Julia asked in puzzlent, "How?"

Yodel spoke up, "As far as I know, ever since the war with the Dark Moon Church ended, Erwin has retracted the military deploynt of his Domain and reduced the size of the Blood Knight Order, redirecting all resource allocation back to the Adventurer Guild."

Julia furrowed her brow.

She clearly understood the implication in Yodel’s words.

Since the dispute with the Dark Moon Church ended, due to the need to absorb the vast territory left behind by the church, Lynch’s Witch Domain has entered a new period of rest and recuperation.

Erwin also promptly adjusted the previous policy of military expansion, first cutting down the massive size of the Blood Knight Order, and then pacifying the various noble territories within the Dark Moon Church, switching the whole Domain from a state of war to one of rest.

Now, he is busy with the establishnt of several large towns, working to absorb the vast population left by the Dark Moon Church into the cities, and the new establishnt of Adventurer Guilds across various regions, to transform these new inhabitants into adventurers to explore the Underground City.

The policy adjustnts clearly indicate that Lynch’s Witch Domain is now focused on internal consolidation and is not likely to initiate external conflicts.

If the information is conveyed to Erwin, he would probably not risk making enemies by absorbing the Ivory Tower—this Transcendent Organization—and the tens of thousands of believers, risking provocation with the Pure White Tower.

Julia asked, "So what do you an?"

She had no authority over the developnt of the Witch Domain. How the Domain develops, which forces to oppose or ally with, it was not up to her to decide; only Erwin from the Council could make those decisions, or rather Lynch behind Erwin had the final say.

Yodel said, "What I an is, you might first engage with the Ivory Tower and see if they voluntarily submit to us and beco believers of the Light Goddess. Absorbing these Transcendents into the Church could circumvent the Council, don’t you think?"

"If, at that ti, tens of thousands of civilians and the vast territory essentially beco ours, then should we face any external threat, both the Council and the Guardians wouldn’t just sit idly by, right?"

Julia’s brows twitched.

A large chunk of the Witch Domain and several hundred Transcendents; to say she’s not tempted, that’s impossible.

Among those are not even all the Wizard Level beings; if these Transcendents were officially integrated through the Council, Lynch would allocate them, dividing among Magical Farm, Minstrels Association, Alchemy Workshop, and the few that actually reach the Church would be very limited.

But if she directly absorbed these Transcendents bypassing the Council, then they would be all under her jurisdiction!

Seeing her visibly moved, Yodel continued to urge, "Even taking a step back, if the Council and the Guardians are unwilling to engage in external conflicts, no one can stop these civilians and Transcendents from joining our domain, right?"

"Opportunities slip away in the blink of an eye, don’t miss it."

Yodel’s words finally thoroughly persuaded Julia.

She changed her cold expression, her face blooming into a smile, and letting go of the nun’s arm beside her, she actively walked over to stand before Yodel.

Julia smiled, "Father Yodel, since you’re already here at the Light Cathedral, why not accompany to enjoy the Holy al? I believe these matters can’t be discussed briefly; let’s take our ti talking."

The number of Transcendents is directly linked to resource acquisition; having more Transcendents inevitably leads to more resources, and with more resources, she can gain greater power.

Julia used to be a re apprentice, striving her entire life toward reaching Wizard Level 1, her greatest dream.

But now,

Wizard Level 1 is only a small step on her Transcendent path; her ambitions exceed that significantly, aiming for Mid-level Wizard, High-level Wizard, Second Tier, Third Tier, and even higher levels...

Julia and Yodel slowly departed.

Shortly after they left the hall, in one corner, a nun’s gaze lingered on them for a mont before quickly lowering her head and leaving.

The nun traversed the long corridor and entered a room, where she retrieved a pigeon kept in a cage.

She swiftly wrote a letter and attached it to the pigeon’s leg before releasing it.

The square in front of the Light Cathedral was perpetually filled with pigeons scavenging for food, a white pigeon appearing there was utterly inconspicuous.

This pigeon indeed did not attract any attention and soon flew from the cathedral, traversing blocks of buildings, heading toward the center of Fiery Fla City.

In the center of the city stood a majestic castle, forrly Count Lucien’s, now the core of Fiery Fla City and the Council’s residence.

The pigeon landed on a window ledge of a room.

A servant in the corridor heard the noise, opened the door, and upon seeing the pigeon, quickly approached and removed the letter tied to its leg.

Quickly, with hurried footsteps, the servant carried the letter through corridors and stairs, arriving at the top floor of the castle.

Passing through layers of guards, the servant reached a door at the innermost part and handed over the letter to another servant standing outside.

"Knock, knock!"

The servant promptly knocked on the door.

"Click!" The door opened.

Two High-level Knights stood vigilantly at the door, the runes on their arms indicating that they were Transcendent Knights who had received Rune Power inheritance.

The servant walked inside to the farthest part of the room, where a wide desk occupied the space, and an elderly man sat at the desk, working, with a Great Knight Level guardian unwaveringly at his side.

This man is the current highest power holder of Fiery Fla City, the actual controller of this city’s council, ruling the societal order in Lynch’s Witch Domain: Erwin Kano.

The servant approached the desk and presented the letter, "Sir, this just arrived from the Light Church."

Erwin took the letter, swiftly reading it.

His expression did not change, rely nodding, "Understood."

The servant promptly withdrew.

Erwin’s eyes scanned over the letter again, then he set it aside.

He shook his head, indifferent, "The shifts in power, indeed enigmatic."
