Chapter 554: Chapter 554: Level 6 Broodmother

Albert stood within the Space Fortress, his gaze penetrating the layers of armor and space, landing on the dark heart in the distance.

His figure appeared so insignificant against the backdrop of this cosmic scale.

Despite the vast distance, Albert already sensed so aspects of the Nest’s condition.

His Spiritual Power transford into countless invisible, intangible tendrils, cautiously reaching across the despairing void distance to probe the writhing Level 6 Nest in the distance.

In Albert’s perception, the empty void background began to fade, replaced by a colossal outline composed of countless flowing, pulsating energy lines.

Nurous energy channels pulsed like veins within the Nest, each pulse causing a tidal-like wave in the nurous thick energy veins inside the Nest.

This network of veins pervaded the interior of the Nest, transporting an incalculable amount of chaotic energy, a mix of bioenergetic and void characteristics, whose total made Albert secretly astonished.

He could sense the abyss-like, unfathomable collective will inside the Nest, the Nest’s will.

It was cold, greedy, pure, like a gigantic information processing center, ruling everything within the Nest.

Albert could also vaguely sense the countless life light points within the Nest, representing nurous Insect Race units.

Most of these light points were dim, like background noise, but interspersed were so exceedingly bright, torch-like presences.

Those must be the Nest’s high-level Guardians or special units; the plentifulness of these powerful individual energy reactions also confird the robustness of the Nest’s internal defenses.

However, when he attempted to delve deeper to probe more specific information, he encountered trendous resistance.

Distance beca an insurmountable chasm.

His Spiritual Power, having crossed such imnse space, had beco extrely thin and fragile.

Moreover, during the probe, he had to conceal the movents of his Spiritual Power as much as possible, which itself caused a further depletion of his Spiritual Power.

The thick, perpetually twisting biotic shell on the Nest’s surface acted like a powerful information filter and Energy Absorption layer, blocking, distorting, and even devouring most of his in-depth probes.

It’s like trying to observe through a thick, smudged frosted glass, only seeing flickering shadows, without any clear details.

For safety’s sake, the Observer had chosen an overly conservative jump distance.

Although it ensured stealth, it also severely limited the effectiveness of his reconnaissance thods.

The Nest’s own bioenergetic field and physical structure ford a natural and extrely potent shield against long-range detection.

Albert knew that only by getting closer could he obtain more information.

The Space Fortress certainly could not get too close, and ordinary reconnaissance instrunts and thods could not be used recklessly.

Whether ordinary reconnaissance thods could obtain effective information was one issue; how to conduct reconnaissance without being detected was another challenge.

Albert’s form gradually turned transparent, dissipating; in an instant, he appeared outside the Space Fortress, in the void.

His thin form transford into a speck of dust on a cosmic scale, drifting toward the Level 6 Nest, emanating endless malevolence and unknowns.

Albert flew in the void, seemingly slow, but actually incredibly fast.

This was a thod of flight involving rules of higher dinsions, as if he had fused into the void itself, leaving no spatial ripples even at high speeds.

He completely concealed his presence, as if erasing himself from the world; no life could perceive his existence.

As the distance shortened, the oppressive feeling from the Level 6 Nest grew exponentially.

At first, it was just a vague shadow at the end of his sight.

Gradually, it began to occupy his entire perceptual field.

It was no longer a distant shadow but transford into a desolate wall occupying the entire view, seemingly pressing forward.

Albert hovered in the void still a considerable distance from the Nest’s surface, a distance enough to avoid triggering any potential contact-based defense chanisms, yet close enough for him to discern many details with his extraordinary Spiritual Power.

He saw the terrifying structure on the Nest’s surface, undulating like a living mountain, covered in dark chitinous carapace. The carapace was not dead; it slowly wriggled and grew, its surface covered with enormous, crater-like holes, occasionally spewing out purple bioaerosol or inhaling the sparsely surrounding interstellar dust.

So areas grew large, coral-like biological crystal clusters, glowing with ominous light, possibly functioning as energy collection or emission organs.

In other areas, there lay a viscous, asphalt-like active microbial mat, within which countless tiny Insect Race units seed to hatch and wriggle.

He could even see so seemingly small but actually massive Insect Race units patrolling the Nest’s surface or crawling in and out of those holes, akin to parasites on the skin of a giant beast.

Albert observed all this from quite a distance, yet he could still clearly see those insects.

The entire Level 6 Nest was far larger than ordinary stellar bodies; even from this angle, the insects that were visible were nearly the size of Insect Race units that would almost tower into the clouds on a regular Plane.

The Nest’s surface was shrouded in a powerful, almost tangible bioenergetic field. This force field not only provided imnse physical defense but also acted as a gargantuan life radar, continuously scanning the surrounding space.

Any hostile or anomalous energy wave intrusion could trigger an alert instantly.

Albert suppressed his life aura and spiritual fluctuations to the point of near obliteration, blending perfectly into the noise background of the force field like cold cosmic dust.

At this distance, the passively sensed information beca much clearer.

He heard the sound of energy surging beneath the shell, like thousands of horses galloping.

Chaotic and magnificent bioenergy and void energy mixed, running at high speed through thick energy ridians.

He faintly saw the outline of densely packed chamber structures near the surface area inside, like a honeycomb, sensing the life reactions of countless Insect Race units active within.

At this distance, it was enough for Albert to collect very detailed information, gaining insights into various aspects of the Void Insect Race.

This was his purpose of being here; Albert’s formidable Spiritual Power unfolded in an extrely subtle manner, quietly absorbing all the information here.
