"Sir Richard, here are the transformation plans."
In the Divine Palace Laboratory, with a wave of Lan’s hand, four transformation diagrams appeared before Richard.
The success of the Floating City’s ascent signified the beginning of Richard’s expedition. But having just the Floating City was not enough; conquering a world, when lacking absolute force suppression, required a very solid foundation of base combat power.
"Tell about their advantages," Richard casually asked.
With Richard’s own alchemical knowledge, he could see the transformation directions of these schematics at a glance.
But that was the extent of his understanding.
The transformation diagrams wouldn’t note each organ’s function; even seemingly identical organs on two diagrams might have fundantally different functions.
"Alright, let’s take a look at this one first."
The four diagrams before Richard suddenly rged into one.
"This is the perfect goblin that best fits your original requirents. Its advantages are probably self-evident. Apart from its extrely low reproductive ability, its qualities at the first level are absolutely top-notch.
Even the test subject you sent isn’t easy to match in its first-level life form."
The test subject Lan referred to was Cleo, an Abyss demon captured by Richard. This demon, attempting to be cunning, was tornted by the World Mushroom and used a thod even the World Mushroom couldn’t prevent to hide its soul within its body.
Neither the World Mushroom nor Richard could locate its soul, so Richard had no choice but to hand this demon over to Lan, sealing Cleo to find its soul later when he had the ti.
"Have you found that guy’s soul yet?"
"Not yet, I’ve only analyzed its bloodline. Sir Richard, you should know about the evolution tree present in such a creature, right?"
"Yes, do you have any thoughts on this?"
"I’m attempting to hide the expression of this perfect goblin so that while maintaining the birth rate, every goblin can beco a perfect goblin."
Richard’s eyes lit up: "That’s a good idea, let know what you need."
"I will. Sir Richard, let’s look at the modifications first."
The perfect goblin stands about two ters tall, their bodies robust as if they ate steroids for every al. Their skin is still green, but much thicker and tougher than the average goblin. There is a certain degree of orc-like appearance, such as growing sharp teeth and a broad jaw.
In terms of strength, agility, and defense, these goblins are top-notch among first-level creatures.
"I suggest using these soldiers as a regular army; they’re great linen in any battlefield," Lan introduced the perfect goblins as if showcasing a product.
"Linen? Isn’t that a bit extravagant?"
Richard was a bit startled, thinking it might be wasteful to use such capable soldiers as the most ordinary soldiers. They seed fit to be an elite troop.
Lan chuckled lightly, and Richard recognized that this controller was mocking him, making him a bit embarrassed and annoyed, "What are you laughing at? Is there a problem?"
"Nothing, I just find your perspective on war sowhat... unique."
The humane pause made Richard even more annoyed, so he retorted, "What are your insightful thoughts?"
"Sir Richard, I understand your thinking. It’s very reasonable, just a bit naive. Hexagonal warriors are indeed great on the battlefield, but think about how long it takes to train one to et the standards.
An inexperienced hexagonal warrior can only delay the front line when facing a troop particularly outstanding in a certain aspect."
Lan’s words caused Richard to fall into silence.
Indeed, if a hexagonal warrior isn’t strong enough, they’re just diocre. Such soldiers aren’t outstanding in any aspect but can handle a few moves against any enemy. They’re perfect for delaying the line and buying ti for reinforcents.
Perhaps considering Richard’s dignity, Lan added after speaking, "Of course, if your current war target is the natives, then these soldiers can indeed be used as elites. To the natives, perfect goblins are perfect warriors."
Richard exhaled, no longer dwelling on the subject.
"Let’s see the next one."
"Okay, this is the Source Energy Master transformation you’ve seen before."
As he spoke, the diagram before Richard suddenly changed to a slender figure.
"Goblin transford into Source Energy Master, and it’s different from the Source Energy Master I ntioned before. After the transformation, goblins beco even more agile than perfect goblins, their speed surpassing that of perfect goblins. But correspondingly, their defense is lower, and their strength is weaker.
I recomnd using these soldiers as assassins or scouts. They are very precise in energy manipulation, so when advancing or scouting, they can expose a trace of energy wave. If discovered, they have enough combat power and speed to return."
Richard nodded slightly, finding this transformation quite good. As a Black Wizard, Richard had a natural preference for this transformation.
"Next."
"This is another transformation you’ve seen."
Before Richard appeared a small diagram.
"Goblins match significantly with chanic transformation; after transformation, they even surpass the original chanics. Their role is mainly logistics support, but in necessary tis, they can be used as ranged soldiers."
"Alright, next."
The small diagram before Richard disappeared, replaced by a dium-height one.
"This is the transformation you haven’t seen before; I’ve nad it Witch Doctor."
