Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience Chapter 199 - 013: Chaos Below
Lynch took away the blood-red crystal from his palm, and at the sa mont, the flower withered.
"Blood Crystal..."
Lynch held the crystal before his eyes and carefully observed it for a while.
It was an incredible treasure from the Blood Moon Battlefield, possessing an exceptionally powerful function:
Soul purification.
When apprentices progress to becoming wizards, the importance of soul power gradually becos apparent, and refining the soul to make it purer is a crucial step in advancing the wizard hierarchy, showing how precious this item is.
Indeed, this is truly a Wizard Level rare resource that can only be utilized at higher levels.
But don’t assu that apprentices have no use for it. In fact, both the Black Tower Alliance and the White Witch Council have issued a detailed list of items that apprentices can exchange for using Blood Crystals.
Magic Stone Witchcraft, all kinds of alchemy products, magic potions and magic plants for advancent, valuable knowledge like magic models, even rare items like Su Ya Water for wizard promotion, and even the status of belonging to a Wizard Family, among others...
Everything imaginable or unimaginable, resources that apprentices desire can almost all be exchanged with these Blood Crystals—true hard currency on this land.
"Such intricate elental structures, I’ve never seen this kind of arrangent..."
"It seems to be a unique product of this Dinsion World?"
"It appears indestructible?"
"But there should still be a way to damage it; otherwise, the rules wouldn’t specifically include a provision against ’damaging Blood Crystals’."
"Too few samples; I need to gather more."
Shaking his head, Lynch took out a special space pocket and stored the red crystal inside it.
Each apprentice entering the battlefield was issued such a space pocket by the wizards, specifically for storing the red crystals. The crystals collected must be stored in these pockets, and taking them out privately is deed a severe cri.
Simultaneously, a marker with the number ’1’ lit up at his location on the map, indicating he had obtained one Blood Crystal.
Similar markers were already scattered across the map, with the largest number reaching ’13’.
"Looks like there are plenty of skilled individuals!"
Lynch felt he’d been quick—rushing out to find crystals the mont the Blood Rain started—but after all his effort, he’d only managed to secure one. Yet soone had already accumulated 13 crystals...
"Better pick up the pace."
Reining in his wandering thoughts, Lynch collected the crystal and headed toward the next nearby coordinate on the map...
A few hours later, by an ice lake.
"Boom!"
The massive ice golem collapsed with a thunderous roar, shattering into chunks of ice from head to toe.
Lynch snapped his fingers, summoning a skeleton to wade into the icy lake. When the skeleton returned, it carried a red crystal in its hand.
Lynch calmly took the red crystal and stored it away. The marker on his map had now changed to 28.
These were the fruits of his labor over the past few hours.
Following his stop at the stone forest earlier, he’d visited several other locations—forests, lakes, grasslands, ruins—and gradually amassed 28 Blood Crystals from them.
Lynch felt he’d been quick, but compared to the staggering numbers so others had achieved—the highest now surpassing the hundred mark—it was still a far stretch. He couldn’t fathom how they managed it.
"Probably through hunting."
Aside from stealing crystals from others, Lynch couldn’t think of any other way to amass crystals so quickly. The map often showed markers disappearing abruptly, further confirming this theory.
"I’ll probably be targeted soon myself."
Although 28 wasn’t a particularly high number, it was still prominent enough to catch eyes on the map.
"Let them co."
Lynch remained indifferent. With his current strength, there was nothing on the Blood Moon Battlefield that could truly threaten him. Even in the unlikely event one did appear, it wasn’t a problem.
After all, he still carried a teleportation scroll—if trouble arose that he couldn’t handle, he could simply use the scroll to escape. Surely, no one could pursue him across that distance?
Even if they did chase him, it wouldn’t matter.
Lynch had set his teleportation destination to his ntor Somda’s location. He couldn’t deny having a mischievous thought: if sothing truly unexpected happened, perhaps he could test whether his ntor’s boasts were credible?
Of course, this was rely idle speculation.
