Chapter 438: Chapter 438: Ochevia

Any Level 4 Life requires a vast amount of resources to accumulate, plus sufficient effort and the indispensable luck.

The developnt ti of the Devourer Plane is not long enough, and its foundation is not deep enough, the number of Level 4 powerhouses is far less than the Wizard Plane.

For them, the fall of an Apostle is not a particularly painful cost.

But if a Saint were to fall, it would be an unbearable cost for the entire Devourer Plane.

The Wizard Plane’s war against the Devourer Plane has been ongoing, yet no Saints have shown up or taken action.

They are well aware that once Saints join the war, it will escalate the intensity of the conflict by countless levels, which is sothing the Devourer Plane cannot bear.

They lack the capital to go head-to-head with the Wizard Plane, and the Saints will not act easily.

However, surprisingly, in the battle of the Sobbing Blood Plain, there was actually a Saint among the Devourer Plane’s Native Alliance Army, who decisively ca forward during those Apostles’ crisis and saved them.

The three Destroyer warships, their mighty hulls seed non-existent, the ships began to emit strains from within as if squeezed by an invisible giant force from all directions, rapidly deforming and twisting, then turning into two gigantic fireballs in an earth-shattering explosion.

The fierce three-headed ape let out three shrill cries, all three heads exploding simultaneously, the massive body crashing down as if every bit of life force was drained, quickly withering and eroding.

The Saint’s strike instantly annihilated several Level 3 Combat Powers.

In that mont, the battlefield fell into silence again.

The United Legion indeed did not expect the enemy’s Saint to act so early, disrupting their plans.

Originally, they thought only after pushing into the central region of the Buren Continent and the Native Alliance Army falling into the final desperation would this level of individuals step in.

Unexpectedly, right at the beginning of the invasion into the central region of the Buren Continent, the enemy’s Saint-level power had already been deployed.

The United Legion responded swiftly, imdiately ordering the mass withdrawal of the Slave Creature Legion.

These ordinary Slave Creature Legions are aningless in front of the Level 4 Life, no amount of numbers can create a qualitative change.

The gap in power and life level is too vast, beyond the point where re numbers can alter it.

Duke and the others retreated imdiately, all wizard squads withdrew first, followed by the orderly withdrawal of the Slave Creature Legion.

The enemy’s Saint didn’t target these Level 3 wizards or slave creatures, only destroying three Destroyer warships and two Level 3 slave creatures.

With one strike, the Saint rendered the world silent.

That devastating power transcended common sense, nearly becoming the rules themselves, chilling the hearts of all witnesses.

The United Legion’s offensive ca to a halt, as if its giant war machinery had been pressed to a pause button.

Yet, the Wizard Plane has never relied solely on a sea of slaves to traverse countless planes.

This Saint-level Awakened, nad Mara’gon, is known within the Legion as the Rock Saint, symbolizing his unyielding will and unmovable force.

Mara’gon hovered in the air, exuding pressure everywhere, preparing further actions to stabilize the battle line when a cold and calm voice, as if cutting through spatial barriers, serenely echoed above the battlefield.

"The power of the rules is admirable. Didn’t expect to witness the elegance of a native Saint here firsthand."

With the words, the space at the rear of the United Legion rippled like water, and a slim and tall figure stepped out as if walking from a painting.

This person is Osivia, the highest leader from the Thorn Holy Tower, one of the Four Great Wizard Organizations on the West Coast participating in this Plane War.

She wore a splendid wizard robe seemingly woven from living thorns and dark silver tal, the spikes on the robe slowly wriggling, shimring with mysterious rune glimrs.

Osivia’s face was delicate yet expressionless, her deep eyes seed to swirl with countless data streams and scenes of stars being born and dying.

Her appearance did not bring an oppressive destruction; instead, an extre sense of rationality and order spread, calming and organizing the turbulent energy around her.

Osivia hovered at a level with Mara’gon, facing each other from afar.

"Invaders, your greed will eventually lead to destruction." Mara’gon’s voice was low and majestic, like a rumbling from deep within the earth, carrying unavoidable authority.

The earth-colored radiance around him beca more substantial, seemingly connecting with the entire Sobbing Blood Plain beneath him.

Osivia’s expression remained unchanged, her voice still cold and steady:

"Destruction or rebirth depends on choices. Lord Mara’gon, your power is respectable, but you should be aware that individual might cannot alter the disparity between civilizations. The warships you destroyed were not an unbearable loss for the United Legion. Moreover, what we possess goes far beyond that."

Mara’gon fell silent for a mont, knowing full well the truth in her words.

The Wizard Civilization’s invasion is comprehensive, and the Sobbing Blood Plain is but a corner of it.

His actions here were already out of necessity.

"This place is our holand. There’s no choice but to fight to the death." Mara’gon’s response was brief and resolute.

Osivia slightly nodded, seemingly already anticipating this answer: "I understand your position. However, the escalation of full-scale war will incur unmanageable costs."

Her words were cold and direct, piercing through to the harshest reality.

Mara’gon intervening in the lower-tier battlefield had already broken a certain implicit agreent.

If full-scale conflict between Level 4 powerhouses erupts, the scope and destructive power will far exceed imagination, and the Devourer Plane, which is weaker in foundation, absolutely cannot afford such a cost.

"You and I clashing here, the aftermath could turn everything on this plain below us, including those you strive to protect, those people, those lands, all to dust." Osivia’s eyes swept over the battered earth below.

Osivia’s logic is simple, they hail from the Wizard Plane, and this area is on the Devourer Plane.

Once Level 4 powerhouses fully engage, it will surely cause imnse devastation to this plane.

In other words, since this isn’t their ho, its destruction does not concern them.

However, for Mara’gon and the natives, it’s different; this is their holand for survival.

Mara’gon is well aware that when Level 4 and above individuals strike, the consequences can easily devastate continents.

They fight for the Devourer Plane, for their holand, if the holand is destroyed then all their efforts hold no aning.

For the Wizard Plane, their goal isn’t to destroy this plane but to conquer it and seize resources.
