Few people knew that the Wizard Tower had another na in ancient tis: the War Fortress!

Mike Donna looked up at the building before him, then imdiately lowered his gaze, remaining expressionless.

"Sir, please co upstairs!"

Upon entering the Wizard Tower, several secretive spiritual fluctuations swept over him, scrutinizing him from the outside in.

"Yes." Mike Donna’s expression remained unchanged as he followed the person ahead to the third floor.

A huge bed was there, upon which a ’patient’ dressed in white lay quietly resting. The patient’s breathing was faint; his eyes were closed as if asleep, and though he knew soone had arrived, he showed no intention of speaking. There were other people in the room, quite a few, yet Mike Donna’s attention involuntarily focused on the patient, as if his presence made everything else dim and insignificant.

"Mike," Allen from the Cape family approached briskly, "aren’t you skilled in treating poisoning and ntal afflictions? Co quickly and examine this... patient."

"Yes." Mike Donna bowed. "Young Master, please don’t worry."

"How can I not be worried!" Allen stamped his foot, though he found it inconvenient to reveal the patient’s identity. He rely introduced to the others, "This is Mr. Mike Donna, the Pharmacist from my dicine shop. He is most skilled at detoxification."

"Enough talk!" a middle-aged man growled in a low voice. "Hurry and have him treated."

"Yes!" Mike Donna took a deep breath, stepped toward the patient, and employed witchcraft to examine his condition.

"Huh?" he exclaid in surprise, his expression changing. "This is Madness Pigeon!"

The mont he spoke, the expressions of several people in the room changed drastically, and the patient on the bed slowly opened his eyes.

"You know of it?"

"Yes." Mike Donna nodded. "Prolonged periods can erode a person’s sanity. That’s why Wizards with long lifespans often cultivate a form of constant-consciousness witchcraft to combat the ntal erosion caused by ti. And Madness Pigeon nullifies this type of witchcraft, causing a person’s emotional fluctuations to intensify dramatically until they eventually lose control and descend into madness. This poison is useless against ordinary people; it’s only effective on Wizards above the Second Circle..."

He opened his mouth, then hesitated. Even if no one in the room said anything, he now knew who the patient was: Jefferson from the Cape family. A Second Circle Wizard! As for the other one, he had seen his portrait before.

"Well said," Jefferson nodded slowly. "A Wizard whose emotions aren’t stable is like an uncontrollable spell; no one knows when he might explode. So... can you cure it?"

"This..." Mike Donna gave a dry laugh. "I’m just an ordinary Wizard Apprentice, and I’ve only heard of this poison that targets Second Circle Wizards." Seeing the displeased looks on several faces, he quickly added, "But I have a way to alleviate it!"

"Oh?" Jefferson’s gaze shifted subtly as an invisible spiritual power landed on Mike Donna, seemingly trying to see right through him. However, he was poisoned, after all. Even a minor use of magic caused his Spiritual Inner Sea to churn violently, and his complexion turned deathly pale.

He had been careless! He hadn’t expected that young man from the Monroe family to be so audacious as to use himself as bait, luring him into a trap. Though he had escaped, he had been severely poisoned. Madness Pigeon wasn’t imdiately lethal, but it was extrely dangerous, especially now with the beast tide approaching and the necessity of using magic. If he lost control... He absolutely could not risk it!

"Alleviate it?" Closing his eyes and steadying his turbulent emotions, Jefferson asked slowly, "How can it be alleviated?"

"I have a certain Potion that can help stabilize emotions, though this Potion uses very rare ingredients," Mike Donna whispered. "It’s very expensive!"

"Mike!" Allen chided. "Is the Cape family so lacking in Magic Stones that we can’t afford yours? As long as it works, we can even help you beco an Official Wizard. Just bring out the Potion first."

"Yes, yes." Mike Donna nodded with a smile and took a bottle of Potion from the dicine kit he carried. "This Potion is useful for stabilizing spiritual power and can alleviate the toxicity of Madness Pigeon. It will prevent loss of control for at least a decade." As for what would happen after a decade, he trusted that the Cape family, with their resources, would have found a solution by then.

Soone in the room stepped forward, took the Potion from his hand, and did not rush to give it to Jefferson. Instead, they ticulously checked it with witchcraft.

"The ingredients are unclear, but it’s harmless."

"Hmm." Jefferson nodded and waved his hand. "You may leave."

"Yes." Mike Donna bowed his head in assent, then added, "The paynt..."

"Rest assured," Allen said, leading him downstairs. "We won’t forget your paynt. Rember not to tell anyone else about today’s events, or don’t bla for being impolite."

"I won’t, I absolutely won’t tell anyone." Mike Donna, forgetting about his paynt, repeatedly wiped the sweat from his forehead. "When I get back, I’ll stay quietly in the shop and won’t go out!"

"Good." Allen nodded in satisfaction. "Go on."

After leaving the Cape family’s manor and returning to his shop, confirming no one was following, the subservient expression on Mike Donna’s face gradually vanished, replaced by one of icy, murderous intent.

That was close!

Luckily, I took a Potion before I ca and suppressed my Cultivation to that of a Wizard Apprentice. Otherwise, I would definitely have been discovered.

Good thing Jefferson was poisoned and couldn’t concentrate on casting spells. Otherwise, I’d be dead for sure.

Thinking of the consequences of exposure, even though he had lived for over a century, a cold sweat couldn’t help but break out on his back.

"It seems the item has been delivered," an emotionless voice sounded from behind him.

"Yes." Hearing the voice, Mike Donna’s expression changed again, becoming deferential. "As per your instructions, I left the Potion at the Cape family’s manor. As long as Jefferson consus it..."

"Well done." The shadow writhed, and a figure slowly materialized. "Edmund’s strength is ultimately too weak. Fortunately, we made preparations in advance and left a contingency here."
