Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience Chapter 294 - 007: Absolute Force Field and Rune Power
Months later, amidst the ruins of the Central Royal Court.
It was night.
Underneath the crumbling remains, a campfire crackled softly as it burned. The fairy Shea flitted about the ruins, leaving trails of luminous light in the night sky.
By the campfire, Lynch held a book in his hands, quietly studying magic.
The Moon Eclipse’s End Sigh had completed its final skill level advancent not long ago, reaching perfection.
[Moon Eclipse’s End Sigh max]
Lynch wasted no ti and began studying a second Wizard Inheritance.
This new inheritance was called [Absolute Force Field]. It was a Force Field System Wizard Inheritance, involving manipulation of gravity, force field barriers, and more. This wasn’t an obscure subject; Lynch had already mastered several similar spells during his apprentice period, such as Wizard’s Hand, Polyhedron, and others.
It was another Second Tier Inheritance, originating from the Tosca family. This was a First-class Wizard Family from the Ancient Relics region, known for their exceptional strength. The family had once nurtured a Second Tier wizard, making them the most formidable clan Lynch had plundered this ti. Without a surprise attack, it wouldn’t have been so easily accomplished.
Lynch quickly completed one learning session.
[Absolute Force Field Skill Level 16]
[Absolute Force Field: 318/100000]
"Progress is so slow."
Glancing at the progress bar, Lynch noted the re ten-plus points gained with each session—thanks only to the extensive Force Field knowledge he had amassed during his apprentice period. Otherwise, it would have been as frustratingly slow as learning Moon Eclipse’s End Sigh, with single-digit advancents each ti.
After one session, Lynch put aside the Absolute Force Field book and picked up a new magic book to read. Sticking with one set of knowledge for too long was unbearably dull; alternating between subjects helped improve efficiency—sothing he had learned through years of grinding.
The newly chosen book was titled [Rune Power]. This was a First Ring Wizard Inheritance, also from the Tosca family. Altogether, Lynch had seized three inheritances from them: one secret skill and two Wizard-level ones. Such grand Wizard Families truly stood apart in strength and resources.
Let’s talk about the spells.
The Rune Power system belonged to the Bloodline Refinent frawork. Its core principle was embedding runes within one’s body to gain power, but it usually required certain levels of physical modification.
"One’s body, skin, and hair co from one’s parents"—the idea of modifying his own body was sothing Lynch simply could not accept.
But that didn’t matter.
He had no interest in modifying himself, but modifying others? That intrigued him greatly.
Especially since he was currently a wanted man.
The current Wizard World was governed by the Supre Council. To be a wanted criminal was to be scorned as a rat, despised by everyone. Until he addressed this issue, there was nowhere he could go, forcing him to live as a caveman in these remote mountains and forests.
To clear his identity, he needed either exceptional power or enough personal value to offer.
The forr would require him to at least reach the level of Nicholas—but that seed a distant goal. While Wizard Somda had left him a complete inheritance of the Wizard’s Road, progressing beyond his current Second Tier was proving exceedingly difficult...
If fighting alone wasn’t feasible, then showcasing imnse personal value would suffice. Building a loyal faction was undoubtedly a viable path.
Even Lin Chong, however skilled in combat, was just a bandit on his own. But with a group of brothers at his side, he could pass himself off as Doctor Wood.
Lynch did have a fondness for negotiating within the Wizard World.
With Rune Power and his knowledge of Biological Transformation, Lynch now had the ans to grant power to others. If he could recruit a band of followers, nurture them over a few decades, seize a few Witch Domains, and claim titles such as Witch Master or Judge, gaining a seat in the Supre Council would no longer be just a pipedream.
Moreover, cultivating along the Wizard’s Road required substantial resources and materials. In the past, Avery had provided everything for him to rely on, but now that he no longer had her support, he couldn’t gather everything solo. Searching for each item manually would waste an unthinkable amount of ti.
In summary,
having a following would prove indispensable in all respects.
For now, these ideas existed only in his head as vague concepts. Lynch had no concrete plan yet, so he could only proceed step by step. More preparation wouldn’t hurt.
Lynch soon completed another learning session.
[Rune Power Skill Level 23]
[Rune Power: 128/30000]
"Yawn~"
Lynch yawned, rubbed his aching forehead, and closed the book.
He decided it was ti for a break instead of continuing to grind.
