Chapter 539: Chapter 539: Feeding

After the World Tree Seed awakened, its internal consciousness has remained in a rather blank state, unable to express any complex ideas.

However, when Duke fed it the Heart of the Insect Race, he could still clearly feel the World Tree Seed’s consciousness being highly active, conveying an emotion of joy.

All six Hearts of the Insect Race were fed to the World Tree Seed, yet there were still no signs of sprouting.

It was evident that this amount of Life Energy was still too little for it, not enough to reach the stage of sprouting.

In fact, the Life Energy contained in a Level 1 Heart of the Insect Race is already quite imnse, not to ntion a total of six pieces.

It can only be said that the World Tree Seed indeed is a major consur of energy, ordinary resources simply cannot satisfy its needs.

After Duke fed all six Hearts of the Insect Race to the World Tree Seed, he checked on the state of the Spring of Life, which seed even better than before.

The original liquid in the Crystal base did not seem to diminish, but instead appeared to have increased slightly.

This was also the effect of the World Tree Seed, creating a mutually promoting effect with the Spring of Life.

Since the awakening of the seed, the developnt speed of the Light God Court has been astonishing.

The most direct change is in the area of the Divine Court Space, which expanded significantly again, from over a thousand square kiloters to almost two thousand square kiloters.

Moreover, this expansion is not a re increase in space, the entire texture of the space beca more substantial and stable.

The concentration of Life Energy flowing through the air increased several tis over.

In areas where Life Energy is particularly rich, this energy is no longer an ethereal mist but has nearly condensed into a light green, faintly glowing fog, bringing comfort to the mind and body as if the soul is being cleansed with every breath.

Especially near the Spring of Life, the energy’s concentration reached an extre, the light of the spring water turned into a substantial erald-green pillar piercing the heavens of the Divine Court, within which countless tiny life runes seed to flicker in and out of existence.

All the vegetation underwent a frenzy of growth and mutation, the towering ancient trees beca even more robust, with natural patterns containing the philosophy of life erging on their bark, and branches beginning to bear enticingly fragrant, weakly energized erald fruits.

The grass and shrubs on the ground evolved into shapes as if carved from jasper, with leaves plump and exuding the sheen of life.

More unprecedented strange flowers and grasses broke through the soil, their petals as transparent as crystal, stans pulsating with tiny light spots, emitting various, equally exhilarating fragrances.

The newly born animals in the forest also underwent significant changes.

Their physiques appeared more balanced and elegant, their fur or scale armor beca more radiant.

More importantly, their eyes lost so of their ignorance, gaining more intelligence.

So small deer-like creatures dared to curiously approach Duke, rather than panic and flee as before, the fledgling birds’ calls seed to carry a simple lody.

They instinctively circled the outer area of the Spring of Life, absorbing the escaping energy, but still dared not approach the core of the spring, maintaining an innate reverence for the area where the Spring of Life resided.

As the core of the entire Divine Court, the scale of the Spring of Life also expanded several tis, its water becoming clearer, its emitted erald-green light carrying a hint of divine gold.

And the World Tree Seed floating deep within the spring eye also underwent so changes.

Its volu slightly expanded, becoming a circle larger than before, entirely like the finest erald, crystal clear, with the speed of the inner halo’s rotation accelerating, as if life in liquid form was surging within.

The mysterious patterns on the surface of the seed completely illuminated, becoming more complex and profound, vaguely forming a miniaturized, ever-evolving life map.

Duke could clearly feel that the once dim consciousness inside the seed beca more solid and active after absorbing the massive Life Energy from the six Hearts of the Insect Race.

What it conveyed was no longer just simple joy, but a complex emotion intertwined with satisfaction and desire, as if an infant rapidly growing with an insatiable need for nutrition.

It absorbed energy at a faster pace, becoming ever more closely connected to the entire Light God Court, as if it had beco the true pulsating heart of this space.

Duke carefully observed all this, even taking out parchnt to ticulously record these details for future reference.

However, he would not take these materials out, to prevent any leakage, keeping everything stored in the courtyard within the Light God Court.

This docuntation was extrely precious, for no one else in the Wizard Plane had likely cultivated a World Tree, making it a unique and invaluable record.

Duke did not linger long here, leaving the Light God Court after completing these observations and records, returning to his residence.

Since it was located in the camp, disappearing for too long might draw so attention, it was better to be cautious.

Even though soone might notice his disappearance and reappearance, they wouldn’t ask too many questions, as so thods for a Level 1 Crystalized Mage were quite normal and generally would not provoke any inquiry.

Back in his courtyard room, everything was as usual, incredibly quiet.

The two Sea Race Guards at the door stood tall, waiting for orders at any ti.

Before receiving new orders, they were to stay at the seabed temporarily, until receiving directives for task completion from above.

At present, wars with the Void Insect Race had comnced across various aquatic regions of the Wizard Plane, unlikely to conclude soon.

Duke was unclear whether his mission would end once the Void Insect Race around this sea area was resolved, or if he would need to proceed to other places afterward.

For him, participating in such actions more frequently was naturally better, allowing him to acquire Hearts of the Insect Race and accelerate the growth progress of the World Tree Seed.

It was foreseeable that the upcoming period would likely be spent battling in the sea, with Duke planning to make so preparations.

During his ti at the seabed, he also had so thoughts.

In this vast and unfamiliar deep-sea battlefield, the importance of information sotis surpassed that of pure force.

A thought in his mind gradually beca clearer, perhaps the ocean itself could provide so information.

The ocean is not lifeless, currents are its lifeblood, flowing incessantly from one sea region to another.

During their long journey, these waters witness countless events: the migration of the Insect Race, patrols of the Sea Race, residual vibrations after energy bursts, even inadvertent biological pheromones or Spirit imprints left behind...
