The deep blue fireball, enveloped in destructive power, crashed into the insect nest. The energy shock wave spread along the nest’s veins, shaking the entire structure violently.

"What’s happening?"

The Mayfly Generals at the heart of the insect nest abruptly awoke, instantly establishing a mind network centered on themselves. Their compound eyes glowed with a ghostly blue, and the mind network, invisible to the naked eye, instantly unfolded.

The next mont, information from different regions and different mayflies surged towards them like a tide. Amidst this tidal wave of data, the Mayfly Generals precisely sifted out the information they needed.

"Enemy attack! The communications group, send a ssage to headquarters imdiately. All other mayflies, form a Third Level defense formation at once!" an old Mayfly commanded.

The mayflies that could beco Mayfly Generals were naturally not incompetent. Despite the sudden attack, the old Mayfly made the most correct decision based on instinctual judgnt.

However, often the correctness of a decision can only change the efficiency of the outco, not the outco itself.

Millions of mayflies began forming a defense formation around the insect nest, and the communications group started to send the attack information to headquarters.

But the next mont, fireballs rained down like a fiery storm, exploding on the still-unford defense array, turning hundreds of thousands of Galaxy Mayflies into ashes.

On the front battlefield, mayfly combat groups could face off against the White Wizard Army directly due to the formation’s presence.

Without the formation, even the most basic natives could hunt Galaxy Mayflies.

"Damn, I’ll lead the Horned Mayflies to disrupt their formation!"

A Mayfly General flew out from the heart of the insect nest and landed like lightning into the ground-based Horned Mayfly group.

In the previous attack, the Horned Mayfly group was a major target. However, due to the specialized carapace of the Horned Mayflies, they sustained far less damage than the Flying Mayflies.

The intelligence of Horned Mayflies was low, but that was not necessarily a disadvantage.

The Mayfly General relied on their vast spiritual power to instantly command tens of thousands of Horned Mayflies. With the General’s guidance, the directionless Horned Mayflies instantly found their backbone.

The insect tide, terrifying to the fortress group, imdiately rushed towards the nearby Mixed Species Army.

"Horned Mayflies are mobilized, ground formations ready."

The Mixed Species Army’s array quickly changed under command, Wizards and Werewolves began to congregate, each Wizard responsible for augnting five Werewolves and providing minor spell support.

In the upcoming battle, the Goblins’ firepower must focus entirely on stopping the Flying Mayfly formation; on the ground, the Horned Mayflies must be handled by the Werewolves and Wizards themselves.

As they watched the approaching swarm, the faces of the Werewolf Heroic Spirits showed a bloodthirsty smile. So Werewolves habitually reached for their waist packs, intending to use potions to enhance their state. It was only after finding them empty that they realized they were already Heroic Spirits, and Magic Potions had no effect on them anymore.

Compared to the Werewolves, the Wizards looked noticeably less optimistic.

These Wizards were filling wizards, normally relying on fortresses and alchemy gun towers to combat the swarm.

Like this, facing the swarm’s assault with their physical bodies, it was their first ti.

"Prepare Earth-sinking Technique."

The voice of each Legion Commander ca through the Wizards’ earpiece, calm, and so even slightly relaxed.

Such an insect swarm impact was familiar in their eyes.

They had faced the resistance of alien natives in Plane Wars like this before.

"Release!"

On the Legion Commander’s command, thousands of golden beams of light penetrated the path of the insect swarm. Under the light’s influence, the solid ground suddenly turned into a muddy quagmire, and the front-line Horned Mayfly group imdiately lost balance, the collision of carapaces producing a tallic clink.

Even though the Horned Mayflies behind realized what had happened, their strong inertia still caused them to crash into the ones ahead. The ramming horns designed to counter the Wizard Fortresses now sank into the carapaces of their peers, the mixed-colored bodily fluids of acidic green and indigo blood spreading through the mud, turning the battlefield into a bizarre palette.

"These damned Wizards!" The Mayfly General hiding in the Horned Mayfly group cursed and imdiately ordered the Horned Mayflies to flap their wings, charging at the Mixed Species Army in a low flight.

Although the impact of low-flying Horned Mayflies would be greatly reduced, this charge was not aid at the fortress group this ti.

After years of war, both sides’ systems were well understood by the other.

The Mayfly General knew Wizards were slaveholders, and the alien creatures blocking their path were either clan mbers or slaves. But no matter which, they were at most ard native beings, and would not withstand a fight...

Crackle...

The Instant Death Sword’s inky blade pierced the thick carapace of a Horned Mayfly, producing a sound like a hot knife slicing through butter. The blade’s movent was as precise as a scalpel, accurately severing the Horned Mayfly’s nervous center.

Without its center, the Horned Insect instantly beca paralyzed, helplessly toppling to the ground, becoming a stumbling block for its companions.

And the source of all this was the Werewolf Heroic Spirit, regarded by the Mayfly General as an ard native.

Currently, the Werewolf Heroic Spirit was wearing color-adjustable Enchanted Alloy Armor, with an invisible airflow around it, enabling short-distance flight.

Underneath the invisible airflow, a thin film-like Water Elent Shield closely adhered to the Werewolf’s body. This defense spell, nad Water Flow Shield, could disperse energy attacks.

The Werewolf Heroic Spirit skillfully maneuvered among the insect swarm, like a swallow in the rain. Lacking Hunter Mayflies, the Horned Mayfly group posed no threat to the Werewolves.

