Chapter 52: Chapter 50: This Is What You Call an Advanced ditation thod
The sky was just beginning to lighten. Allen opened his eyes, his consciousness stirring.
He didn’t get up right away. Instead, he lay quietly in bed, acclimating to the changes of his new surroundings.
After a mont, he rose and changed into the brand-new Wizard Robe of an Advanced Apprentice from the School of Alchemy.
The uniform was perfectly tailored. Intricate Runes, embroidered with silver thread on the cuffs and collar, seed to shimr and flow in the light, giving him a distinguished air.
At eight in the morning, he arrived punctually before the tal door of Master rcer’s office.
Before he could even knock, he heard the faint sound of gears engaging from within. The tal door slid open silently. His arrival, it seed, had already been detected.
The scene inside was the sa as yesterday: a massive, three-dinsional model slowly rotating in the center of the room.
Master rcer stood before a control console. The fingers of his brass chanical arm darted across a screen of light, processing a complex stream of data.
Hearing Allen’s footsteps, he paused and turned, revealing the stern face of a middle-aged scholar.
"Your sense of timing is excellent."
rcer’s voice was as flat and toneless as ever. "It is a fundantal quality for an Alchemy Wizard. Error is our greatest enemy."
He cut straight to the point. "You may have already guessed that what stands before you is rely one of my teaching Golems. I use it to conduct the school’s public courses and to provide specialized guidance for apprentices such as yourself. My true body is stationed year-round on the Molten Iron Mountain Range plane."
Before he even finished speaking, he waved his arm.
HUMMM—
The Golem model in the center of the office vanished instantly, replaced by a vast, vivid projection.
Beneath a crimson sky, a mountain range with a tallic sheen rolled across the landscape, dotted with colossal mining platforms and fortresses.
The view shifted, zooming in on a fortress wall where a gigantic scorpion, the size of a tank with a shell that shimred like crystal, was using its massive pincers to effortlessly tear apart a ten-ter-tall combat Golem!
The next mont, a pillar of incandescent white light shot down from the sky, piercing the giant scorpion’s head and blowing it to smithereens.
The image vanished in a flash.
"The Molten Iron Mountain Range. A plane that is as rich as it is extre."
rcer’s tone was placid, as if he had just shown a mundane recording of the scenery.
"It contains priceless Magic tal Ore Veins, as well as Crystal Shell Giant Scorpions that can tear through steel with ease. Deeper still, slumbering Fire Elent Lords await. We vie with these creatures for control over every inch of territory. This is the daily reality for most Morning Star Wizards."
He paused, his eyes seeming to pierce right through Allen, seeing sothing far deeper.
"I’m telling you this so you understand that the academy’s courses and the rivalries between schools are rely the foundation. The true battlefield lies at the frontier of knowledge and resources. I have no ti to waste on diocrities."
rcer continued, "You are the first apprentice I have accepted in three years. However, before you can officially begin your studies in the Golem specialization, you must first complete the entire year of public courses for the School of Alchemy at the Black Tower of the Forge."
"From material identification to Rune engineering, from energy conduction design to Wizard Workshop construction. I need you to build a complete frawork of knowledge. The Discipline of Macro-Construction and Domination is not built on thin air; its foundation is your profound understanding of every single ’component.’"
Allen nodded in understanding.
"Very good." rcer seed pleased with his reaction. "In that case, we will begin my first lesson now."
"An Advanced ditation thod is the true mark of an Advanced Apprentice’s progression toward becoming an Official Wizard. It will restructure your very soul and define the path you will walk."
"It forces your Sea of Consciousness and your soul to operate according to a specific pattern. Without it, you cannot cast the exclusive Witchcraft of your school, let alone inscribe the Core Witchcraft required to beco an Official Wizard."
’Allen now understood. In terms of concepts from his past life, an Advanced ditation thod was like a Wizard’s underlying operating system. It defined the soul’s runti environnt; without this system, you couldn’t run any software or drivers.’
"Every school and every specialization has its own Advanced ditation thod. Take the mainstream thod for Bloodline Wizards, the *Source of All Changes: Life Furnace*. It constructs a simulated ’biological transmutation array’ within the body, allowing one to more safely decompose, absorb, and initially harmonize foreign bloodline factors. This drastically reduces the imdiate risk of bloodline rejection and serves as the cornerstone for all bloodline modifications. Without it, any high-level bloodline experint is tantamount to suicide."
"And as my apprentice, you will receive the exclusive Advanced ditation thod for the Golem specialization—the *Omni-Machine Resonance ditation thod*."
rcer raised his chanical arm. As his five tal fingers spread open, the Alchemy Array in his palm suddenly flared with an eerie blue light.