"Witch Doctor?" Richard raised an eyebrow, "What is its ability?"
"Healing all injuries."
"All?"
"Yes, everything. But it might be sowhat unstable?"
Richard’s eyes flashed with a hint of curiosity: "Elaborate?"
"The transford Goblins can use the Power of Mystery, which you should be aware of. And the Witch Doctor’s transformation has enhanced this ability for them; they can utilize more of the Power of Mystery, but the drawback is that their abilities aren’t very stable.
When using the Power of Mystery to treat creatures, they might accidentally add sothing akin to a curse."
"... This transformation is kind of a rip-off."
A certain unfortunate soul, who suffered from the curse of Illusion Creatures for thousands of years, flashed through Richard’s mind.
Speaking of which, now that the Wizard World is fully mobilized, what’s happening with his business association?
"You can’t just look at the negative effects; they are only a small part. Witch Doctors can also use rituals to enhance an entire army with the Power of Mystery, right?"
Richard nodded slightly; these words were indeed quite reasonable.
With the backing of Wizard Civilization, so group-enhancing Curse Witchcraft will certainly not be lacking in the future.
"Alright, all four transformations have been approved. My friend, you are simply a superhuman."
Facing Richard’s sowhat peculiar praise, Lan bowed slightly.
"It’s my honor to assist you."
...
"Jack, co quickly, your na is here!"
In the lounge, a robustly built transford Goblin, or rather, a Divine Grace Goblin, suddenly jumped up from the bed.
"My na? You an the transformation list!?"
Jack’s voice was filled with disbelief; in the recently concluded legion competition, his rank wasn’t high, so how could the transformation spot fall on him?
"It’s indeed the transformation list, you lucky guy!"
The one notifying Jack was an old Goblin who had undergone Cultivator transformation; he was the Company Commander of Jack’s unit.
In the Goblin Army’s basic unit, they used the Fire Lizard Battle Group’s format. A hundred people made a company, and ten companies made a battle group.
"How could I be selected?" Jack said with incredulity on his face, "I’m not ranked high."
"But all your rankings are very balanced." The Company Commander handed him a list, "Your transformation is Iron Warrior, which requires Goblins like you."
Jack took the list, which was a notice recording his transformation and the reason for his selection.
He kissed the list twice and shouted at the sun outside the window: "Praise the Sage! Praise the Sun!"
anwhile, similar scenes were unfolding in all the legions.
In the past month, all Goblin Armies participated in a grand competition, selecting a significant number of Goblins suitable for warrior transformation.
There was no choice; Richard only had one world. Goblin transformation required a large amount of Life-Active Material, which Richard could only extract bit by bit from Demonized Plants, apart from drawing blood from the World Mushroom.
The World Mushroom now needed to power the Divine Palace Laboratory, expand the Secret Realm, generate minerals, and serve as a provider of raw materials. However, even if the whole goblin world was planted with those materials provided by Demonized Plants, it would still take at least decades to gather enough for transformation.
So, Richard could only conduct small-scale transformations, waiting for world expansion before large-scale transformation.
The army expansion was happening simultaneously with the transformation of warriors.
In the current goblin world, the army size is quite small. After concluding the Abyss War, Richard disbanded most of the mortal armies. The remaining transford goblin army, even if every single one were Wizards, would barely suffice for a one-plane expedition.
So expanding the army is necessary.
Richard didn’t believe that rely relying on the goblins carried by the Floating City could conquer a world, so new troops must be supplented when the Teleportation Gate opens.
The news of army expansion quickly spread through the streets and alleys.
The new generation of Divine Grace Goblins almost stomped the thresholds at the recruitnt offices under this news.
The Church did not hide that a war was about to begin; they straightforwardly stated that the army expansion was for war.
The priests of the Miracle Sect delivered stirring speeches on the Crystal Screen.
"... Goblins are a race tested by trials, so the Sage will lead Goblins to launch a grand expedition, returning to the realm of the Gods to counter the Evil Demon the Gods are combating.
On the way, we will pass through two worlds, just like the forr goblin world, unenlightened worlds, and ignite warfare therein.
I believe so brothers and sisters might ask at this mont, why must there be war, why can’t we coexist peacefully?
I want to say, war is necessary. Because we must spread the Divine Radiance and eradicate their suffering. And those oppressed will not surrender easily!
Brothers and sisters, ask the older generation of goblins in your families, ask them what life was like back then. Go to the city library and see the records from over five hundred years ago, and see what kind of life goblins led at that ti.
Brothers and sisters, those are the outcos caused by the oppressed.
Thus, war is inevitable!
However, this war is glorious, it is sacred! We are walking the right path, spreading the Divine Radiance.
This will be a sacred expedition, a glorious expedition, a grand expedition.
Praise the Sage, praise the Sun.
