Chapter 232: Chapter 131: The Contract Book That Must Never Be Broken! (Part 2)
Bronco nodded slightly, watching the Guardian Knight turn and leave.
The room returned to silence, with only the faint crackling of the flas in the fireplace.
Bronco knew this mont was not just a contest between the Northern Lands and the Silver Moon Royal Family, but also a crucial mont to consolidate royal power and demonstrate authority.
As night fell, the Northern Lands were once again covered in thick snow, and a clandestine battle hidden in the wind and snow was about to unfold.
On this silent earth, every life fought for its destiny, and every decision would determine the future course of events.
...
At the sa ti.
In the underground prison of Frost Wolf Ridge.
David sat on a wooden chair in the prison, his expression calm.
Before him knelt a knight covered in scars.
"Speak, who have you allied with?" David asked softly.
This knight was an envoy of the Silver Moon Kingdom.
Upon learning of this man’s identity, David had already set up his plan.
Though the knight’s strength was rely Tier Three, he was adept at hiding, but never imagined he had long been targeted by a wizard.
Finally, after leaving a lord’s castle, Liya led a Tier Five Ghost Wolf Beast in secret to successfully capture and bring him back.
The knight closed his eyes, silent, having prepared for sacrifice ever since accepting the assignnt.
Seeing the knight unmoved, David frowned slightly but quickly regained composure, knowing regular interrogation thods were futile.
He sighed gently, stood up, and walked to the other side of the prison, retrieving a bottle of dark potion from a hidden compartnt.
"Did you know?" he said slowly, "In this world, there are things more terrifying than death."
He placed the potion on the table, his eyes sharply fixed on the knight.
The knight remained with his eyes shut, unmoved.
"This is a special secret dicine," David continued, "It brings unending pain, yet leaves consciousness exceptionally clear. Drinking it, you’ll beg for death, but death will not co."
His words were filled with coldness and threat, casting a sinister atmosphere over the entire prison.
Silence continued to spread, but the tension in the air only grew more intense.
Finally, the knight slightly opened his eyes, glancing at the bottle of black potion, his gaze flickering, but still said nothing.
"You have a choice," David stepped closer, "Tell
who you have allied with, and I can spare you, otherwise..."
Before finishing his sentence, he took up the potion, stepping closer to the knight.
The knight saw the black liquid swirling slightly in the bottle, his voice hoarse and low, "Don’t waste your effort, I won’t talk..."
David said nothing more, directly pouring the secret dicine into the knight’s mouth.
He ant every word; this potion, devised by Ye Zi using so necromantic energy-infused magic plants, was real.
The necromantic energy within aided necromancers in cultivation.
But should an ordinary person drink it, they would be corroded by necromantic energy, finding life worse than death, with death itself a luxury.
The knight’s body began to convulse violently, the pain in his eyes becoming more evident.
His consciousness was clear, yet he was devoured by endless pain, each inch of skin felt like it burned with invisible flas.
He gritted his teeth, trying to endure, but couldn’t suppress the low, agonizing groans from his throat.
David watched coldly, without a trace of pity.
This knight was clearly well-trained, but David knew no matter how strong the will, such tornt could not be endured indefinitely.
"You still have a chance," David said coldly, "Speak up, and I can end your suffering right away."
The knight barely opened his bloodshot eyes, looking at David with pain and despair interwoven in his expression.
He knew he could no longer hold out, this inhuman torture had exceeded his limits.
"I will talk..." he finally whispered, "I’ll tell you everything..."
At these words, a hint of a satisfied smile appeared on David’s face, as he activated the Snow Demon Spirit to control the necromantic energy within the knight, "Good."
He said, "Tell , who have you allied with?"
Over ti, the knight haltingly revealed information about the complex interwoven interpersonal relations and secret alliances among the various lords.
Though his voice was sotis weak and intermittent, each word brought important and valuable information.
When the last na slipped from his lips, the knight was completely exhausted, unable to support himself any longer.
He collapsed onto the ground, like a broken puppet, without any remaining capacity for resistance.
After a long ti, he barely raised his head, speaking in a nearly inaudible voice, "Now...end my suffering..."
David looked down at the knight, placing a hand on his forehead, then spiritual power surged directly into the knight’s spiritual world, drawing out a wisp of his soul.
anwhile, he activated his Spirit Contract Ability, attempting to transform this wisp of soul into a Spiritual Mark.
But as he proceeded, the knight began to emit low roars of pain, and the soul began to gradually dissipate.
With the soul’s dissipation, the light in the knight’s eyes faded, his body collapsing lifelessly to the ground.