"Crack!"
The campfire wood popped, scattering sparks into the night breeze.
Sitting by the fire, Lynch gazed into the distance.
The firelight flickered over the ruins, casting shadows amidst the surrounding debris. All around lay desolation.
In the distance, several towering, crumbled towers were faintly visible, their tops already collapsed, leaving only a few solitary pillars pointing to the heavens.
Close by, broken stone columns and collapsed walls lay like the skeletons of giant beasts, sprawling silently across the earth.
Weeds grew thickly, and vines climbed unchecked.

The entire world was steeped in deathly silence, broken only by the low, mournful wails of the wind as it swept through the ruins, as though the souls of the dead lanted for this broken world.
The Central Royal Court.
A trace of lancholy flickered in Lynch’s eyes.
Historically, this place had been the heart of the world, its most glorious hub, with endless sprawling cities, gold-encrusted palaces, towering Wizard Towers... A marvel of architecture too magnificent to count.
It had been an assembly of an entire Wizard Civilization, built upon the relentless dedication of countless wizards—once the beacon shining over the entire world.
Now, only rubble remained...
One truly couldn’t help but lant such a tragic fall.
"Eep eep!"
Just then, a series of chirps rang out.
Lynch turned to see Shea hovering around a ruined structure, flapping her wings and chirping for his attention.
’Did she find sothing?’
Rising to his feet, Lynch approached. When he got closer, he saw Shea hovering above a stone slab, gesturing toward it insistently, as though sothing lay beneath.
Crouching, Lynch lifted the slab.
Calling it a stone slab hardly did it justice—it was more like the remains of a collapsed wall. Five ters in length and width, and over half a ter thick, it must have weighed a thousand pounds at least.
But for Lynch, a Great Knight, it was a simple task. With a push, the slab toppled over with a thunderous crash, revealing what lay beneath.
It was a dark opening, roughly two ters in diater, with a stone staircase leading downward. It resembled the hidden underground vaults of noble estates.
"A hidden chamber?"
Intrigued, Lynch cast a Detection Magic spell downward. However, to his surprise, the spell was imdiately repelled. A peculiar barrier seed to cover this entrance.
"A barrier, huh?"
Lynch’s interest intensified. Seeing his Detection Magic fail, he took out several Alchemy Spiders from his Space Pocket and had them crawl into the passageway.
But sothing strange happened. As soon as the Alchemy Spiders passed through the barrier, all their spiritual connections to Lynch were severed.
"Huh? It even blocks spiritual power?"
Though the spiders were visibly right beneath the stairs, it was as if they belonged to a completely separate world. No matter how Lynch guided them, they wouldn’t respond.
Finally, he resorted to a crude thod—
Using a Long Magic Wand to hook the spiders back through the barrier—but without entering himself.
Lifting the spiders to eye level, Lynch scanned them with his Spiritual Field. Despite a thorough inspection, no abnormalities were detected. The severed spiritual link reestablished itself as soon as they were out of the barrier.
It felt as though the space beneath the barrier existed in a completely different dinsion... Wait a second...
A different dinsion?
Suddenly,
Lynch recalled sothing he’d read about a peculiar phenonon associated with this ruin.
Narrowing his eyes, he murmured, "There’s only one way to find out."
Lynch proceeded to run experints using various alchemy devices, summoned servants, Frankenstein, and even Shea. He made them repeatedly cross the barrier, carefully observing any effects.
After confirming no apparent dangers, he finally ventured down the staircase himself.
The mont he passed through the barrier, he felt an invisible pressure sweep over him. The elental aura within the space changed dramatically. It was a single step, yet it felt like crossing an entire world.
He had experienced this once before—back during the thousand-year blood moon at the Ancient Relics’ blood-colored battlefield.
Clicking his tongue, Lynch muttered, "Well, I’ll be... "
"A Dinsion Space, huh!"
Indeed, this unassuming entrance was just like the blood-colored battlefield—a standalone space, entirely separate from the Main Material Plane.
Scanning ahead, Lynch stroked his chin with growing eagerness. "Could this be what they call... the ’Underground City’?"
The term "Underground City" could refer to any subterranean construction elsewhere, but in the ruins, it described a distinct type of zone.
These areas were a byproduct of the Truth Level spells cast ten thousand years ago, leading to their unique formation...
