It took over ten seconds for Yajedin to finally suppress the fear in his heart, replacing it with confusion.
Why didn’t that apprentice who set up the formation co out and kill them?
With a 1.3 Ring Spell, even if they joined forces, they wouldn’t be able to withstand it!
Could it be...
"Everyone, the apprentice inside likely has no Elental Energy left and is currently recovering."
Greed flickered in Yajedin’s eyes, "Judging by the Divine Power fluctuations, the Divine Power Crystal in his hand is at least close to a kilogram. I think this is a good opportunity."
That’s a kilogram of Divine Power Crystal!
If he could lead everyone to seize it, he would at least get a reward of 30,000 contribution points.
On a usual year, one could only earn over 200 contribution points. Without advancing to an Official Wizard, he could never save up to 30,000 contribution points in a lifeti.
How could he willingly let go of this opportunity?
"Yajedin, you an..." The red-haired girl apprentice looked at Yajedin in disbelief.
But that person has the power of a 1.3 Ring Spell, how could he dare?
"That’s right!" Yajedin nodded, looking at everyone and said:
"Everyone, if we can take him out, each of you can get at least two thousand contribution points."
"It’s so many contribution points; you’d normally have to save for at least ten years to get that much, right?"
"Now that apprentice is already out of Elental Energy, just a lamb to the slaughter, why not take it easily?"
They were nearly five hundred people; if divided evenly, they certainly couldn’t get two thousand contribution points each.
But the apprentice with the 1.3 Rings Spell, when struggling to the death, might kill a bit more, not only ensuring each gets at least two thousand contribution points but also leaving a portion to be submitted.
This matter was an unspoken understanding, Yajedin didn’t say, but everyone understood.
Ten years... a lamb to the slaughter... two thousand contribution points.
Yajedin’s words echoed in the apprentices’ hearts.
So were tempted, and so hesitated.
"Yajedin, I refuse to participate!" A blue-haired young man was the first to stand against it.
The risks of this battle are too high; he doesn’t want to risk his life for two thousand contribution points.
"Alright, anyone else wants to withdraw?" Yajedin nodded calmly, "Anyone who wants to leave go back first, the allocation of spoils this ti will have nothing to do with you."
So aren’t willing to take such a risk for two thousand contribution points, which was expected in his heart.
His target is to gather two teams of twenty Elental Wizard Apprentices to participate, which could basically withstand the outer group of Magic Arrays.
With mutual cooperation, they could barely resist the 1.3 Ring Spells.
Though it wouldn’t last long, that Wizard Apprentice probably hasn’t recovered much Elental Energy either.
"I’m out as well!"
"I’m withdrawing!"
"Withd..."
One by one, apprentices chose to exit, following the first blue-haired young man without looking back.
A minute later, no one else chose to leave.
Yajedin looked around, seeing there were still 132 Elental Apprentices, which could form three single-elent groups of twenty, and 86 Bloodline Apprentices remained, which made him nod in satisfaction, smiling as he said:
"With so many people gone, now each of you will at least get 4,000 contribution points."
"There’s no ti to lose. Elental Mages of the sa elent, get together if you number over twenty and start breaking the formation."
"Bloodline Wizards also be ready; as soon as the Elental Mages break the formation, imdiately break the shield and kill the apprentice inside."
"Okay!"
"Yes."
...
More than seventy Elental Wizard Apprentices responded in unison and, according to their Wizard Robes, spontaneously ford three teams.
The largest group was the Water Elent Faction, with thirty-two mbers.
The Fire Elent Apprentices were in the middle, with twenty-six mbers.
The smallest was the Earth Elent Mage group, barely enough at twenty mbers.
Each of the three teams picked a mber proficient in the Defense Shield Spell to walk in front, while the other Wizard Apprentices followed behind to establish Rune Links with them.
Once everyone was linked, the three leading Elental Wizard Apprentices mobilized their Defense Rune Models.
"Swoosh~ Buzz~ Whoosh~"
Three enormous, differently colored Elental Defense Shields suddenly appeared, enveloping all three teams of Elental Apprentices.
This was the Single Elent Mage Rune Link thod, usable only by Single Elent Mages because the paths they took were highly similar.
In one-on-one, a Single Elent Mage would mostly lose to a Multi-Elent Faction Mage.
But in many-on-many, Single Elent Mages were absolute victors.
Unfortunately, those who reach Fourth Ring and above are few; the strength of Single Elent Mages lies in the powerful mid and lower tiers, but the high-tier strength appears much weaker.
"Fire Elent on the left, Water Elent on the right, Earth Elent in the middle, spread out every hundred ters and advance!" Yajedin, seeing preparations complete, quickly commanded.
The three teams of mages imdiately parted upon hearing the order, advancing side by side, spaced a hundred ters apart.
"Boom—Boom—Boom—"
A series of Lava Eruption Magic Arrays erupted, unleashing the power of a 1-ring Spell, all blocked by the three Elental Shields.
However, the three Elental Shields were greatly affected, with their surfaces constantly rippling.
If not for the mages in the rear tily supplenting Elental Energy via Rune Links, they would have been instantly shattered.
But no matter how, they managed to withstand it.
The three leading Wizard Apprentices paused for ten seconds, then moved forward as the volcanic eruptions ceased.
In just a minute, they had advanced two miles.
"Success!" Yajedin, seeing the smooth progress, felt extrely excited.
As long as they killed that apprentice, he could now earn at least 50,000 contribution points.
...
In the center of the Lava Eruption Magic Array Group.
"What’s going on? Did the Magic Array Group malfunction?"
Only ten minutes into the synchronization state, Lor was suddenly stopped while considering deepening his Rune links.
When the Magic Array first activated, he didn’t care and didn’t bother to break the synchronization to take a look.
After all, it would blast every now and then these two days; he got used to it.
But now it was different; the Magic Array links exploded, sothing seriously wrong nine out of ten.
Without hesitation, Lor interrupted the synchronization, opened his eyes, and looked toward where the Magic Array exploded.
"Wow, they even ford Single Elent basic mage squads, playing pretty fancy outside these days!"
Seeing the three massive Elental Shields, he instantly understood what happened.
"But to have less than 40 people in three basic teams dare to break in, how much do they think of ?"
Lor shook his head, though a grin escaped his control, "Perhaps I can accumulate another big batch of Divine Power Crystals."
He naturally sensed these apprentices didn’t carry Divine Power Crystals, but so what?
Their lair must have Divine Power Crystals, and definitely not a small amount.
In a while, capturing a live one to lead the way, going straight to their lair to grab a batch would make another fortune.
A Wizard Apprentice’s formation can withstand at most a hundred-man team, pushing Spell power only to 1.2 Rings.
His Lava Eruption Witchcraft can burst with 1.4 Rings power, delivering an absolute crushing blow, unafraid of being drained, with extensive range.
He could thoroughly counter these united apprentices; calling them easy pickings wasn’t an exaggeration.
Lor stood up, picked up a bag containing Divine Power Crystals, first enveloped himself in a Rock Barrier, then stepped towards the direction of those three Defense Shields, simultaneously tuning in a high-temperature amplitude rune to full.
"Boom—"
A magma eruption, several tis more terrifying than the Magic Array, enveloped all three Defense Shields.
The three Defense Shields, along with the apprentices inside, were vaporized like bubbles in an instant.
