"Boom——!!!"

As if an invisible dam suddenly burst, a torrent of chaotic energy mixed with scarlet, deep blue, earthy yellow, and ghastly green, visible to the naked eye, surged out violently from the depths of the Forest like a sea of destruction breaking its banks! It’s not wind, yet it’s more terrifying than the most violent hurricane. Wherever it goes, Space emits a strained, twisted humming.

And this is just the beginning!

Along with the sweeping destructive Elental Storm, the surrounding environnt underwent a terrifying transformation akin to turning the world upside down!

The solid ground beneath everyone’s feet began to heave and twist violently like a living creature. The solid earth instantly turned to sand, then solidified like iron the next mont! The nearby babbling brook had its waters completely evaporated in an instant, exposing a dry, cracked riverbed, which was soon inexplicably covered with thick Ice!

The surrounding trees t an even more dreadful fate, as colossal ancient trees requiring several people to encircle dried up and decayed at a pace visible to the naked eye as if sped up by millions of tis. Their trunks turned to ash in the Storm’s wake;

Other trees bizarrely proliferated and swelled, twisting into indescribable tumorous masses, then exploded in a clash of different elent attributes!

The sky’s color flickered wildly between scarlet and darkness, and the air was filled with contradictory slls like burning, stench, floral, and sulfur. Gravity seed to beco chaotic, with stones on the ground occasionally floating weightlessly, only to crash down with several tis the force!

The once peaceful and tranquil Ruins Forest had turned into a chaotic Purgatory where the Rules collapsed and elents rioted in just a few breaths!

And this squad was rcilessly swallowed by the Elental Storm in an instant...

...

The sa thing was happening all over the world.

A Snow Mountain in the Northern Territory.

Climbers were arduously trekking along the perennial icy ridge, connected by ropes, battling the wind that could tear the skin. Suddenly, the leader felt an unnatural tremor beneath the glacier. "Hold steady!" he shouted, just as the pure, extrely cold white mist around them was stained with ominous dark red and murky yellow.

The Elental Storm swept past, rewriting the Rules with brute force. Millennia-unchanged ice began to lt and flow like wax, revealing the black rocks below. Imdiately, the lted icewater ignited spontaneously, transford into soaring flas, raging atop the Snow Mountain! The cold air was replaced by unthinkably high temperatures, turning icy snowflakes into scorching volcanic ash.

"Ah! My leg!" a team mber scread as the ice beneath him lted, causing him to slide downwards, where a crack suddenly appeared, filled with roiling hot magma waiting below.

"God! What is happening?!"

An avalanche did not occur; instead, there was a Purgatory of ice and fire. The team mbers watched in horror as distant snow peaks collapsed under the high heat, and the lted snow mixed with debris to form a scorching torrent, engulfing everything in its path. Piercing screams echoed through the bizarre landscape of intertwined ice and fire, soon drowned out by the even louder sounds of explosions.

...

The Western Continent, Flowing Gold Desert.

A caravan was making its way through the endless sea of sand under the blazing sun, cal bells jingling. Suddenly, the lead cal began to bellow uneasily, pacing nervously. The sun remained scorching in the sky, but the air suddenly beca humid and sticky, as if it could be wrung out.

"Damn! Why is it so wet all of a sudden?" a rchant wiped the moisture off his face, bewildered.

Before he could finish speaking, the Elental Storm descended. The sky was no longer blue, but sickly purple and green. In the next second, torrential rain fell as if pouring from the heavens, the cold and bone-chilling raindrops starkly contrasting the desert’s heat. The sandy ground quickly beca a quagmire, with the cals’ hooves sinking deep into it.

More terrifying, the rain didn’t seep into the sand but instead strangely coalesced and froze! In the blink of an eye, countless twisted ice pillars rose out of the desert, and so caravan mbers and cals, unable to react in ti, were instantly frozen within them, captured in their last monts of terror.

"Run! Get out of here!" the survivors scread, scrambling through the mud and sudden ice formations. Behind them, the dunes began to liquefy and collapse under the rain and inexplicable forces, forming a quicksand trap that consud goods, tents, and people who didn’t escape in ti. The once golden sand sea turned into a treacherous sandpit interwoven with mud and ice.

....

Central Plain, Oak Town.

The noonday market buzzed with life, the sounds of vendors calling out, haggling, and children laughing intertwined. Housewives were selecting fresh produce, rhythmic hamring echoed from the Blacksmith Shop, and the aroma of ale wafted from the tavern.

Without warning, the sky darkened—not because of clouds, but because colors beca chaotically disordered. Then, a violent elental turbulence struck like an invisible giant’s hand slapping down!

The cobblestone streets undulated and fractured like waves, stalls were overturned, and goods scattered everywhere. A stone granary structure quickly weathered and crumbled to powder under horrified gazes, as if eroded over centuries;

anwhile, the wooden stable next to it bizarrely grew and twisted, with beams snaking like living tentacles to tightly bind and strangle terrified horses and passersby.

"Help!"

"Mom! Where are you?!"

"The house! The house collapsed!"

Cries for help, screams, and the roar of collapsing buildings swiftly replaced the previous clamor.

A lightning-like ghastly green energy bolt swept across the square. Those caught by it weren’t electrocuted but had parts of their bodies petrified while others liquified strangely, falling dead in excruciating pain.

The town’s clocktower snapped in half under the twisted forces, crashing into the crowded refugees with nurous casualties. The familiar ho turned into a chaotic, rule-defying hell in an instant.

Southern Continent, Elf Forest.

Ilani the Elf Scout moved silently through the forest like a cheetah, tracking a Demon’s trail. The Forest was unusually quiet, even the chirping of insects and birds had disappeared. A strong unease rose in her heart.

Suddenly, the Space in front of her distorted, like looking through a shaking water curtain. Then, the Elental Storm spread silently like a tsunami.

The towering ancient trees began to mutate crazily. Their bark peeled off, revealing throbbing tissue beneath, like blood and flesh, and branches hardened into sharp bone spurs, indiscriminately stabbing at the surroundings;

Moss on the ground rapidly proliferated, becoming slippery and corrosive, entangling and rapidly dissolving fleeing forest deer and small creatures.

"By the spirits of nature..." Ilani watched in horror as the wolf-like Demon she was tracking suddenly swelled and exploded during its sprint, spraying not blood but scorching magma and cold tal shards.

She tried to find cover but found that the air around her was at tis sticky as glue, making movent arduous, and at other tis thin as vacuum, making breathing difficult. The ground was sotis as solid as rock, other tis soft as a swamp.

This forest, where she grew up, so full of life, now had every inch of land and air filled with deadly threats. She could only rely on instinct and luck to dodge amidst the frenziedly mutating woods, while other forest residents’ dying wails and the horrific sounds of plants’ twisted growth echoed around her.

The very foundations of the world were shaking, misery spread across the land, and the prelude to the collapse of Rules had already sounded.

A drastic change...

quietly unfolds!
