"Next year, when the Star Gate opens, because of our arrival, the Six Rings Tower will no longer send disciples here. They have devised a clever plan, using the identity of the Six Rings Tower to have the people of the Black Swamp replace the true disciples. However... they lack people! They severely lack people!"

Carl looked out the window, his gaze flickering.

The Six Rings Tower owned four mountain peaks currently under developnt, with tens of thousands of ordinary people responsible for felling trees. The actual managers numbered no more than thirty. There were also shops in the market, but just as Carl guarded one store alone, they were also short-staffed. For this reason, they had to recruit locals like Simon to help manage the businesses. Even so, they were still short-handed; for example, Carl needed to watch the shop during the day and had no ti to cultivate.

Blessings and misfortunes are intertwined! Carl mused. Although the environnt here is sowhat harsh, as a disciple of the Six Rings Tower, I am revered by the natives of the Magic Forest. No one would dare to provoke easily. Being short-staffed is also a good thing. It ans no one is watching, granting a high degree of freedom. I just need to adapt, and life should beco relatively relaxed.

「...」

Divine Domain Fragnt.

To avoid discovery, Carl had not entered the Divine Domain Fragnt since arriving in the Magic Forest. Only after ensuring he would not be detected did he step inside.

"HMM!"

Quincy’s mories still perated the Divine Domain Fragnt, and Carl’s consciousness was impacted the mont he arrived. Shaking his head helplessly, Carl retrieved the witchcraft knowledge for the Dinsional Cage and slowly opened it on the stone seat.

Dinsional Cage! A witchcraft with no Tier. Once mastered, it allowed one to construct a labyrinth with spiritual power to trap and kill invading Soul Bodies. The witchcraft’s power was related to the strength of one’s spiritual power and the complexity of the constructed labyrinth; its origins were mysterious.

First, I need to construct this witchcraft; otherwise, I can’t do anything.

The constant assault of mories affected even his usually rational mind, repeatedly frustrating his attempts to construct the Magic Model. Moreover, the noise from the busy shop during the day left him with even less ti to work on it. For the first ti, Carl experienced the difficulty of cultivating witchcraft. Fortunately, he had been continuously studying relevant knowledge recently, allowing him to keep up.

「Half a month later.」

"OUT!" Carl murmured. A bright light appeared above the Divine Domain Fragnt, coalescing into a complex maze. Quincy’s mories, lingering in the Divine Domain Fragnt, surged towards the maze above like water drawn by a whale. Once inside, they transford into a speck of light wandering chaotically.

Hmm? It can escape?

The maze was not complex; the wandering speck of light within could potentially escape even without intelligence.

Carl stroked his chin thoughtfully, and the maze above imdiately changed. He recalled a man nad Herbert Simon who had made outstanding contributions in the field of artificial intelligence. Based on Simon’s theories and techniques, many highly complex labyrinths had been created. The most common type was the planar maze, using various obstacles to confuse those within and prevent their escape. Beyond that were three-dinsional labyrinths, their complexity increasing geotrically. If mathematical formulas were incorporated, the chances of escaping once trapped beca almost nil. What Carl needed to do was replicate such a complex maze system. Fortunately, his spiritual power was still relatively strong, and the cost of modifying the maze was not substantial. He soon completed the work.

Finally, the assault of mories that had filled the Divine Domain Fragnt disappeared, and a long-lost serenity settled over his mind.

What a pity! Carl murmured. The Dinsional Cage can’t seal it off completely. Otherwise, a complete seal would create an endless prison. Next... I need to verify my idea.

Initially, Carl had regarded the Divine Domain Fragnt rely as a storage space and a gateway to other worlds. Gradually, he discovered other functions, such as a data panel and using Source Material to enhance his strength. Later, from the knowledge of the Divine, he learned that the Divine Domain Fragnt could be treated as a wish-granting machine and a soul-harvesting device.

So... can it fulfill any wish? What are the different costs for different wishes?

Simon, dressed in luxurious clothes and carrying a scepter, walked down the long street, tapping his palm from ti to ti.

"Simon!" A hairy man on the second floor of a street-side tavern pushed open the window and waved. "Old friend, if you’re not busy, why not co up for a bit?"

"Fela!" Simon paused, his eyes flickering, then turned and went up to the second floor.

"I’ve heard a newcor has arrived at Wizard Archie’s shop," Big Man Fela said, pouring wine with a smile. "I’ve always said, the people from the Six Rings Tower look down on us locals. No matter how much you try to please them, you’re still an outsider. Now you see it clearly, don’t you?"

Simon’s expression tightened, and the veins on the hand holding his wine glass bulged.

"You’re no better," he snorted coldly. "Running around with the young master of the Cape family, aren’t you treated like a dog?"

"HAHA..." Fela laughed. "My brain isn’t that good. Being able to follow the Cape family at least ensures I can live decently. And when I get old, I’ll still have so property left.

"What about you?" He lifted his wine glass, looking at Simon. "You’re smarter and more capable, but you followed the wrong people. The Six Rings Tower never gives its things to outsiders."

BANG!

The wine glass in Simon’s hand shattered.

"Mr. Karl," the saleswoman, Trish, approached him, whispering.
