After nearly half a day of flying non-stop, Ethan finally saw Brynhildr Academy in the distance.
Nicole's head rested on his back because she was still exhausted from what happened several hours ago.
Ethan felt sorry for her. She was supposed to be resting properly, not sleeping in such an uncomfortable position, especially after she had just lost her maidenhood.
However, he also understood that he needed to get back to the academy as soon as possible to talk to Professor Rinehart and confirm if what he saw had really happened or not.
When he arrived at the academy, the first thing Ethan did was land at the front door of Dud Manor.
He then carried Nicole inside and headed straight to his room, so she could rest.
Nicole stirred after she felt that she was being carried by soone.
However, after seeing that the one who was carrying her was Ethan, she once again closed her eyes to sleep.
"Sleep," Ethan said. "I'll be back soon."
The young man kissed Nicole's forehead before leaving the room in haste.
He was tired, but he would not allow himself to fall down at this mont until he confird whether his suspicions were right or wrong.
The young man was about to head to the Headmaster's Office when he caught sight of Professor Barret hurrying toward it as well.
Professor Barret noticed him as well, and he gestured for Ethan to hurry in his direction.
"It's good that you returned early, Ethan," Professor Barret said in a grave tone. "I want you to stay calm and listen to properly. Sothing happened in Soutshire."
The mont the Professor spoke their words, Ethan's heart sank because his worst fears were finally coming to life.
"L-Lily?" Ethan asked hoarsely.
Professor Barret nodded. "Your wife was taken away by Progenitors. We are still trying to get the full story from Seff, but he is too busy dealing with the aftermath of the invasion.
"For now, let's go to the Headmaster's Office. Rinehart is waiting for to arrive before he makes contact with Seff and his family again."
Ethan clenched his fist so hard that his knuckles started to make cracking sounds.
"It's okay, Professor," Ethan replied. "I already know what happened. Please excuse . I need to see soone."
The young man didn't even bother to wait for the Professor's reply and summoned his Wind Dancer.
He then headed to the Schwartz Manor to look for Emma as soon as possible.
When he arrived at his destination, he stopped a young lady who had just exited the front door of the Manor and asked if she could call Emma for him.
Since Ethan was very popular in the academy, the young lady happily agreed to his request and went to look for Emma.
It was just past noon, and most students had just returned from dining in the Great Dining Hall of the academy.
If Emma wasn't in Schwartz Manor, then Ethan would look for her in the library, where she held the post of Assistant Librarian.
A few minutes later, Emma appeared at the front door with a solemn expression on her face. "Ethan, let's talk sowhere else," Emma said as soon as she saw her Young Master.
Ethan nodded and took Emma's hand in his, leading her away from the manor.
The girl and a few of her friends, who were very curious as to why Ethan was looking for Emma, couldn't help but look in shock when they saw that Ethan was dragging the young lady away, and the latter wasn't resisting him.
The young man was aware that his actions might make things difficult for Emma when she returned to explain what happened later on.
However, he wasn't in the right state of mind to think about the consequences, especially with Lily's life was on the line.
After making sure that they were not being followed, Ethan looked for a tree and used his portable Tree House on it without a second thought.
When they were finally in the privacy of the living room, the young man explained why he had co to find her.
"I am already aware of what happened," Emma said after listening to Ethan's story. "Lady Catherine made contact and told the Protector Clans what happened in Soutshire.
"She also asked my mother to inform of what happened, so I could relay the ssage to you as soon as I saw you. Earlier, I was feeling troubled because I didn't know how to reach
you.
"I sent my Raven to deliver a ssage a day ago, and he still hadn't returned. I am terribly sorry that you personally experienced seeing Lily being kidnapped. It must have been terrible."
Ethan nodded. "Emma, I'm very sorry. I am about to do sothing very terrible to you."
Emma smiled and held the young man's with her own. "You're not going to do sothing terrible to , Young Master. I belong to you, and you may do to whatever you wish to do. "Also, we have already done it many tis in the Dream Realm. Although this will be my first ti doing it in reality, I have wanted to be one with you for a very long ti. However, for it to be more effective, we need the help of soone else."
Emma then glanced at Ethan's shadow, making the young man understand what she was thinking.
"Co out, Lilith," Emma said. "It's ti for us to fulfill our duties as Master's protectors."
Ethan's shadow moved, and soon, a beautiful Catkin appeared.
Lilith didn't hesitate to appear in her true form because she understood that ti was of the essence.
"Master, once we do this, the Progenitors will beco aware of your existence," Lilith stated. "Are you prepared for that?"
"Yes," Ethan answered. "But we will not do it here in the academy. I don't want to involve the students, as well as the staff, in my personal affairs."
"Master, there is no safe place where you can go once the Progenitors beco aware of your existence," Lilith stated.
"No." Emma shook her head. "There is one place where he can go."
Ethan nodded. "I will take the two of you to Atlantis. Even if the Progenitors co, we will be
able to handle them."
Ethan wasn't stupid.
He understood that once he took that step, there was a chance that the Progenitors would descend into their world.
Since that was the case, he would let them descend on his ho turf.
At least, he would have the help of Leviathan, who was also a Progenitor.
With the protection of the Progenitor and the defenses of the City of Atlantis serving as safety nets, Ethan was very eager to fight so Progenitors to test his full power.
He would use this opportunity to gauge if he had the ability to save his wife from the clutches of the Progenitors who belonged to the Plague Faction.
After hearing Ethan's plan, Emma and Lilith didn't hesitate to agree to follow him to Atlantis.
He then asked the two to look for Chloe and Samantha and to bring them to Dud Manor, so he could explain the situation to all of his lovers.
For the ti being, he planned to borrow Professor Rinehart's Flying Ship because rric and his crew were currently in Atlantis.
'I'll bring Princess Wilhelmina as well,' Ethan thought. 'She will be a great help in the battles
to co.'
Since his sister, Joanne, was still in the academy, Ethan decided to leave Enzo, and so of his subordinates behind.
He would only ask him for enough manpower to pilot a Flying Ship, so he could rest until they arrived at the Ancient City, which had survived the invasion of several Progenitors hundreds
of years ago.
