Capítulo 936: Chapter 89: Endless Maze
“Have I finally arrived?”
Listening to Buddha’s words, Richard felt his hair stand on end.
Could it be that Buddha had foreseen today’s events many years ago?
Moreover, according to the deer-headed Mo Ke, after attaining enlightennt, Buddha has a thousand faces; people see in him only the image they wish to see.
Now he saw a humanoid Buddha, could it be…
“Mo Ke, calm your mind.”
Buddha looked at Richard, his voice unhurried, as if an old scholar in a classroom.
“You’ve co here to seek the mysteries of divine power. If you can’t calm your mind, all your efforts will be in vain.”
Upon hearing this, Richard instinctively took a deep breath, trying hard to calm himself down.
No matter whether the Buddha he faced was the Buddha of the Ten Directions Buddha Land or not, at this mont, it didn’t matter to him. Even a Level 8.5 creature must follow basic principles. Without the coordinates of this dinsion, even Buddha couldn’t directly intervene to help him.
Seeing Richard calm down, Buddha began to preach.
“Divine skills are the ultimate of all arts. No matter the art, all change without departing from its roots; whether manipulating appearances or manipulating rules, even with great power it remains art…”
Buddha’s voice sounded unhurried, and occasionally there would be direct demonstrations, yet with a sense of temporal displacent.
Richard felt as if he had been listening to the lecture for a long ti, but when he snapped out of it, he found that only a mont had passed.
“Is this the true extraordinariness of a Level 8.5 creature?”
Recalling Buddha’s lecture, Richard couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.
A Level 8.5 creature can dwell in the river of ti and naturally has so control over ti. This kind of ti manipulation isn’t an illusion affecting the soul but a real change in ti.
Buddha’s lecture was extrely straightforward, without a hint of esoteric terminology.
But these simple words pieced together the ultimate mystery of divine skills, the pinnacle of all arts.
Simply put, divine skills use dinsion power to make the rules of the material world break their original constraints and beco akin to illusory rules.
For a simple example, the fire summoned by fire elent rules would, unless controlled by Richard, burn anything flammable. However, if it were a divine skill, this fire might only burn wood or only burn soil.
In other words, divine skills are the ultimate version of divine speech skill, where a sufficiently powerful dominator can achieve speech following action.
Through Buddha’s teaching, Richard had fully understood the basic principles of divine skills.
What he needed to do now was to create a divine skill.
The most important aspect of divine skills lies in the control and application of dinsion power, and Richard happened to be quite skilled in this area.
Under Richard’s control, dinsion power began to transform constantly, while the gravity rule from within him was constantly being activated in the process.
In the distance, the stasis shockwave of the water jellyfish giant was already approaching.
If he failed, Richard would undoubtedly beco a plaything of the water jellyfish giant.
Buzz!
A violent buzzing sound echoed again within the repulsive force field’s range. But this ti, the buzzing began to slightly diminish.
Beside Richard, the dinsion power repulsive force field was expanding bit by bit. With the introduction of the gravity rule, the repulsive force created by the gravity rule could directly be used on dinsion power.
The stasis shockwave from the water jellyfish giant was entirely blocked by the repulsive force field.
“It’s done.”
Richard let out a subtle sigh of relief, an involuntary smile appearing on his face.
Beside him, the deer-headed Mo Ke stared dumbly at Richard, or more accurately, at Richard’s forehead. On Richard’s forehead, at so unknown ti, a golden lotus mark had appeared.
“Has he really seen Buddha?” Mo Ke thought in shock.
There were always rumors in the Ten Directions Buddha Land saying that Buddha exists everywhere; as long as the karmic conditions are sufficient, one could see Buddha in everything.
Richard noticed Mo Ke’s gaze and subsequently noticed the lotus mark on his own forehead.
This mark, though appearing on the body, was actually located in the soul. Richard could feel that the mark was rely a simple symbol, much like the mark left on him by the person behind the scenes at the Nightmare World tavern.
“Master has deep karmic connections.” Mo Ke exclaid in awe.
Richard raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, “What is the use of this mark?”
Mo Ke replied respectfully, “Those with a lotus mark on their spiritual platform are under Buddha’s watch. In the Ten Directions Buddha Land, they should be treated as honored guests.”
Richard was taken aback, then slightly nodded. His eyes seed to look at Mo Ke, yet not at Mo Ke.
“I’ve accepted the invitation. Should I survive this, I will definitely visit the Ten Directions Buddha Land.”
With the divine power technique, the stasis field of the water jellyfish giant was no longer a threat.
However, a giant wouldn’t have just one thod.
Seeing that it couldn’t stagnate Richard, an ethereal voice resounded from within the water jellyfish giant.
Under the influence of this voice, everything within the stasis field shattered instantly. In a flash, Richard felt as if he had entered the void of the endless dinsion, surrounded by darkness.
Those shattered spaces and materials were manipulated and reorganized by the water jellyfish giant, and in just a mont, a twisted space resembling a Mobius ring wrapped around Richard.
