Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience Chapter 154 - 029: Sealing Technique Book
Lynch curiously flipped the letter over and imdiately recognized the emblem stamped on the sealing mud: a side-facing wolf’s head. It was the crest of his forr lord, the Bayn family.
’A letter from ho? Did Acate send it?’
In the Human World, very few people knew about Lynch’s Transcendent identity, and his forr lord, Acate Bayn, was one of them. Over the years, Acate had sent letters sporadically to update Lynch on the latest about his family.
The main purpose was, of course, to maintain a connection with him. After all, a Transcendent contact was a prized asset for the worldly Nobles.
"Dear Lynch, I have so wonderful news to share with you, and I believe you will be delighted to hear it. Your youngest sister, Nala, is to be married next week. The groom is my most valiant Knight..."
Lynch froze for a mont.
’A wedding?’
’Indeed, when I think about it, Nala has reached the age for marriage...’
Lynch’s youngest sister was nearly ten years younger than him. When he left ho, she had just learned to crawl. In Lynch’s mory, the little girl would always babble her way towards him, her voice soft and sweet, no bigger than a kitten or puppy.
And now, in the blink of an eye, she was getting married!
"...We sincerely hope you can attend and witness the happiest mont of her life..."
Setting the letter down, Lynch took a mont to think.
The bond between himself and his ’family’ always felt unique. On one hand, Lynch knew that his true family wasn’t in this world. Yet, on the other hand, he felt a deep, indescribable connection to these ’family’ mbers, sothing he couldn’t easily sever or let go of.
During these ten years, though Lynch never allowed Acate to tell anyone about his existence, he had always been quietly following their lives in his own way.
’Why not go have a look?’
After advancing to High-level Apprentice, the Tower’s regulations beca less stringent. He was now allowed to freely enter and exit the Dark Forest, though he needed to report to the Tower before leaving.
’Yeah, let’s go see them.’
There were also so cultivation matters he could attend to during this trip.
As Lynch’s knowledge continued to increase, his magical experints grew more complex—ranging from alchemy and Biological Transformation to Bloodline fusion. The materials he needed beca increasingly intricate and advanced.
While the Tower’s supply departnt provided most of the resources, there were still certain gaps that hindered many of his experints and ideas from moving forward.
This trip would be a great chance to visit the marketplace and fill in those missing pieces.
...
After making up his mind, Lynch imdiately began preparations for the journey.
He first went to his laboratory. Upon entering, he saw two figures, one tall and one short, standing by the door—Frankenstein and Barton.
These two were essential companions for the road. Over the past ten years, Lynch had continuously upgraded and modified them, pouring nearly all his learned techniques into their enhancent.
Thanks to his relentless efforts, their power had now reached a terrifying level. Even against High-level Apprentices, they wouldn’t face any trouble. They were, without a doubt, Lynch’s top fighting force.
"Snap!"
Lynch snapped his fingers, and a faint light flickered from the ring on his hand. With a soft ’boom,’ a book suddenly appeared out of nowhere, floating beside his body.
The Sealing Technique Book.
This was a High-level Apprentice-grade piece of Witchcraft that Lynch had collected from the Tower’s Witchcraft shop. It provided an energy increase of about 8 degrees for casting Spells, a boost of 30 points to his spiritual power, and even so spiritual power recovery effects, making it an exceptionally superior Apprentice-level Witchcraft tool.
What truly caught Lynch’s eye, however, was the fact that this item was a True Spirit Space Witchcraft. Each page of this book was infused with Space Fragnts and inscribed with intricate sealing techniques, allowing objects to be sealed within.
Not only inanimate objects but even living creatures could be sealed within it.
Both Frankenstein and Barton, despite lacking souls, still had living cells in their bodies. Their organs had been restored to functionality through Lynch’s modifications. Ordinary Space Rings couldn’t contain them, but the Sealing Technique Book could.
"Seal!"
Facing the two undead, Lynch chanted a brief Spell. Beneath the two, a Hexagram Magic Array appeared, from which black tendrils extended and wrapped around them, dragging them into the Array.
The [True Word Seal], a High-level Apprentice-grade Sealing Spell, could seal entities with energy levels under 20 degrees.
The two undead quickly sank into the Magic Array, disappearing along with it. Simultaneously, two figure illustrations—of Barton and Frankenstein—appeared on the flying pages of the Sealing Technique Book.
When venturing out, safety always ca first. With these two powerful subordinates, along with his own strength, as long as he didn’t encounter anything above Wizard Level, there wasn’t much to worry about.
After securing the Sealing Technique Book, Lynch continued preparing other necessities—scrolls, Magic Potions, tents, food, fresh water, and so on.
"Might as well bring those Magic Plants with for low-magic environnt observations."
Lynch thought about a few strains of Magic Plants he had left in the Tower laboratory for cultivation. He had been conducting elent environnt dynamic monitoring experints on them. This trip would be a good opportunity to collect data on their performance in low-elent environnts.
With this in mind, Lynch headed to the Tower.
Familiar with the layout, he easily made his way back to the laboratory.
Due to Wizard Somda’s long-term absence, Lynch had the entire lab to himself. This gave him great freedom to do as he pleased—a small compensation for having no ntor to guide him.
"Hmm?"
Just as he entered, Lynch’s steps suddenly paused.
"Sothing feels... off."
A strange sensation crept over him, as though the laboratory was sohow different today. Yet, he couldn’t imdiately pinpoint what was amiss.
He scanned his surroundings. It was close to midnight, and most Apprentices inside and outside the Tower had already gone to bed. The entire world seed to have quieted down, leaving only the faint chirping of insects outside the window.
After observing for a mont and finding nothing unusual, Lynch decided not to dwell on it and walked further inside.
"Wait, hang on."
But then, he suddenly stopped, as though realizing sothing.
Silence?
He finally understood what was wrong. Yes, it was the silence!
The laboratory was unusually quiet tonight. As Lynch walked in, he could even hear his own footsteps echoing through the empty space.
The usual irritating ’tick-tock’ sounds were completely gone.
He turned abruptly to look at the walls.
On the surrounding walls hung various strange and uniquely shaped clocks, each recording a different ti.
Now, without exception, they were all in the sa state—
Stopped.
