked about.
"Oh… now this one is certainly a looker." A young lady with shoulder-length hair approached Ethan and looked at him from head to foot.
She seed about the sa age as him, and her gaze filled with curiosity made Ethan think she might be a very social person because she seed too casual.
The young lady then circled him, which made Joanne hurriedly run behind her best friend, Princess Ramona, to hide behind her.
"Now, don't be rude, Zafira," another young lady, who seed to be in her early twenties, said with a smile. "We're eting Ethan for the first ti, so don't let him have a bad impression of you."
"Fine," Zafira said before shifting her attention to Joanne, who was hiding behind another girl.
"So, there you are, little cousin of mine," Zafira smirked as she tried to grab Joanne, who shrieked in fear as if she had seen a monster co to life.
But before her hands could latch on to the young lady who seed paralyzed in fear, Ethan appeared in front of her and blocked her path.
"Your na is Zafira, yes?" Ethan asked, shaking his cousin's hand. "The na is Ethan. Ethan Gremory. Since the two of you seed to have journeyed far to get here, why don't you have so refreshnts first?"
"Gremory?" Zafira frowned. "Why aren't you using our surna, Valentin?"
"Zafira, stop being rude, okay?" the young lady looked at Ethan with an apologetic expression on her face. "I'm sorry. My sister is a good person. She's just too pushy and straightforward at tis."
"Don't worry, I understand," Ethan replied while trying his best to keep the smile on his face from twitching. "By the way, I believe that I still don't know your na."
"I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself." The young lady did a curtsy like a proper noble would. "My na is Valeria Valentin. Twenty-one years old. My sister's na is Zafira Valentin, and she's seventeen this year."
"I see…" Ethan replied as he looked at Zafira, who lifted his shirt without any warning.
"Oh my~" Zafira gasped after seeing Ethan's well-toned body, which made even her sister, Valeria blush. "Cousin, you're good. I approve. I'll ask my father to schedule the marriage right away."
"Huh?!" Princess Ramona, Luna, and Chloe, who had co with Ethan to et his cousins, looked at Zafira in surprise.
"What marriage are you talking about?" Ethan asked.
"You don't know?" Zafira looked back at the young man, looking very confused. "Father told us you don't mind marrying your cousins. What was her na again? Uhh… Cow… Coweee?"
"It's Chloe," Ethan swiftly corrected her, when he realized who the young lady was talking about, before the said 'cousin' he was engaged to started throwing fireballs at the young lady, who was starting to get on her nerves.
"That's it!" Zafira nodded. "That's her na. At first, I was really against the idea of marrying my cousin. But now that I've seen you, I changed my mind. So, when can we get married?"
Ethan didn't expect his cousins would co to visit with this thought in mind.
In order to confirm whether Zafira was telling the truth, the young man glanced at Valeria, who seed more sensible than her sister.
"It's true," Valeria nodded. "Our father told us to et you and see if we found you to our liking. That way, the bloodline of the Valentin Family can remain pure."
Ethan had so many things he wanted to say to his uncle right now. Unfortunately, Vincent was currently in the Lands of Saraqael, which was too far for Ethan to file a complaint.
"I think there might have been so misunderstandings," Ethan said. "Chloe is indeed my cousin from my adopted family, but the two of us are not related by blood. So, marrying her is fine. But, I can't marry the two of you."
"Why?" Zafira tilted her head in confusion. "So royal families marry their cousins, you know? It's perfectly normal. Ethan, did you not hear that popular saying among Royal Families?"
"What popular saying?" Ethan asked back.
"A crown, a ring, your cousin," Zafira replied. "What else do you need for a royal wedding? Oh. Don't worry. I'll treat your wives like proper sisters of our family. Isn't that right, Joanne?"
"Eeek!" Joanne, who was usually strong-willed and bratty, pulled Princess Ramona away with her so that she could distance herself from Zafira.
Although he had only t the young lady for a few minutes, Ethan could vaguely understand why his sister was terrified of the young lady, who was eyeing Ethan as if he were so delicious candy.
"I'm sorry, but I already have ten wives," Ethan stated. "I don't plan on adding more."
"You already have ten, so what's the harm in adding two more?" Zafira smirked. "Having a dozen is better than ten, right?"
"No," Ethan stated. "Sorry, but I don't plan on marrying you and your sister."
"Tsk!" Zafira clicked her tongue before looking in the distance. "Dad, your plan failed. He doesn't plan to marry us!"
Vincent, who was hiding himself in one of the houses inside the city, face-pald as he had no intention of letting Ethan know his whereabouts.
He even used stealth magic to move undetected, which was one of his specialties.
But now that his own daughter had exposed him, and Ethan locked on his position, Vincent knew he could no longer hide from his nephew, who had a fed-up expression on his face.
"Well, it was worth a shot." Vincent finally made his appearance and flew toward his daughters.
"Uncle, please don't cause problems for ," Ethan said while pulling Chloe and Luna in his embrace. "See? My fiancées are very upset right now."
Chloe and Luna were staring daggers at Zafira, who looked back at them with a fearless gaze.
A glance was enough to tell anyone that she didn't mind taking on the two girls at the sa ti, which made Ethan feel as if he was going to have a headache
