Lynch hesitated for a mont.

In a life, if it were just illness or injuries, those are easy to handle, even if it’s already torn to pieces and turned to dust, as long as the soul still exists, Lynch has the ability to restore it.

But when Ti runs out...

Even Lynch is helpless.

Even if he could use so ans to extend life a little, the cost would be extraordinary, and it wouldn’t have much aning.

He shook his head, "Sorry, I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you."

The ssiah shuddered.

She asked in incomprehension, "Why?"

Lynch pointed to Farrias on the sickbed, "He no longer has Ti."

The ssiah was taken aback, "No Ti?"

She asked in confusion, "Then just give him Ti."

Lynch was speechless.

He shook his head and said, "ssiah, I can’t."

After a pause, he explained, "Ti is the most precious thing in this world. It is innate and predestined from the beginning for every life. All life in this world is bound by Ti."

"When Ti begins, that’s when this life is born into the world, and when Ti ends, that’s when this life is ant to leave."

The ssiah remained silent.

Lynch wanted to comfort her with a few words, but she quickly asked, "Who can? Who controls Ti, who can give Ti?"

This question... is truly perceptive.

Lynch shook his head, "I don’t know, but if I were to find an answer, I’d probably say it would be the Divine."

The ssiah asked in confusion, "The Divine? Didn’t you say I am the Divine?"

Lynch shook his head, "No, ssiah, you are not yet."

His gaze fell on the top of Farrias’ head, looking at the dwindling numbers, he said, "Perhaps only when you beco a true Divine can you do it."

"Divine..."

The ssiah murmured to herself, not knowing what she was thinking.

...

Late at night, unknown what ti it was.

Bonne had been by the bedside, already asleep by Farrias’ side.

In a daze, she suddenly felt soone gently touching her cheek.

She instinctively opened her eyes and quickly saw the culprit.

It was Farrias.

At so point, he had already sat up and was sitting on the bed, gently stroking her face with his rough hand.

Their gazes t, and a slight blush appeared on Farrias’ old face, his eyes evasively avoiding hers.

They had lived together for decades, and he had never touched Bonne’s face like this, so tenderly, like treating a lover.

Those were actions he’d only perford in dreams on the town’s most beautiful girl in his youth.

At this mont, he felt like a child caught in the act of a mistake.

However, at that ti, Bonne didn’t care about any of this. She instantly and joyously exclaid, "You’re awake!"

Farrias nodded, "Yes."

Bonne’s heart sank.

Normally, Farrias would be stretching his arms, saying things like ’I don’t know what happened, but it seems I’ve just slept and now feel much better, I think I’m all right, bring my hoe.’ Such were his usual words.

But he didn’t, he just nodded and quietly looked at her.

The room fell into silence for a mont.

Finally, it was Farrias who broke the silence.

He looked at Bonne and said, "You’re beautiful."

In the decades they had been together, Farrias had never spoken such sweet words, and Bonne’s appearance could hardly be described as beautiful.

Yet at this mont, the words from Farrias’ mouth didn’t feel out of place at all; there was no touch of insincerity, everything seed so naturally aligned, so seamlessly appropriate, as if it was a natural thing to say.

Tears glimred in Bonne’s eyes as she chided, "What’s the point of saying such things?"

After a pause, she added, "If you like seeing it, then get better quickly, and I’ll find the Wandering rchant to buy so makeup and dress up for you."

Farrias burst into laughter, "Haha, that would be stunning."

Bonne laughed as well.

In a flash, Farrias’ mory tangled for a mont, as if the Bonne before him was the most beautiful girl in town, as if he had indeed married the most beautiful girl in town.

Similarly, Bonne seed to recall then that Farrias was the most handso boy in town, that she indeed married the most handso boy.

Yes,

It must be so.

Farrias suddenly felt that his life had been incredibly happy, being able to marry the most beautiful girl in town, receiving love from such a person, and living a life with her.

Knowing each other, loving each other, promising to each other, and staying together for a lifeti!

