...

The Human Resources departnt had representatives from various schools, mainly responsible for recruiting new mbers. Lin Suo joined during an off-season, not during graduation season, so the students from the various colleges worked part-ti.

To put it bluntly, they were unpaid substitutes.

They needed this position but found it a waste of ti when not busy, hence they handed it over to juniors and sophomores to man the office for free, all under the pretense of gaining experience.

Thus, the reception was not very enthusiastic. After a brief inquiry, they docunted his arrival and issued him a badge that signified a formal wizard of the association.

And a handbook.

It talked about his obligations, areas of activity, introduction to his school, benefits, and so forth.

Lin Suo didn’t stay long, departing soon after his affairs were in order.

Everything went smoothly.

In the following days, Lin Suo strolled around the capital, temporarily setting aside his practices, and occasionally reviewed the Basic Bomb Science he got from Doctor Ping, taking so ti to rest.

Since the material was sparse and quite vague, he had only obtained Basic Bomb Science and parts of Advanced Bomb Science, which was already enough for his research.

Suddenly, it was ti to go to the Judgnt Committee.

Its headquarters were inside the association.

On his second visit, Lin Suo was much calr and sotis thought of adding a bizarre creature to blend in with the crowd.

Wizard Association Headquarters, second floor.

Judgent Court.

Seventh Ring Wizard Layston Martin, one of the committee’s senior mbers, responsible for handling complicated cases from branches across the country that the local offices couldn’t deal with, often traveling around.

The internal setup of the Judgnt Committee was a council system. Although it was directly governed by the association, it only answered to Dan Dong’s board of directors and was otherwise unrelated to others.

Thus, it rarely participated in upper-tier changes.

It function more like Dan Dong’s law enforcent departnt, blending into the mainland overall assembly, nominally overseeing a very broad area, a bit like global police.

After so ti away, upon Lin Suo’s arrival, Layston Martin still had a stern face, his polite behavior and expression completely incongruent, making it rather awkward.

"Mr. Martin."

"Sir Rhein, please follow ."

Layston led him to another room, where apart from him there were three others, an elf, a goblin, and a human - truly a full set.

One of them, just as he expected—"Tina The Natural Language!"

How tragic.

"Sir Rhein, this is Tina, this is Ruldo, and this last one is Master Charcoal."

"This ti, aside from discussing the case details, can you tell about every encounter you’ve had with the target?"

"A great honor."

"Then good."

Layston Martin sighed in relief, twisted his slightly stiff neck, and began recounting the case to everyone.

The right to be inford of the victims, one of the Empire’s clear legal andnts.

Lin Suo smiled at Tina, then shifted his attention to the case details.

"The story begins with Master Charcoal here, a master from the goblin machinery association, capable of assembling the Magic Energy Particle Separation Device by himself,"

"The target first struck in Dan Dong against Master Charcoal, deceived by dubious thods, resulting in the loss of five latest-model separation devices and three thousand high-level magic stones."

"Ruldo is a purchaser from Dan Dong, currently defrauded of five million low-level magic stones and several hundred thousand interdiate magic stones by the target’s seamless artificial magic stones capability, which even a Ninth Ring Great Wizard couldn’t distinguish as counterfeit."

Lin Suo: "..."

"As for the elf lady here, it’s the case involving the Moon God Talisman, specifically how is not nice to say, also a counterfeiting case."

"Sir Rhein, I’ve heard from the head of the Koster Natural Association branch that you are well-versed in Elvin script, can you see if there are any flaws in this...?"

Lin Suo glanced at Tina, whose expression showed intense resentnt, a slight twitch forming at the corner of his mouth.

He crafted it. Was he proud of it?

Receiving the protective talisman passed by Layston Martin, Lin Suo made a pretense of checking it and decisively shook his head.

"I haven’t seen it before, it’s hard to judge."

Layston didn’t have high hopes for Lin Suo either, he rely tried out of a ntality of there might be sothing or nothing.

"The situation is roughly like this, Sir Rhein, you were the last person to contact him, the handling at that ti was rather rough, could you recount it in detail?"

"Sure."

In fact, Lin Suo had already explained everything, it wasn’t as crude as Layston stated.

It seems that the high elves are not giving up, turning to Lin Suo, the actual person involved and the one who reported the incident, for verification.

Tina is the person in charge.

With this understanding and preparation, Lin Suo’s explanation, though not flawless, is logically clear and without gaps.

His dealings with Reynolds involved knowledge and only artificial magic stones, which he already disclosed about the gang leader he got rid of earlier.

The safehouse where goods were originally stockpiled was also handled properly.

Unless soone uses "foresee the past", there was no way to find him.

"...That’s pretty much it."

After Lin Suo finished, Layston nodded, it was similar to the previous questioning and matched his investigation.

Tina was still not convinced, repeatedly asking Lin Suo to seriously consider if there were any oversights.

Lin Suo responded only by shaking his head.

This infuriated her, and she stord out slamming the door.

Well... he could do nothing about it, confessing was out of the question, he could only ask Layston how much the high elves had lost.

"Senator Martin, did the high elves get cheated out of a lot?"

Layston nodded, a sly smile crossing his stern face.

"The Nature Language family recently excavated the royal tomb of the Moon God Clan, and the Elf King delegated the specific matters to them; as a result, nearly all their gains were swindled away by these fake Moon God talismans."

"Now, all they have left is an ancient map."

"With the world changing over a hundred thousand years, finding Moon God Island is impossible."

Lin Suo was speechless.

"So, they only rember the rewards but not the lessons."

Martin suddenly stared sternly at Lin Suo, reprimanding.

"Sir Rhein, our Dan Dong and the Elf Empire are allies; you can’t say such things anymore."

After saying this, he left quickly with his head down.

Looking at his shaking shoulders, he was clearly trying to suppress laughter!

Good grief, it seems this burly fellow is also quite the rogue.

Glancing at the still perplexed goblin master and rchant, Lin Suo also quickly left; this matter was concluded and no longer his concern.

Leaving the Wizard Guild.

Lin Suo went to check out of the hotel, bought a cabin ticket back to Koster, and departed that afternoon to return ho.

Round trip took ten days, adding on these days, it’s almost been a month since he left.

He wondered how things were at ho.

The Earth Cave Spider’s corpse must not have deteriorated.

In the evening, on the return journey aboard the goblin airship, Lin Suo sat in the communal dining area, heartily tearing into a aty bone, feeling refreshed.

Then, a woman veiled in black sat down opposite him.

Trouble.

This person is the stationed witch of the Monster Salt Swamp nearby Koster, and the Elf Empire located at the southernmost end of the continent, only she had the ti and credentials to investigate.

She’s tough to deceive.
