Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience Chapter 695 - 1: The Lost Tower Opens
Just as the suffocating pressure of Truth perated the area, with all the Wizards holding their breath in concentration, Kong slightly tilted his head and quickly whispered to Lynch in a low voice: "This is the master of the Lost Tower, Lord Naples."
Lynch’s heart trembled as he silently morized the na. To manage such a magical and dangerous place, his status and power among the Truth Wizards must be extraordinary.
At that mont, the Truth Wizard known as Naples slowly scanned the entire scene with eyes as piercing as invisible probes. His gaze seed to sweep evenly across everyone, yet when it passed Lynch’s position, it paused for an imperceptible mont.
Lynch clearly felt that the gaze hidden under the shadow of the hood lingered on him for a fraction of a second longer, and the area under the shadow, which covered the other’s brow, seed to twitch slightly.
It was a subtle reaction, as if perceiving sothing unexpected or anomalous. Though it was fleeting without any subsequent indication, it made Lynch’s heart involuntarily skip a beat.
’He noticed ? Why?’
Naples’ gaze did not linger on any individual excessively. He seed just to take a casual glance before turning to all the Wizards and speaking in a calm yet audible voice. Although his voice wasn’t loud, it curiously drowned out the Space’s humming:
"Travelers seeking knowledge, welco to the Lost Tower."
His words were straightforward, without any superfluous pleasantries or elaborations.
"You are all sowhat familiar with the rules here, I presu. For those not very well aware, there is no need to worry. Upon entering the Tower, just follow one principle—strive to climb upwards, absorb, and acquire knowledge to the best of your ability. Each floor has its opportunities and trials, so how far you get and how much you gain all depend on your skills."
He paused, his tone carrying a hint of gentle encouragent: "Then, I wish all of you gains and good fortune."
The mont his words fell, he elegantly raised his hand and snapped his fingers softly.
"Snap!"
The crisp sound seed like a signal. Instantly, countless feathers as black as night appeared out of thin air in the sky!
These feathers seemingly ca to life, quickly gathering and transforming into sharp-eyed, entirely black Crows, cawing loudly as they surged like a tide towards the slowly rotating black vortex in the center of the square!
When the first Crow touched the vortex—
"Buzz!!!"
The entire vortex shook violently, its volu expanding at a speed visible to the naked eye! Its color changed from profound black to a mysterious, deep purple, seemingly containing endless wisdom!
The expanding purple vortex stabilized, and inside was no longer an all-consuming darkness but a slowly rotating passage like a nebula, emitting strong Space fluctuations and a tempting pull.
"Please." Naples bowed slightly, gesturing elegantly.
The Wizards, who had long been waiting impatiently, transford into streams of varying colors and rushed toward the deep purple vortex, disappearing swiftly.
"See you inside the Tower, be wary of those from the Land of Freedom." Kong quickly told Lynch, nodded to Vanilla, Philis, and others, and then flew towards the vortex.
Lynch took a deep breath, suppressing the slight unease caused by Naples’ subtle reaction, took one last look at the sunken ancient square, and without further hesitation, moved with the crowd toward the purple entrance.
At the mont his silhouette was about to vanish into the vortex, he again distinctly felt a strange and focused gaze locked tightly on his back!
He turned his head abruptly to look—
In his field of vision, only the distant Black Robe master of the Tower stood quietly, with the shadow under the hood seemingly never shifting. The rushing crowd into the vortex obscured much of the view, making it seem like an illusion.
Lynch frowned, pressed down his doubts, and turned around, fully imrsing himself in the purple brilliance, disappearing entirely.
Once Lynch’s figure completely vanished into the vortex and the crowd on the square thinned out, a Crow entirely black with red pupils fluttered silently, landing on Naples’ slightly raised arm, eventually perching on his shoulder.
The Crow’s red eyes rotated agilely, staring fixedly in the direction of Lynch’s disappearance into the vortex, and astonishingly, it spoke in a hoarse, ancient voice:
"This sll... there’s no mistake... it’s the rancid stench left by ’Ti’ that old fellow..."
The master of the Lost Tower, Naples, standing motionless, showed a blatant trace of annoyance on his face at the words and spat lowly:
"Hmph... truly a haunting and detestable Ti Law."
...
The pressure on his body suddenly tightened as if passing through a thick curtain of liquid, then it abruptly lightened again, and all the sense of constraint disappeared instantly.
Lynch’s vision quickly cleared, and he found himself in a completely unfamiliar environnt.
This was the interior of a very ancient high Tower, and he stood at the lowest level. Under his feet were cold, slightly damp massive bluestone slabs ticulously covering the entire floor. The slabs were etched with ancient and worn-out patterns, difficult to discern, with fissures accumulated with dust over the years.
The air was filled with a mix of the sll of old parchnt, stone humidness, and a trace of faint Magic Energy dissipating in the air.
Looking around was a row of towering bookshelves made of so dark wood or stone materials, densely packed with various books and scrolls. Many of the book covers were badly damaged, with the text on the spines faded over ti.
Between the bookshelves, so fire basins embedded in bronze bases were affixed to the walls, burning so sort of eerie blue Magic flas, they danced silently, emitting a stable yet cold light, barely dispelling the tower’s deep, gloomy ambiance.
Not far away, a broad, spiral stone staircase clung to the tower wall, ascending into the darkness of higher floors, seemingly leading to unknown depths of knowledge.
The entire space was eerily quiet, only the faint crackling of the mysterious blue flas and his own slight breathing could be heard.
However, this dead silence did not last long.
Just as Lynch had initially surveyed the surroundings and was about to step and explore—
Swoosh!
A thick to, its cover crafted from so dark brown thick leather, suddenly shot off the left-side bookshelf without any warning! This book’s cover bore no title or author’s information, instead, it displayed a gigantic mouth pattern sketched in twisted dark red lines occupying most of the cover!
At the mont, the mouth seed to co alive, opening wide, revealing an "oral cavity" and "throat" composed of chaotic Magic Energy, resembling dark black tar!
Without any preamble, an intensely condensed black Fireball, emitting ominous and destructive energy, shot out violently from the gaping mouth, with scorching heat and a piercing whistling, straight at Lynch’s face!
