Just as Lor was still guessing whether the one delivering the Law Treasure was an Overlord or Blood, a familiar white figure suddenly appeared before him.

"Not bad, little guy," Blood chuckled and praised, "I thought you’d take longer to win the fifth arena battle, but unexpectedly, you’ve already won."

As he spoke, its right front paw revealed a barely noticeable blood-colored pearl, which gradually enlarged while it floated towards Lor.

"The Manager overrates ," Lor said humbly, accepting the familiar pearl with a slight bow, "I was just lucky."

"Lucky..."

Blood chuckled and shook its head, "Alright, whatever you say it is."

"Actually, my visit here has a secondary reason of delivering the Law Treasure; the main reason is to present you with a significant opportunity."

"Of course, whether you want this opportunity is up to you; I won’t interfere with your choice."

This ti, it ca mainly to convey the matter of a life-or-death ordeal, along with offering a favor.

A chance for resurrection without any cost; it believed this little guy would surely jump at the opportunity.

"A significant opportunity?" Lor’s heart sank, but he feigned excitent and said, "Please speak openly, Manager."

From his past experiences, he knew that receiving benefits from Blood would certainly involve trials.

If he was not careful, he might lose his life.

Hence, he was determined to decline this so-called significant opportunity if he could.

No opportunity is more important than one’s life.

"Considering your previous performance in the arena, I’ve just applied for a resurrection opportunity for you."

Blood said slowly, "Between life and death lies great dread; a resurrection would surely advance your understanding of the Law."

"The most important part is that there’s no cost, nothing required from you."

"How about it? This opportunity is quite good, isn’t it?"

After speaking, it looked at Lor full of smiles, confidently waiting for the little guy to be tearfully grateful.

This was a significant opportunity, given freely!

Even it was envious; how could a tier six little guy resist?

"Manager," Lor tactfully declined, "You ntioned that I could choose not to accept this opportunity, right?"

He thought it was sothing good for him, ntally preparing to refuse even if the Manager offered great things.

And yet, this was all?

Not to ntion his previous life as a player, where death was countless, never resulting in any profound realization.

Even if life and death could grant him direct insight into a trait fusion, how different would that be from using the Sequence Panel?

One carries the risk of failed resurrection, while the other simply requires waiting a few years.

The choice is clearly evident.

"Hmm...what?!" Upon hearing Lor’s response, Blood nodded appeased at first, then realized, staring at Lor with an astonished expression.

The aning in this lad’s words seed like he wasn’t going to accept?!

But how could that be?

It had clearly stated there was no cost!

Even a sought-after opportunity for itself, yet this guy intended to refuse?

"You don’t want the opportunity for resurrection?" Blood feared it might have misheard Lor’s aning, and imdiately sought confirmation.

"Yes, Manager."

Lor nodded, his eyes ’steadfast,’ deceivingly loyal, "I wish to rely on myself to climb step by step."

"Because, in my view, only by progressing one step at a ti can the most stable foundation be built."

This resurrection opportunity, even a dog wouldn’t take.

If one couldn’t resurrect, or sothing went wrong during resurrection, or if sothing was added instead, wouldn’t he suffer drastic losses?

If rejection were impossible, he would accept because he couldn’t resist the Silkworm Dream Civilization.

But since he could refuse, he certainly would.

"Actually, the insight gained in a life-or-death opportunity is still your own realization." Blood understood Lor’s concern, imdiately explaining, "The opportunity of resurrection rely gives you a little push to progress faster."

"Manager, I believe being pushed ultimately results in an unstable foundation." Lor ’resolutely’ shook his head, as if making a significant decision, "So please withdraw the application; I wish to rely on myself."

"Are you sure?" Blood asked with a complex expression.

It truly hadn’t anticipated that this guy would refuse an opportunity it dread of.

But it had said all it could; if Lor still didn’t agree, it couldn’t persuade further.

"I’m sure!" Lor nodded without any hesitation.

"Oh well, if you don’t want it, you don’t want it." Blood sighed in regret, "I’ll go and withdraw the application."

After speaking, its figure instantly transford into a blood light and vanished.

Seeing Blood disappear, Lor secretly breathed a sigh of relief, "Finally declined."

Then he looked at the blood pearl in his hand, suppressing his excitent, stepping forward towards the seventieth layer of the Abyss.

Planting Life Tree Root in the Sea of Blood can increase Demon proliferation speed nearly a thousandfold; if used elsewhere in the Abyss, it can boost it by at least 2000 tis!

Ultimately, for the entire Abyss, Demon proliferation efficiency would be about 25 tis greater.

Compared to the slight increase from the Life Tree Leaves, the difference is vast.

Of course, compared to the Sea of Blood’s thirtyfold enhancent, it’s sowhat lesser; what can be done when the Sea of Blood has a robust foundation?

...

In the Second World, towering giant trees fill the space.

"He refused the free opportunity for life and death," Blood turned to look at Butterfly, speaking with notable regret.

"Refused?" Butterfly asked, perplexed, "Why?"

"He wants to climb step by step..." Blood recounted Lor’s entire explanation.
