"The Legendary Rence!"
"Rence!"
"..."
As they walked along, people they encountered greeted the burly man while casting curious glances at Carl.
"Rence!"
A tall woman with a flash of red in front approached with a playful tone:
"Bringing another newcor?"
"Yes." Rence stopped in his tracks, clearly a bit apprehensive of the newcor:
"Josie, what are you doing here?"
"Nothing much?" Josie, who had also ascended normally to the Late Stage Legend, glanced at Carl, her lips curling upward:
"I also need newcors in my place. Why not let have this one?"
"No way!" Rence’s eyes narrowed:
"I have no one on hand, and the Elder’s mission is urgent. You can wait for the next batch if you want people."
"Hmm..." Josie thought for a mont:
"I recall you just brought two newcors from here two weeks ago. Are they used up so quickly?"
"None of your business." Rence’s face darkened:
"Conni, let’s go!"
Carl glanced at Josie, smiled faintly, and continued to follow Rence.
"Conni?"
Josie watched them leave, arms crossed, speaking slowly:
"Better be careful!"
"Father Rence is known as a newcor assassin; those who follow him mostly don’t et a good end."
"Shut up!" Rence turned back with a low growl:
"Josie, don’t think just because the Sixth Elder favors you, you can break the rules. Here the Second Elder is in charge."
"Let’s go!"
Carl pondered for a mont, nodded to the person, and then stepped forward to catch up.
Newcor assassin?
Consumables?
...
Before he could think further, they arrived at a square, where Rence glanced around and spoke to Carl:
"You’ve just joined the Holy Hall and already received a Legendary potion, but you haven’t actually perford a real mission yet."
"This ti, the Second Elder wants us to pick so golden fruits together. You’re coming with and are responsible for luring away the beasts guarding the golden fruits."
"Golden fruit?" Carl’s eyes flickered:
"The legendary golden fruit said to grow in the Divine Domain?"
The legend of the golden fruit was widespread.
It’s said that a long ti ago, a ship arrived at an uninhabited island where a peculiar fruit grew. Several crew mbers, out of curiosity, tasted the fruit.
The result.
Shortly thereafter, all who consud the fruit turned to gold.
Their fellow crew mbers were first shocked, then overjoyed, bringing back their transford golden comrades and making a fortune.
Later, people specifically sought out that island, but never found it again. It’s rumored the island is located in the Divine Domain, and the fruit that turns people to gold is called the golden fruit.
"That’s right." Rence nodded:
"Aside from turning people into gold, the golden fruit is a spirit fruit containing Origin Power, giving a Great Knight a high chance to advance to Legendary. However..."
"It’s not as good as the potion you took."
He gave a wry smile.
Carl sneered at this.
To ordinary people, the golden fruit is poison, but for a Great Knight, it’s a once-in-a-lifeti tonic.
Even to a Legendary Knight, it has great value.
But the Desecration Potion...
It would only turn soone into a monster; it’s just a matter of ti.
"Father."
Carl spoke:
"I have two friends; can they join the mission with ?"
"Of course." Rence nodded:
"The beast guarding the golden fruit is a Hell Three-Headed Dog from hell. Naturally, it won’t just be you and in action."

As expected, Ruiqi’er and Hu accompanied Carl as deputies for this mission.
"The Holy Hall does have deep roots, knowing even where golden fruits are located."
Ruiqi’er held her spear tightly, her tone excited:
"Coming here was the right choice!"
"I heard the Holy Hall has a complete Divine Domain map and thods to locate Divine Domain Fragnts scattered across the continent," Hu added:
"Even though the Gods have fallen, there are still many good things in the Divine Domain. If they could all be found..."
His eyes shone brightly, and his breathing beca sowhat rapid.
Carl shook his head gently.
He’s been to the Divine Domain before; although it was a Crash Divine Domain, it wasn’t as beautiful as imagined.
