Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience Chapter 614 - 18: Night
"Roar!"
The ferocious Dead Spirit that the shop owner transford into lunged at Lynch’s face with sharp claws, shrouded in intense resentful black aura, tearing through the air! The chilling sense that struck the soul almost froze his thoughts.
Although Lynch was surprised, he remained calm, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes. Dealing with such a Dead Spirit was beneath him!
"[Dinsion Slash]!"
With a slight movent of his mind, an almost imperceptible silver thread instantly appeared in front of him, precisely eting the pair of black claws!
However, a sudden change occurred!
The dinsion blade, strong enough to flatten a mountain peak, passed seamlessly through the Dead Spirit’s claws as if passing through an illusory projection, without any resistance!
No sensation of cutting, no energy collision, not even the slightest ripple was stirred! The silver line penetrated the Dead Spirit’s body without obstruction, flying onward to hit the gray, dusty wall of the room.
What made Lynch’s pupils contract suddenly was that no spatial cut marks appeared on the wall. The energy of the dinsion blade, like a clay ox entering the sea, only stirred a fleeting, faint wave-like gray ripple upon contact with the wall, then completely disappeared without a trace, as if it had never existed!
"What?!" Lynch’s heart shook violently.
Magic attacks ineffective?! Even spatial cutting power, which touches the level of laws, was completely nullified?
In that split second of shock, the Dead Spirit’s claws were already upon him! The foul black aura and cold scent of death rushed at him!
No ti to think, Lynch reacted almost instinctively—he twisted and sidestepped, unleashing the physical strength of a peak Great Knight with one swift whip-like right leg!
"Boom!"
A dull thud! That kick landed squarely on the waist and belly of the shop-owning Dead Spirit!
The effect was entirely different!
The swollen, mutated, bluish-purple body, like a battered sack, was violently struck by a torrent of great force!
Accompanied by the sound of cracking bones, the shop-owning Dead Spirit let out an even more shrill, ear-piercing soul scream, their entire body flying backward, slamming heavily against the rear wall!
"Crash!"
The wall was smashed into an indented crack, and the Dead Spirit’s body slumped down like mud, the black aura forming the body flaring up, dispersing, and temporarily losing its ability to act.
Lynch looked at his own foot, then at the pile of temporarily "paralyzed" black aura on the wall, bewildered for a mont: "Physical attacks... effective? Magic... completely ineffective?" This extrely bizarre rule left him at a loss.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
From the next room ca the sounds of fierce clashes and sothing sharp slicing through the air! Clearly, Kong was also under attack!
Lynch’s heart tightened, and he imdiately rushed toward the door. The situation in the corridor outside made his brows furrow!
In the narrow, dark corridor, it was already crowded with various forms of Dead Spirits! The farr who was carrying a hoe during the day had now transford into a tall, bloated zombie with bluish-purple skin, swinging a rusty but black aura-wrapped hoe;
The woman with the basket beca a Resentful Spirit floating mid-air, with hair dancing like snakes, emitting a silent scream;
The man at the blacksmith shop entrance transford into a Skeleton Warrior wielding a giant hamr burning with ghostly green flas... Their eyes burned with the sa mad malice as the shop owner, roaring and jostling, trying to burst into Kong’s room!
Lynch didn’t hesitate, his mind moved, drawing out the Phantom Cross Sword that had accompanied him for years from a space crack. The sword body glead coldly, becoming his most reliable reliance at this mont.
"Get lost!" Lynch growled, infusing his Great Knight’s strength into the sword, the sword light sweeping across like a polished bolt!
"Slash! Slash!"
No flashy magical glow, only the most primitive, most violent physical slashes! The sharp blade of the Cross Sword easily sliced through the resilient skin of the zombie farr, severed the arm bone of the Skeleton Warrior, and temporarily forced back the approaching Resentful Spirit. The black, tar-like "blood" and scattered Soul Fragnts splattered onto the walls and floor.
He charged in like a fierce tiger into a flock of sheep, forcefully carving a bloody path through the dense Dead Spirit crowd, reaching the door of Kong’s room.
Inside the room, the scene was equally horrifying.
Several twisted forms of Dead Spirits were frantically attacking Kong. Lynch was slightly surprised to find that Kong was wielding an ancient-looking cross sword retrieved from who knows where.
Her movents were precise and swift beyond human capabilities, each strike carrying a sharp whistle as it tore through the air, severing and pushing back the limbs of the attacking Dead Spirits. Her silver-gray eyes remained calm, but she clearly realized the rule of magic being ineffective, relying on her exquisite swordsmanship to maneuver.
"Kong! Over here!" Lynch split apart the Skeleton Warrior blocking the doorway with a single slash and shouted loudly.
Upon hearing the call, Kong spun gracefully, her sword light wheeling, montarily forcing back the Dead Spirits before her, and in a flash, she joined Lynch at the doorway.
"Physical attacks effective, magic ineffective! They will resurrect!" Lynch shouted quickly, simultaneously backhanding to slash an ambushing Resentful Spirit behind him in half.
As if to confirm his words, in the hallway, the zombie farr whose head Lynch had just sliced in half had its dissipated black aura rolling on the ground, recomposing itself within ten heartbeats, and the half head "regenerated." Though its aura weakened slightly, the fierce glint in its eyes was even stronger, charging again with a roar! Beside it, the shop-owning Dead Spirit Lynch had kicked into paralysis in the room was also writhing, reconsolidating its dispersed black aura!
"Can’t kill them!" Kong’s brows furrowed noticeably for the first ti. She parried a green fire-burning hamr with her sword, her tone heavy, "As long as the core is untouched, they possess almost infinite regeneration ability under these rules!"
The influx of Dead Spirits into the corridor and room increased, squeezing the space for the two to maneuver in the already cramped area.
The stench of decay, the cold resentnt, the silent screams assailed the soul, and even the stamina of a Great Knight began to deplete rapidly in the continuous high-intensity combat. The Phantom Cross Sword was already sared with viscous black blood, and fine nicks began appearing on the blade’s edge.
"Through the window!" Lynch decided without hesitation, slashing apart the obstruction before him, crashing into the dust-covered window of the room!
"Crash!" The wooden window shattered.
The two of them leaped down without hesitation!
But the scene upon landing made their hearts sink.
The entire small town was in complete turmoil!
The street desolate during the day, the silent houses, now it was as if the Gate of Hell had swung wide open! Countless Dead Spirits surged from every corner! They ca in various forms, but all bore the sa frenzy and resentnt, flooding the view like a black tide! The awakened "townsfolk," now all turned into avenging ghosts!
They were completely surrounded! From all directions, nurous eyes burning with soul fire locked onto these two "living" intruders! The aura of despair rushed at them like an icy tide. Though physical attacks were effective, against the endless, unkillable Dead Spirit surge, even the strongest stamina would eventually be exhausted!