Ultimately,
Having chosen to enter the Blood Moon Battlefield, Lynch naturally ca prepared, otherwise his peaceful nature wouldn’t compel him to venture into such a dangerous battlefield voluntarily.
Reining in his wandering thoughts once more, Lynch continued toward his next crystal coordinate.
Soon, he arrived at a forest.
As he stepped into the area, his movents suddenly halted.
The scene before him made him freeze montarily.
Under a large tree ahead lay the body of a female apprentice.
Her cloak had been torn into shreds,
clearly subjected to extre cruelty,
her body still warm, but she was already lifeless.
Lynch furrowed his brows.
"Scum!"
Not all apprentices ca to the Blood Moon Battlefield for the Blood Crystals, to change their destinies.
So simply sought release instead—release of desires, release through violence.
After all, according to the rules, no matter what cris or atrocities were committed within the Blood Moon Battlefield, there would be no accountability outside. This was an absolute lawless haven, a realm of untethered freedom where anything was permitted.
Those hidden thoughts they’d always suppressed, those dark desires they’d never dared act upon, could now run rampant.
Blood Moon! Blood Moon!
Under the crimson moonlight, everything was permissible.
"Whoosh!"
Thin tendrils erged from beneath the grass, enveloping the girl’s corpse and pulling her gently into the soil, as though the sins had vanished along with her.
"What a dreadful place."
Shaking his head, Lynch continued deeper into the forest.
He hadn’t gone far when he heard voices ahead.
"Susan, you think you’re so aloof, huh? You think you’re above us, don’t you? Too proud to even acknowledge ?"
"Hahaha!"
"No..."
"Please, I’m begging you, don’t do this..."
Stepping closer, Lynch spotted a clearing where several male apprentices had surrounded a girl. Her cloak had been ripped to shreds, and the group was manhandling her, preparing to commit heinous acts.
Coincidentally, Lynch recognized both sides. They were all apprentices from the Shadow Tower, people he’d seen a few tis at the tower. The girl being bullied even had so history with him; years ago, at his welco party, Susan had almost invited him to dance.
It’s said you can’t know the truth within a person just by their exterior. Here they were—frad as virtuous individuals—revealing such vile nature once all restraint was removed.
Lynch wasted no words. Since this was a battlefield, the rules of the battlefield would suffice.
With a casual lift of his hand,
the surrounding space distorted, sending forth bone spears which shot straight at the apprentices ahead.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Amidst sharp, slicing winds, the bone spears easily tore through the defenseless apprentices. Screams erupted everywhere.
"What... what is this?"
"Bone... Bone Spear! Who’s there?!"
"Ah!"
Faced with an overwhelming difference in power, the apprentices stood no chance. In re seconds, Lynch had annihilated them all.
Only one boy remained, pinned to a tree by Lynch’s bone spear.
By now, Lynch had erged, and the boy imdiately recognized him. Terrified, he began pleading for rcy: "Lyn... Lynch, Senior, I... I’m sorry, I know I was wrong. Please forgive , I promise I’ll never do it again."
Lynch’s face remained emotionless: "Tell it to the Judge."
He raised his hand and mid crushing the air before the boy’s neck. With a ’snap,’ the Wizard’s Hand broke his neck.
"Whoosh!"
From the grass, tendrils quickly erged and engulfed the corpses, dragging them underground. All that remained were space pockets containing Blood Crystals. Lynch collected and consolidated them—a total of four.
Soft sobbing sounded nearby.
Susan was curled into a fetal position under a tree, trembling uncontrollably. Her face was filled with terror, and tears stread down incessantly.
Seeing Lynch approach, Susan scrambled backward, her mouth repeatedly pleading: "Don’t... don’t co near , don’t co near !"
Clearly, her spirit had already cracked.
What a pitiable sight.
Lynch casually grabbed a cloak from his space pocket, walking over and crouching down to drape it over Susan, covering her body.
The persistent trembling of her fra finally began to subside.
She froze for a mont.
Her panic-stricken, unfocused gaze slowly regained clarity and landed on Lynch.
Soon after.
"Wah!"
Susan threw herself into Lynch’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