"Now, lower your spiritual defenses. Rember, any subconscious resistance will result in irreversible damage to your soul."
Allen took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and completely lowered the defenses of his Sea of Consciousness.
He could feel a cold Spiritual Power, one with a tallic texture, probing into his Sea of Consciousness.
In the next instant, a massive flood of information rushed in, like a river bursting its banks!
It wasn’t language or images, but sothing more fundantal: a set of rule definitions for "structure" and "soul frequency."
Allen felt as if his brain were no longer his own. It had beco a hard drive, a new operating system being forcibly installed as countless bits of information were violently written, formatted, and reorganized!
An intense pain emanated from the depths of his soul, as if every one of his brain cells was being crushed and reford.
He had to focus his entire will just to keep his sense of "self" from being swept away by the storm of information.
The "imprinting" process lasted for about five minutes.
As rcer retracted his chanical arm, the light in his palm dimd.
Allen opened his eyes. For a mont, it seed as if countless streams of data flashed through his deep blue irises, giving them an inhuman, eerie quality.
He gasped for breath a few tis before steadying himself.
His Sea of Consciousness was now completely transford.
[Warning: Underlying structure of Sea of Consciousness has been permanently modified.]
[New Module Loaded: *Omni-Machine Resonance ditation thod* Template.]
[Data Integration and Analysis in Progress... Analysis Complete.]
The DSeek light screen unfolded in Allen’s mind, clearly listing the world-altering changes brought about by the "system upgrade."
The *Omni-Machine Resonance ditation thod*, the core of the Golem specialization within the Discipline of Macro-Construction and Domination, provided him with an entirely new frawork for growth. It primarily consisted of three core functional modules and one passive ability.
The first was called the "Core Matrix."
Allen’s original Basic ditation thod involved inscribing thirty-six Will Runes in his Sea of Consciousness to form a basic Rune Matrix used for gathering and purifying Spiritual Power.
The "Core Matrix," however, built upon this foundation by providing a new matrix template, also composed of thirty-six Runes.
According to the ditation thod’s information, with every complete inscription of a thirty-six-Rune "Core Matrix," his total Spiritual Power and Magic Power capacity would undergo a quantum leap!
Advancing from Advanced Apprentice to First-level Wizard required the inscription of two additional "Core Matrices."
This ant his path of cultivation had now beco a celestial tower that could be extended ever upward!
The second module was called the "Permanent Witchcraft Matrix."
This was one of the most fundantal differences between an Advanced Apprentice and a junior apprentice: the ability to use Instantaneous Witchcraft.
When junior apprentices cast spells, they have to temporarily construct the spell model in their minds—a cumberso process that is easily interrupted.
The "Permanent Rune Matrix," on the other hand, provided a separate "hard drive space," allowing Allen to permanently inscribe complete Witchcraft models within his Sea of Consciousness.
Once successfully inscribed, casting the spell no longer required temporary construction; a single thought was all it took to activate it instantly.
During the Advanced Apprentice stage, he could acquire a total of six "permanent" Witchcraft slots.
Three of these had to be reserved for the three Core Witchcrafts he would construct upon his advancent to First-level Wizard.
This ant he now had three free slots to inscribe any Low-level Witchcraft he deed necessary.
The third module, and its most distinctive feature, was called the "Mind Split Rune Array."
This was the true essence of the Advanced ditation thod.
This Array acted directly on the Wizard’s mind.
It allowed a Wizard to create additional "thought threads" outside of their main consciousness!
It was like installing a multi-core processor in his brain.
At the Advanced Apprentice stage, by gradually inscribing the "Mind Split Rune Array," he could split off a maximum of two additional thought threads.
Although these sub-threads were incapable of the most complex, in-depth thought, and possessed only about a third of the main thread’s intelligence and processing power, they were more than sufficient for handling different tasks simultaneously.
Allen’s breath caught in his throat.
He imdiately understood the implications.
’This was perfect for commanding multiple Golems at once! He could imagine splitting off more and more threads as he trained, eventually commanding entire legions. It would also multiply his learning efficiency!’
Furthermore, the ditation thod provided a passive ability that enhanced the precision of his control over Magic Power and Spiritual Power. This would directly elevate the technical level of his alchemy tasks!
"Can you feel it?"
rcer’s voice pulled him from his stunned state back to reality.
"This is the path you have chosen. It will not grant you elental affinity or make your body more receptive to bloodline integration, but it will give you the power to create and command numberless legions."
"I can feel it."
Allen replied, his voice hoarse from the sheer weight of the possibilities that now lay before him.
"Then go. Take seven days to familiarize yourself with it and begin your practice."
