Chapter 576: Chapter 287: Flow of Ti (Part 2)
Therefore, whenever the ti flow changes, extra caution is needed, and it’s best to return slowly, giving oneself a transition period."
Ron felt a chill at this discovery, the accumulation of pollution exploding several tis over in an instant...
Yet, even so, there are countless explorers rushing in, showing just how tempting it is.
The main reason is that even with the change in ti flow, one’s lifespan does not rapidly diminish.
Just like Corina, Maxim, and Reynolds, a single successful exploration could set one far ahead of their peers.
The later notes continued to describe how Lance brought the mbrane-like phagocytic material into deeper layers of the Abyss, allowing it to absorb energy in the special environnt, gradually mutating.
"To solve so problems, I brought the ’mbrane-like phagocytic material’ into the Abyss Fourth Layer for transformation experints.
Under the pressure of such a twisted environnt, it gradually developed the ability to self-stabilize, maintaining its structural integrity while absorbing external energy.
But the true breakthrough ca from an accident.
When I mixed this refined ’mbrane-like phagocytic material’ with a native sli mold from the Abyss, instead of repelling each other as expected, they fused into an entirely new life form.
This is the prototype of the original ’Autophagic Sli Monster’..."
Ron quickly flipped through the pages detailing the traits of the Sli Monster and the experints, as he was already familiar with this content.
Subsequently, Lance’s next idea imdiately caught his eye:
"After the success of the Sli Monster project, I began to conceive the next goal—to create a true ’Active Blood Harmony dium’.
Unlike the Sli Monster, which can only passively show bloodline quality, this dium would actively participate in the bloodline modulation process, automatically correcting imbalances in energy flow, greatly improving the success rate and upper limit of modulation.
Theoretically, if this dium could be successfully created, it would completely change the way of bloodline modulation, enabling even inexperienced beginners to complete relatively complex modulation tasks.
More importantly, it may provide new possibilities for those bloodline fusions deed impossible.
I call it the ’Key of Harmony’, and the preliminary theoretical frawork has been completed, but there still are many technical challenges for its actual creation.
The primary issue is to find a suitable foundational life form, which must possess extrely high adaptability and self-reconstructive ability.
The ’King of Illusions’ suggested considering so special creatures from her realm as a foundation, as these creatures naturally have morphological variability and high adaptability..."
Flipping a few more pages, the tone of the notes subtly changed, becoming more cautious and somber.
"Eternal Calendar Year 13782, trouble has arrived.
Whenever I delve deeply into research, I always feel a cold gaze piercing through the dinsional barriers, directly into my soul.
I suspect it is ’Him’."
...
"The evil curse has taken effect, and I can feel my life energy slipping away bit by bit.
The dical wizards are helpless; even the most advanced healing magic can only slow the spread of the curse, unable to eradicate it completely.
According to the ’King of Illusions’, it is an ancient curse from the Otherworld, which gradually erodes the victim’s spiritual core until the soul is entirely dissipated.
The saddest part is that I clearly know how little ti I have left, yet so many of my research plans remain unfinished..."
The following pages recorded how Lance continued his research diligently in the final stages of his life, trying to complete as much work as possible within a limited ti.
He ticulously recorded further improvents to the Autophagic Sli Monster and a series of unfinished ideas.
"Eternal Calendar Year 14001.
Ti is running out, I must make a choice.
There are too many incomplete ideas, but energy is limited, so I decided to docunt the most important ones first:
1. The preliminary frawork of ’Soul Resonance’ technology
This technology could be the ultimate breakthrough in bloodline modulation, allowing the operator to directly influence the recipient’s soul structure, rather than being limited to physical changes in the bloodline.
2. The theoretical foundation of ’Consciousness Archiving’
This is a bold idea conceived with the ’King of Illusions’; we are attempting to create a thod to permanently preserve consciousness, possibly a key step in overcoming soul decay.
3. Refining the prototype of the ’Key of Harmony’
This is currently the most likely project to succeed; I have completed the basic research, and the breakthrough lies in finding, or creating, a foundational life form capable of carrying this reconciliation ability."
Ron could hardly conceal the astonishnt in his eyes.
Lance’s ideas were even more bold and grandiose than he anticipated, especially the "Consciousness Archiving" technology.
He actually intended to solve once and for all the problem of soul exhaustion that even the Witch King, or perhaps even the Demon Gods, might be helpless against.
The last few pages of the notes were Lance’s final testant, written at the end of his life.
"Eternal Calendar Year 14005.
The fla of life is about to extinguish; this will be my final record.
My research has reached the current feasible limit, but there are still so many unfinished ideas and dreams.
I hereby formally declare:
If anyone in the future can truly understand and inherit my research concepts, completing the ideas I could not finish, they may present this note in ’Fairyland’.
Requesting my most respected friend, the ’King of Illusions’, to receive my remaining virtual relics.
May the light of knowledge never be extinguished.
——Lance Hewitt on the last day of his life"
This final page’s handwriting was noticeably more tremulous and disordered, showing that the author’s physical condition was already extrely poor at the ti.
