Chapter 178: Chapter 178: Return to the Wizard Plane
Due to the chaos caused by these beastn, bases across the Wilderness Continent frequently suffer harassnt and attacks.
The impact of these harassnts and attacks is generally not significant, but they do cause great annoyance to the Black Sail wizards.
Duke decided to return to the Wizard Plane, considering the increasingly unstable situation surrounding him.
[Physique: 17.8]
[Strength: 18.1]
[Agility: 17.2]
[Spirit: 46.6]
[Free attribute points: 5]
He glanced at his attribute panel. By adding these five free attribute points, his spiritual power could exceed fifty points.
Duke planned to prepare for matters related to being promoted to an Official Wizard upon his return. Once promoted, his strength would make a qualitative leap.
He only hoped to be promoted to an Official Wizard before this war ended, so he could return to the Beastman Plane and earn more contribution points.
Currently, Duke is just a Wizard Apprentice, so he can participate in very few matters, and the contributions he can earn are extrely limited.
After reporting his intention to return to Lucas, he soon got approval.
In fact, there aren’t many Wizard Apprentices left on the Beastman Plane now. Most were only there to broaden their horizons and expand their experiences.
Two days later.
Duke boarded an airship returning to the Space Fortress and gradually left the Beastman Plane.
When he turned his head, he could still see the three continents of the Beastman Plane as they were when he arrived.
The only difference is that monuntal changes had already occurred inside these three continents.
Duke once again passed through the dinsional rift, clearly noticing that the width of the rift had shrunk sowhat.
Although wizards continuously maintained the expansion of the rift, it was still slowly healing and repairing.
Standing outside the window of the space airship, Duke felt awe as he looked at the distant Space Fortress.
The Space Fortress was like a cosmic beast, crouching in the void, silent.
The process of returning to the Space Fortress had changed sowhat from when he arrived. Duke first entered a disinfecting room where his body underwent thorough sterilization, and then he entered a small room for inspection.
Duke felt sothing penetrate his body; it was checking the internal situation of his body.
This step is critical, and its primary aim is to inspect those returning from the Beastman Plane to see if their bodies or surfaces carry any beastman spores.
Beastman spores are the seeds of Green-skinned Orcs and have the potential to develop into a new Green-skinned Orc.
If a beastman spore were to enter the Wizard Plane, it could result in the ergence of a large number of Green-skinned Orcs over ti.
This race reproduces rapidly, and the spores are so tiny that they are difficult to completely clean out.
Therefore, Black Sail implented strict checks in every aspect from the very beginning to prevent anyone from bringing beastman spores back to the Wizard Plane.
Duke’s Space Ring was also inspected, and the process was swift, aiming to detect any beastman spores.
Furthermore, Black Sail requires wizards to self-check, ensuring no beastman spores are brought back to the Wizard Plane.
If soone intentionally transports beastman spores back to the Wizard Plane, they would be thoroughly investigated and punished accordingly.
Having gone through this series of inspections, Duke went to the Black Sail Military Supply Departnt to settle his contribution points.
This ti, he accrued a total of one thousand three hundred fifty-two contribution points, quite a significant amount for a Wizard Apprentice.
Duke also gained access to view the Black Sail Treasure Vault, which unlocks after accumulating one hundred contribution points.
He can now browse items of Level 1 and below, including magic potions, casting materials, witchcraft artifacts, and, of course, knowledge.
The Black Sail Treasure Vault contains research outcos from various fields, accumulated over many years by Black Sail, from outstanding wizards across the board.
Duke is currently interested in the Water of Asu, a magic potion for promotion to Official Wizard, priced at one hundred contribution points per vial.
On the market, the price for one vial of Water of Asu is five thousand Level 1 Magic Stones, equating one contribution point to fifty magic stones.
But in reality, no one would convert their contribution points to magic stones.
Duke didn’t rush to redeem anything but planned to consider his options after returning to the Wizard Plane.
Both the Space Fortress and Wizard Plane house a Black Sail Treasure Vault where contribution points can also be exchanged.
After completing so formalities, Duke boarded a space airship, using space travel to return to the Wizard Plane.
Through the huge landing window of the space airship, the blue planet of the Wizard Plane grew closer, and upon nearing it, he could vaguely hear the planet’s rotation sounding akin to a heartbeat.
Duke initially thought the space airship would enter the planet of the Wizard Plane and dock in a specific area.
Unexpectedly, the airship executed another space jump, appearing aboard the Elizabeth.
Once back on the Elizabeth, Duke felt a sense of relief.
This relief wasn’t rely psychological but a real sensation; he had been suppressing the plane’s will in the Beastman Plane, but upon returning to the Wizard Plane, he felt secure from its presence.
Duke didn’t linger on the Elizabeth long; generally, Wizard Apprentices aren’t allowed to stay there, and only Black Sail’s Official Wizards can operate there.
He took a small boat back to Academy Island, observing the bustling Wizard Apprentices all around once again, feeling rather nostalgic.
While at the Space Fortress, Duke had already applied his five free attribute points to his spiritual power, which now stands at 51.6, far surpassing those around him.
As soon as he stepped on Academy Island, he noticed nurous ssages from the Wizard’s Mark, mostly from Vivian and Simon’s group.
While on the Beastman Plane, the Wizard’s Mark couldn’t be used; it wasn’t until the conquest of the Wilderness Continent and the construction of the Mark Tower that it could function normally.
Duke replied to each ssage, informing them that he had returned to the Wizard Plane safely.
"Those beastn are quite valuable; Black Sail has already started selling beastman slaves to other wizard organizations," Vivian said.
"That fast?" Duke was a bit surprised; the war on the Beastman Plane wasn’t even over, yet Black Sail was already selling beastman slaves.
Vivian replied, "That’s right, beastn make excellent slave biological species, reproducing fast, capable of learning quickly, strong in battle, making them practically perfect slave creatures for wizards..."
Although Green-skinned Orcs aren’t permitted in the Wizard Plane, it doesn’t hinder Black Sail from selling these slave creatures.