Under the Instant Death Sword’s Wind Blade, the Horned Mayflies fell even quicker than they would have under concentrated spellfire.

"Have these Wizards created synthetic beasts specifically targeting Horned Mayflies?"

The Mayfly General could not believe that the creatures slaughtering the Horned Mayfly group were rely ard native beings. As a civilized being, it preferred to believe these were products of witchcraft, designed specifically to counter the Horned Mayflies via humanoid synthetic beasts.

Under the onslaught of the Werewolf Army, the Horned Mayfly group could no longer pose a significant threat to the Mixed Species Army. Fortunately, the Mayfly Generals within the insect nest hadn’t placed all their hopes on the Horned Mayflies.

Under their sacrificial command, a Third Level defense formation had taken shape. Even though during this process, a million lower-level mayflies turned to ash, the remaining three million were sufficient to retreat.

Yes, the Mayfly Generals did not intend to engage the Mixed Species Army in combat.

The battle tactics of the Mayfly have always been overwhelming with sheer numbers, and when they don’t hold an absolute advantage in quantity, the combat strategy of the Galaxy Mayfly tends more towards escape.

As seasoned Wizards who have battled the Galaxy Mayfly for hundreds of years, the Legion Commanders at the center of the Mixed Species Army had long predicted the strategy of the Mayfly.

The Goblin Army’s firepower halted, and at the next mont, all Goblin soldiers adjusted their turrets to a single-shot mode.

Buzz!

Twenty-five thousand turrets fired simultaneously, their released energy waves rging to nearly form a shock wave.

Thousands of fireballs carrying capability streaked towards the Mayfly battle group like a hundred birds returning to their nest.

The Mayfly battle group launched beams like raindrops, trying to detonate these fireballs prematurely. However, even if detonated early, the concentrated fire elents in the unit space were sufficient to trigger a Fire Elent Storm.

Moreover, the numbers of the Mayfly battle group were no longer able to maintain a defensive array while simultaneously utilizing an Elent Absorption Array.

Boom!

Over twenty thousand fireballs exploded mid-air, the massive impact even illuminating the sky. If soone were watching from afar towards the conflict area, they would see the horizon suddenly present with a small sun.

The Fire Elent Storm swiftly depleted the energy of the Mayfly battle group, and even with the Insect Nest replenishing them, their energy reserves plumted.

"Did the communications team send the ssage back?"

"It’s completed."

"Retreat imdiately!"

The Fire Elent Storm posed a major threat to the Galaxy Mayfly, but it was equally a threat to the Wizards.

Due to the range of the portable turrets, the Mixed Species Army wasn’t very far from the Mayfly. While the Fire Elent Storm depleted the Mayfly’s energy, it also severely impacted the Mixed Species Army.

This was the perfect opportunity to retreat.

Yet before the Fire Elent Storm entirely dissipated, the Mayfly Generals witnessed a chilling scene through the Mind Network.

Those "Synthetic Beasts" that slaughtered the Horned Mayfly suddenly charged towards the defensive arrays in the sky.

Under the assistance of witchcraft and Alchemy equipnt, even First and Second Level Werewolves were walking in the sky.

Their figures were light like birds yet swift like tigers. In their eyes, the Mayfly Generals saw a terrifying resoluteness.

"Kill them!"

The arrays erupted again with beams like raindrops, yet the Werewolf Heroic Spirits seed heedless, braving the beams as they forged ahead.

The rain of light pierced through the Werewolves’ bodies like bullets, but what flowed from the wounds wasn’t blood, but speckles of Holy Light.

After a round of light rain, the charging Werewolves thinned out. Despite the protection of armor, many Werewolves’ bodies disintegrated.

But without hesitation or sorrow, the silent charge of the Werewolves was familiar to the Mayfly Generals—it resembled their own way of warfare.

The rain of light continued to shoot, within less than a second, the Mayfly battle group fired three rounds of light rain.

Those Werewolves who survived to this mont were exclusively among the Werewolf company’s commanders.

Ultimately, so drew closer to the barrier.

The leading Werewolf grinned fiercely, and the two Instant Death Swords in his hands suddenly burst forth with dense black particles of light.

The Instant Death Swords overloaded!

Tear!

In a swift motion, the Instant Death Sword plunged fiercely into the Mayfly’s Energy Barrier.

The high-concentration Death Energy was capable of corroding even space; an Energy Barrier was trivial in comparison.

Centered around the Instant Death Sword, the Mayfly’s Energy Shield began collapsing rapidly.

"No, the shield is shattering! That’s high-purity Death Energy! These things are undead creatures damned!"

In the Mind Network, the old Mayfly General issued frantic orders, other Mayfly Generals also realized the severity. The entire Mayfly battle group began shifting its formation, tolling the cost.

But it was already too late.

The Goblin’s portable turrets fired again with blazing fireballs; under the attack of the Fire Elent, the barrier shattered by the Instant Death Sword had no remaining resistance.

Once more, the Fire Elent Storm manifested; this ti, not a single Galaxy Mayfly could escape.

...

"Supre Commander, a report from the frontline, the Mixed Species Army’s initial battle was extrely successful. Only seven thousand three hundred soldiers were lost in eradicating several Third Level battle groups."

"Hmm, just set it aside."

Richard quietly gazed towards the west, his deep eyes seed to penetrate through space to et the gaze of the King of Mayfly on the other end of the world.

"Can’t resist attacking at last?"

The pitch-black King of Mayfly looked towards the east, emitting a joyful chirping from his mouth.

"Let see what you’re hiding."