However, the Holy Hall has the Moon Goddess’s legacy, so finding so treasures should be true.
Like this ti’s golden fruit.
’It’s a pity!’
’I’ve already cultivated Holy Demon Transformation to the Seventh Layer, the golden fruit is useless to . If I were at the Third Layer, consuming the golden fruit would quickly advance to the Fourth Layer, but for Ruiqi’er and Hu, it’s a good thing.’
Composing himself, Carl glanced sideways.
Not far away, there was a rustling of leaves, and a man and a woman with five short figures in black robes appeared on the scene.
The hierarchy of Holy Hall uniforms was strict.
Gold-threaded red robes were for Elders, black-edged red robes for Priests, and silver-threaded white robes corresponded to Apprentice Priests.
Unlike Carl’s main world, here the Priests, having lost the Moon Goddess’s blessing, could no longer perform Divine Arts but were purely knights.
Most Apprentice Priests were Great Knights.
As for Carl...
Being promoted to Legendary by taking the Desecration Potion certainly didn’t fit into the Holy Hall’s hierarchy, making him an external mber.
"Conni?"
The male Apprentice Priest nodded towards him:
"Let’s go, we’re going to lure away the Hell Three-Headed Dog."
"The Hell Three-Headed Dog is a Second Tier Creature; just us?" Ruiqi’er frowned and said:
"Even if Conni has beco a Legendary Knight, he’s surely not a match for the Hell Three-Headed Dog."
"Don’t worry," the female Apprentice Priest said coolly:
"Our task is to lure it away, not kill it. Besides Conni, there are other helpers."
She gestured to the five small figures beside her.
Ruiqi’er and Hu looked puzzled, as these five had no noticeable aura, like juveniles. They wondered how much help they could be.
But Carl knew well enough these five were likely five Desecration Knights, each comparable to a Legend.
Possibly stronger!
"Let’s go!"
Carl glanced casually, speaking softly:
"Which direction?"
"Follow ."
The male Apprentice Priest took out a stick and moved the dead branches and vines ahead of them, then leaped forward.
In no ti.
The group arrived in a dense forest, thick fog lingering, making it hard to see the forest’s environnt clearly.
Continuing forward for a while.
"Look!"
Ruiqi’er’s eyes brightened, she whispered:
"A golden tree!"
In the center of the dense forest stood a tree far taller than the others.
The tree’s trunk and leaves seed crafted from pure gold, still glowing under the cover of fog.
Upon closer inspection.
There were orange-yellow fruits on it, dotted among the leaves.
The tree’s shape was sowhat like an apple tree, but more robust and mighty, standing four or fifty ters tall.
"That’s the Golden Fruit Tree."
The female Apprentice Priest’s voice quivered:
"Legend has it that in the core of the Divine Domain, there’s a mother tree of the Golden Fruit Tree, a Fifth Tier strange plant."
"Conni!"
Her tone turned serious:
"It’s your turn."
"Okay."
Carl had long seen the Golden Fruit Tree, and also the two Hell Three-Headed Dogs lounging beneath it.
Two?
This didn’t match the information.
He touched his chin, drew his broad sword, and charged towards the Golden Fruit Tree with a low roar.
In mid-air, he flipped the broad sword.
Gale Slash!
The swordsmanship, unused for decades, was still practiced; the sword blade whipped through the air with a whistle of sword wind.
A sword qi, resembling a long blade of a dozen ters, appeared.
"Oh?"
Father Rence, hidden in the distance, uttered a curious sound:
"Not bad swordsmanship!"
He noticed not only the swordsmanship but also the fierce, pure sword intent — no wonder he could withstand the Desecration Potion’s erosion.
Perhaps...
If this Conni was well-cultivated, there’s a chance of becoming a Second Tier Desecration Knight.
As the thought spun, the sword qi had already cleaved the Hell Three-Headed Dog with a deafening roar.
Second Tier!
"Run!"
Carl shouted loudly, then turned and fled.
