Lynch’s gaze suddenly beca as sharp as a blade.

Faced with this sudden assault, the ball of yarn on the shoulder of the Abyss Scholar, Saros, violently squird, and the core’s ghostly light surged. Countless slender tentacles frantically danced, attempting to unfold his Abyss Domain filled with chaotic whispers and distorted power, constructing an invisible Defense Barrier around the man.

However, his Abyss Power, which could erode the mind of an ordinary Domain Wizard, disintegrated instantly like thin ice exposed under blazing sunlight upon touching Lynch’s silently spreading Space Domain, without even being able to stir a ripple, vanishing without a trace!

The ghostly light at Saros’ core flickered intensely, conveying imnse horror. Without hesitation, he detached from the man’s shoulder, the ball of yarn-like entity rapidly retreating, trying to create distance.

At the very mont he disengaged, the space around the man twisted and folded in ways naked eyes could barely detect. In the next instant, the masked, upright figure vanished into thin air, reappearing before Lynch as if pulled by invisible threads.

"Impudent! Release my host body!"

Saros emitted a sharp psychic roar that directly pierced into the mind, filled with exasperation and furious rage.

This body, which he had spent countless efforts to find as a perfect vessel, not only matched his attributes highly but also had been nurtured and transford with resources accumulated over the years. Even the original soul consciousness had been completely erased by him, waiting for the final fusion to free himself from the chaotic Abyssal form, to reshape his body!

Seeing years of hard work being effortlessly taken by Lynch, how could he resign himself?

Roaring in rage, he frantically attempted to regain control through the established Spiritual Link with the body.

However,

the body, which previously showed signs of partial fusion and responded swiftly, now felt like it had sunk to the deepest ocean floor. No matter how he exerted his spiritual power, there was no response, as if the link had been entirely isolated and severed by a higher level of power.

Lynch ignored Saros’ roars, focusing all his attention on the motionless body before him. He took a deep breath, seemingly trying to suppress the unease surging in his chest, a rare hint of tension showing on his always calm face.

He slowly raised his hand, his fingertips touching the cold and lifeless white mask. After a mont’s pause, he gently removed it.

The mask fell, revealing a familiar yet sowhat unfamiliar rigid face in the air. Brown hair, resolute facial lines, it was his one-ti companion, who had since disappeared—

Adam!

Though that hint of familiarity had hinted to Lynch at the identity beneath the mask, truly seeing the result still caused his heart to clench as if grasped by an invisible hand, sinking heavily.

Lynch’s spiritual power, like invisible rcury, swiftly perated inward.

However,

the sea of consciousness, which should have contained familiar soul waves, was now a dead void, desolate to the point of chilling the heart.

Adam’s soul consciousness had been entirely erased without a trace. The body in front of him, bearing the appearance of his friend, was just a ticulously maintained yet utterly empty shell.

Lynch’s expression grew thoroughly grim, like dark clouds gathering before a storm.

He lifted his head, his gaze sharp as two icy arrows, aiming at the Abyss Scholar, which writhed in anger, emitting chaotic psychic waves. His voice, nearly squeezed through gritted teeth, asked, "Is this... your doing?"

The Abyss Scholar Saros didn’t answer, only shrieking madly, chaotic psychic attacks surging towards Lynch like a tidal wave: "Give it back! Give back my host body!!"

Lynch nodded, the last trace of emotion vanishing from his face, leaving only a heart-stopping calmness.

"Very well."

He repeated, the words so light they seed like a sigh, yet heavy as a thousand weights.

"Very well."

Fragnts of past mories echoed in his mind.

There was the ti they fought side by side in the cave, battling against the massive form of the Ausen Giant Python.

And also when they drank heartily together at the Fairy Tavern.

He still rembered the shy boy, who spoke little but valued friendship greatly, coming to share his joy when he first donned the Black Robe.

And Lynch would talk to him about recent cheerful things during leisure tis.

Pasts vividly replayed, seeming as if they occurred just yesterday.

It seed like yesterday when Adam had co to bid farewell at his place, just like usual, ready to carry out the task assigned by the Tower.

However today,

he had been turned into a husk by their ntor, the Lord of the Tower, revered and admired by all, by erasing his soul.

Anger!

Upon arriving at the Ancient Ruins, it was Lynch’s first ti feeling such rage!

The mont the words fell, without any further reservation, the terrifying Spiritual Field, vast as an abyss, which had been restrained and suppressed, suddenly awakened like a long-sleeping beast, explosively unfurling!

"Boom——!"

The invisible pressure transford into a tangible storm that swept across the entire sealed space. The shattered stones on the desolate hill silently turned to dust, the air solidified like an iron plate, and even the light twisted and dimd in response.

Reo, Codinos, and Saros, at the forefront, turned paper-white in an instant, their pupils shrinking to the size of a needlepoint due to extre fear! The ntal pressure, as if the sky itself had collapsed and pressed down on them, clearly revealed a shocking fact that made their souls tremble——

"Late... Late Stage Domain!!" Reo cried out in disbelief and despair. His Arrogant Domain, a source of pride, was insignificant as a firefly before the vast moon, leaving him unable even to conjure a thought of resistance.

The runes on Codinos’ chanical body flickered madly, calculating the possibility of escape, only to yield a result that led to a breakdown-inducing void. Saros’ yarn-like body trembled violently, the core’s ghostly light flickering with primitive fear.

However, there was no ti left for regret, shock, or strategizing.

Lynch’s unmatched Spiritual Consciousness, like three cold shackles, had already locked onto them tightly, leaving no escape. The surrounding space was entirely solidified, closed off, cutting off any possibility of teleportation or escape, rendering them trapped like turtles in a jar.

A deep and cold voice, seemingly originating from the deepest depths of hell, resonated directly in the core of their souls, carrying a verdict-like absolute will, causing them to feel as if plunged into an icy cavern, chilled to the bone:

"Go to hell... and repent!"