Just like a fairy tale.

For a mont, Farrias felt invigorated and said, "Help up, let’s go sit in the yard."

At this unknown hour before dawn, Bonne would usually scold him for being crazy, but this ti she just looked worriedly at the cold and frozen outside.

However, Farrias appeared very stubborn, with an air of masculine charm tinged with a romance never seen before: "I want to watch the sunrise with you! I’ll pick the most beautiful morning glow from the horizon and make you a beautiful hairpin."

He gently stroked Bonne’s withered and graying hair.

Tears welled up in Bonne’s eyes. She felt both amused and touched that such lovely words could co from a simple farr’s mouth.

"Alright, alright, alright!"

She wiped away the tears and helped Farrias up: "Make a hairpin."

The two of them went to the yard together and sat on the steps.

Farrias then did sothing he had never done before; he wrapped his arm around Bonne’s shoulder, dominantly pulling her into his embrace, and Bonne did not resist at that mont, gently and obediently lying on him like a kitten.

Farrias looked at the forest ahead and said, "Do you rember? I once had a fight with that guy Hansen over there, and I beat him until he looked like a pig."

Bonne pouted, feeling a wave of jealousy: "Of course, I rember. You two fought over whom Sophia glanced at, and it turned into a joke for the whole town."

She paused and gave Farrias a look: "Too bad Sophia wasn’t looking at either of you; she was looking at Brando."

"Aha!"

Farrias smiled awkwardly: "Everyone has their blind monts."

After a pause, he continued, "But the reason I fought with Hansen wasn’t actually because of Sophia. Do you know why?"

Bonne shook her head: "I don’t know."

Farrias said, "It was actually because you were there too, and Hansen’s nonsense made feel very embarrassed."

Bonne was stunned.

Farrias shrugged, slightly helpless, and said, "Though I don’t know why the town gossiped as it did, that’s the real story."

Bonne was silent for a mont and then said, "I have a secret to tell you too."

Farrias asked, "What?"

Bonne said, "Do you rember after you fought with Hansen, soone kicked him into the river?"

Farrias nodded: "Nobody knew who did it. Hansen searched for the culprit for a long ti; there was even a rumor it was so secret admirer of mine."

Bonne straightened with a bit of pride: "That person was ."

Farrias was dumbfounded: "Huh?"

Bonne said, "He was the one who started it by saying nasty things and being rough in the fight. Though he lost, he wouldn’t admit it, which was really annoying. So I kicked him into the river when he went near it."

Bonne never knew Farrias’s little secret, and Farrias never knew Bonne was the ’secret admirer.’

At that mont, ti seed to rewind to the past.

Farrias beca that young man with broad shoulders and strong muscles, and Bonne beca that beautiful girl with two braids.

They looked at each other and, as if with the sa mind, burst into laughter:

"Haha!"

That night, Bonne and Farrias talked for a long, long ti, from when they were young and naughty, to dancing at the bonfire banquet on sumr nights.

From sneaking into the forest at night to find the legendary Witch, scared and fleeing while shouting, to gathering by the river and counting the stars barefooted.

From their wedding night to the birth of their children.

From the hunger during droughts to the back pain when a child couldn’t be raised.

There was bitterness and hardship, as well as warmth and sweetness.

It seed like they couldn’t finish talking, the mories endless.

At this mont, they realized just how colorful a life they had led; although ordinary, it was still brilliantly extraordinary, in an ordinary way.

It’s just a pity...

That it has to end like this.

Ti flows like a river, never to return. What must co, always will.

Farrias’s words finally froze on a simple yet lifelong unsaid love confession:

"I love you."

"If there is a next life, I will still love you."

The sun rose from the mountains.

The morning light pierced through the thick clouds and bathed the world.

Gazing at the sunrise, Farrias slowly closed his eyes, and the hand on Bonne’s shoulder quietly slipped away.

Bonne was stunned.

For a long ti...

With a "Wah!"

She burst into tears.

Crying like a child.