Around this space, those shattered materials and space fragnts transford into a giant transparent sphere.
“Heh, this technique is quite exquisite.”
Looking at the Mobius ring space enveloping him, Richard’s face showed no sign of tension.
If this giant continued to rely purely on strength, he might not be able to escape. But since the giant tried to showcase skills in front of him, it was sowhat overconfident.
As a Dominator burdened with countless legacies, Richard only lacks hard power.
Buzz!
The Power of Dinsion transford into a long blade in Richard’s hand, the blade’s edge ford by the Gravity Rule instantly cutting through the space and the obstructive material wall on the outer layer.
The greatest feature of the Gravity Rule is its interference with all things; whether space or matter, they must change in the face of the Gravity Rule.
If it were in the Star Cluster Dinsion, even ti would be interfered with by gravity.
Bang!
The outer layer of the Mobius Ring Space shattered in an instant, and Richard burst out like a stream of light.
In the distance, the Jellyfish Giant watched as Richard broke through the space, the stream of light on its body becoming sowhat chaotic.
Clearly just a little thing with ordinary Dominator strength, yet he has escaped from its grasp ti and again.
This gave rise to a rare flicker of anger in the Jellyfish Giant’s heart.
Wooo—
A low, deep sound resonated from within the Jellyfish Giant; in an instant, where the sound waves swept through, everything was decomposed into the most basic units. Even the already sealed Whale Dominator was decomposed into its most fundantal structure under this sound wave.
“Is this guy crazy!?”
Richard felt a chill when he sensed the approaching sound of destruction. This level of attack was sothing even he couldn’t withstand.
Even if he could withstand it, the sound waves would absolutely not stop after just one round.
He had to enter that maze as soon as possible.
Boom!
An energy wave erupted from Richard, the gravity generated by the Gravity Rule was cleverly transford by Richard into a repulsive force propelling his flight.
But this was still sowhat insufficient.
Richard looked at the approaching sound of destruction, gritted his teeth, and a tiny black hole appeared behind him.
The enormous gravity of the black hole, manipulated by Richard, was like a bowstring; using this gravity, Richard’s speed soared again.
At this mont, Richard’s speed had skyrocketed to twenty thousand tis the speed of light.
At this speed, even the Jellyfish Giant’s sound of destruction couldn’t keep up; the Jellyfish Giant could only watch helplessly as Richard left.
Boom!
The Jellyfish Giant’s tentacles swung angrily, but objective facts are not altered by will.
Two hours later.
Richard looked at the valley before him, again checking the path-finding arrow created by the ritual for confirmation.
Upon seeing that the arrow indeed pointed to the basin before him, a sense of caution arose in Richard’s heart.
After two hours of high-speed flight, Richard had arrived at the position where the First Curse Demon Emperor disappeared. If the ritual didn’t malfunction, then this seemingly ordinary basin in front of him was the sitting place of that maze.
From the outside, this basin looked extraordinarily ordinary. Except for the bare interior, there was nothing special about it.
But within the Dinsion of Infinite Changes, a bare ground was normal.
Richard activated the Eye of Truth, and under the Eye of Truth, this basin still appeared ordinary.
It was as if so force had concealed the true appearance of this basin.
Richard looked at the basin and shook his head slightly: “Strange, strange, strange, no matter how you look at it, this place is perfectly normal. No wonder the First Curse Demon Emperor went missing here.”
Even his Eye of Truth couldn’t discern any issues, so conventional detection thods certainly wouldn’t uncover the situation within. Without knowing the insider information and taking no precautions, getting lost in the maze was indeed possible.
After sighing, Richard took out his Miracle Secret Book from his pocket.
With the prior example of the First Curse Demon Emperor, Richard had to be prepared before entering this maze.
The Power of Mystery rapidly gathered under the invocation of the Miracle Secret Book, and with the convergence of Holy Light, it transford into an extrely simple Rune.
This Rune had no other use; its only function was to provide direction for Richard.
As long as he placed this Rune on the outside, even if lost within, Richard could rely on its guidance to erge.
Before this, Wild Wind had used such a thod for the first exploration.
After hiding the Rune well, Richard approached the edge of the maze cautiously, stepping forward.
Ding—
A clear sound resonated in Richard’s mind,
At the mont of entering the maze, the scene before Richard’s eyes changed instantly; the originally vast basin suddenly transford into a maze of ever-changing mirror corridors.
Richard stepped back, and the scene before him reverted to the ordinary looking basin.
“As long as you don’t move after entering the maze, the position doesn’t change.” Richard mused.
Entering the maze again, this ti Richard took another step forward. And with this small step, Richard noticed that the distance to the Rune suddenly beca very remote, the orientation altering as well.
All four eyes on Richard’s face opened simultaneously, and in his eyes, the space around him was constantly in flux, while his own spatial coordinates were constantly shifting.
In other words, Richard was like a leaf being carried along in a torrential river.
“Interesting.”
Richard surveyed the surrounding space, a flicker of fervent curiosity crossing his face.
“This maze must contain great secrets!”
