Chapter 814: Chapter 362: Blood Prison World (Part 2)

This guy looks overly confident, maybe he’s a suitable target.

David felt a stir in his heart and decided to strike when the target let his guard down.

Night descended, and the camp was suffused with an oppressive and suffocating atmosphere.

While all the lower-level blood demons gathered by the bonfire to share tales of past glory and pride, the target blood demon walked alone toward the edge of the camp.

He seed sowhat dissatisfied with the current situation, feeling fed up with the upcoming new experints.

"You worthless humans indeed have no value!" he muttered under his breath, his disdain for the surroundings making him appear lonelier and angrier.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, David quietly approached, hidden in the darkness, moving silently like a ghost.

Just as the blood demon was about to turn around and head back to the camp, David struck suddenly!

An energy wave struck the native like lightning.

In the span between shock and fear, the blood demon couldn’t even react before being struck down, rendered unable to struggle anymore.

As the native’s life force rapidly faded, David felt a warm and fervent power coursing into his body.

He quickly placed his palm over the corpse to prevent others from noticing anything unusual.

After briefly absorbing the power, he imdiately used his disguise ability to transform into the blood demon.

He already possessed both the Source of Bloodline and the Chaos Bloodline, making disguise a simple task for him.

David stood silently beside the corpse, feeling the rush of newfound power surging within him.

He focused on the disguise’s effects, ensuring he had completely assimilated the blood demon’s appearance and aura.

In the surrounding darkness, the lower-level blood demons continued to revel by the bonfire, discussing past events and glory, seemingly oblivious to him.

"Now is the ti to delve deeper into the bloodline cultivation system here," David thought to himself.

He knew that to uncover the secrets of this world and the conspiracy behind the Blood Demon Ruler, he had to master all this.

He walked slowly toward the center of the camp, where so high-level blood demons discussed and conducted important experints.

David feigned confidence, integrating himself into this new role and moving closer to those higher-level blood demons.

In front of these higher beings, he had to show respect and submission to gather more information.

"We need to find more usable humans quickly."

A high-tier blood demon draped in a black cloak, exuding a powerful aura, said.

"The ruler hopes to complete the next experint soon to enhance the power of our entire race."

"I heard the new ritual will involve ancient runes and forbidden magic," another seasoned and cunning alchemist chid in.

"Through these, we can refine even stronger abilities! But be careful, these spells are very dangerous and could have unpredictable consequences if used incorrectly."

David’s heart jolted; this was exactly the information he needed.

"I need to get closer to them," he decided, "and find an opportunity to gather more details."

As ti passed, he gradually integrated into the camp.

In the following days, he used his disguise to gradually earn so trust and began participating in so low-level experints.

During this process, he also started learning the basics of the cultivation system, including how to use his own power, how to integrate with the external environnt for energy absorption, and so basic combat skills.

Through continuous observation and learning, David discovered that the bloodline cultivation system was divided into several stages:

The foundational stage is a step that all novices entering the cultivation path need to go through.

It mainly helps apprentices activate their potential, enhancing their strength by absorbing the energy in their surroundings.

At this stage, most human slaves were forced to serve as test subjects, constantly tortured in hopes of revealing their potential.

Upon reaching a certain level of strength, they could undergo more complex and dangerous rituals, rging their life force with external forces.

This ant they could absorb the power of other creatures, thereby enhancing their own abilities.

This is also why many higher-level beings were willing to undertake experints.

The transcendence stage is a legendary realm where bloodlines can fully control internal and external energy, achieving self-transcendence.

Once successful, they could acquire unimaginable new abilities, a realm the ruler aspired to reach, though it was extrely rare and dangerous.

As David mastered more of this knowledge, he felt his Chaos Bloodline awakening within him daily.

If he continued his in-depth research, his abilities might far surpass any existence on this land, including the terrifying and powerful ruler.

While he was engrossed in his study, an unexpected opportunity arose for him to participate in a small experint.

In a dim, damp little room, a group of lower-level blood demons was discussing a new round of experints about to be carried out.

They were preparing to select several human slaves for a new fusion ritual.

"We must ensure this round is successfully completed,"

The group leader coldly said, "As long as we succeed, we can directly make a comndation to the ruler! This is a great opportunity to elevate our status!"

Seeing this, David realized it was a golden opportunity.

If he could learn more about the ruler and their plans through this process, it would greatly benefit his goals.

He decided to feign active participation, searching for breakthroughs while waiting for the right ti to strike, gather information, and uncover secrets.

As ti passed, the group gradually entered a state of preparation.

David stood in the shadows of the laboratory, knowing the impending fusion ritual was not only an opportunity to gather information.

He intended to use this mont to obtain more information about the ruler and the blood demon world.

The group mbers began to busy themselves, and a pungent and peculiar atmosphere filled the room.

They tied several barely breathing human slaves to an ancient altar.

The slaves, faces filled with fear and despair, had no ans of resistance, as they were surrounded by powerful blood demons, leaving them with nowhere to escape.

"Begin the preparations."

The group leader ordered in a low, icy voice, quickly lighting a circle of candles around the altar.

The flas danced, starkly contrasting the dark and subdued environnt, as if cheering for the impending ritual.

David took this ti to observe every detail, noticing that the candle flas seed to resonate with the ancient runes on the altar, while a large array nearby shimred with a faint glow.

These were essential elents for conducting the fusion ritual.

"We need to quickly gather everything potential from within them," said a high-tier blood demon overseeing the experint, looking at the slaves with a cold and sowhat expectant gaze.

"As long as we successfully extract the latent power within them, we’ll gain imnse power!"

David’s heart tightened; he knew this was not only an injustice to the slaves’ bodies and souls but also a massive conspiracy interwoven with despair and pain.

Therefore, he began contemplating how he could extricate himself from this experint while gaining useful information.

"I need to take part in this process," David suddenly spoke up, in a group of lower-level blood demons, who looked on in surprise and curiosity while he feigned a respectful and eager desire to prove himself.

"I possess so special ability that can help enhance the ritual’s effects!"

The group leader was initially surprised but quickly showed interest,

"You have a special ability? Very well, you can give it a try, but if you fail, I’ll make sure you beco one of these pitiful wretches."

David began to deeply engage in the preparations, intentionally or unintentionally scanning his surroundings.

As the ritual was about to comnce, the high-tier blood demons focused their attention, pleased with his displayed enthusiasm.

And he quietly observed how these advanced beings operated their powers and the dark magic they cast upon the slaves.
