A Dharma Seal for summoning vengeful spirits?

Carl’s eyes flickered with contemplation. "At night, the strength of the Death Knights will also see a substantial increase."

Indeed... Relying on just one Desecration Knight is far from enough to be their match.

The vengeful spirits ignored physical attacks, diving onto Yana and causing her movents to beco extrely stiff, as if she were bound by a pile of heavy weights.

The other Death Knights seized this opportunity to strike, and in only a few monts, Yana was engulfed by the mass of cavalry. These cavalryn lived, trained, and worked together, coordinating with exceptional synergy and employing a variety of interwoven tactics. Even a Legendary Knight would not be their match. Not to ntion Ken himself was a Legendary.

"Act now!"

As Conni roared, the others erged from their hiding places and charged toward the cavalry unit. However, compared to the fully armored Death Knights, equipped to the teeth, they were but scattered soldiers and stragglers. It seed like a complete mismatch.

Fortunately, there were experts among them.

BOOM!

Carl erupted from the ground beneath his feet, leaping high into the air. As he soared, his form had already transford into a seven-ter-tall giant. Then he slamd heavily back down to the ground.

Superior Dharma Seal—Earth Shattering!

His own weight, combined with the might of the Superior Dharma Seal, instantly caused the nearby ground to ripple like the surface of water.

BOOM!

Most of the Death Knights were sent staggering by this concussive force, and then, one after another, sharp spikes erupted from the ground.

PFFT!

BANG!

A few Death Knights were impaled on the spot by the stone spikes, but many more managed to evade them thanks to the agility of their warhorses.

This outco made Carl frown slightly. Troubleso indeed!

At night, each of these Death Knights possessed strength equivalent to that of a Peak Knight or a Great Knight. Killing them would not be so easy.

Lesser Spell Field!

Lesser Mage Hand!

Chain Water Arrows!

An invisible field enveloped the area. Mage Hands seized knight after knight, yanking them from their mounts and slamming them violently onto the ground. At the sa ti, hundreds of water arrows, each a foot long, materialized in the air and shot wildly at the surrounding knights.

PFFT!

PFFT! PFFT!

Warhorse after warhorse, rider after rider, were pierced through by the water arrows, collapsing to the ground with agonized screams, unable to rise.

Carl was not idle either. The seven-ter-tall giant wielded two terrifying greatswords, sweeping back and forth through the cavalry ranks.

In terms of raw strength, Carl might not have been stronger than Yana, but his thods were better suited for the battlefield; various witchcraft and Battle Skills reaped the lives of the Death Knights relentlessly. It felt as if an adult was bullying a group of children.

"Hmm?"

A strange sensation underfoot caused Carl’s expression to shift slightly. Looking down, he saw tendrils of black smoke coiling up his legs, swiftly enveloping his lower body.

Dharma Seal—Death Tentacles!

The trouble was that these tentacles, condensed from black smoke, were not restricted by phasing, and their strength grew continuously.

Seven Death Knights cast their Dharma Seals in unison. They managed to drag Carl to the ground and seized the opportunity to launch a fierce assault.

Battle Skill!

Dharma Seal!

...

BOOM!

Amidst the swirling dust and smoke, wounds appeared one after another on Carl’s body, and his movents grew increasingly sluggish. Under such a ferocious barrage, the Phantom Talisman offered little protection.

Heh...

With a soft grunt, the last Seal on his body activated instantly.

Seal—Potent Plague!

A cloud of dense smoke materialized from thin air, expanding outwards at an astonishing speed and enveloping all the surrounding Death Knights.

COUGH, COUGH!

PUH!

The Potent Plague took effect instantly. The warhorses grew listless, their hooves stumbling, while the Death Knights progressed from rely coughing to spewing blood. Although Potent Plague could not kill directly, its debilitating effect on people was terrifying.

Simultaneously, Carl, though suppressed by the Dharma Seals, twisted his body. Tentacles, each over ten ters long, snaked out from the dense smoke.

SWOOSH!

A tentacle coiled around one Death Knight, retracted, and when it threw the body back, only a pile of white bones remained.

Before long, not a single living person remained on the field.

BANG!

Having transford into a giant once more, Carl burst out from the area enveloped by the Seal’s smoke. His gaze swept across the battlefield, landing on Ken, the Divine Blood warrior.

The battle! It should also co to an end!

Not long after, Yana, like a wounded feral kitten, was curled up in a corner, licking her wounds.

Carl, covered in blood, sat cross-legged on a small hill, wiping his broad sword while gazing towards the City Lord’s Manor.

He murmured, "What needed to be done, I have already done. If John appears, I will not intervene again."

Conni nodded. The credit for this battle belonged primarily to Carl and Yana. Otherwise, even if all of them had perished, they wouldn’t have been able to take down many Death Knights. And John was even more terrifying than a hundred Death Knights combined. Against such power, the few of them who remained would be utterly useless.

"Elder Carl..." Conni began, then asked in a low voice, "You are now a Legendary Knight, aren’t you?"

Carl raised an eyebrow. "Correct."

He had no intention of hiding this fact.

"Without Divine blessings, ordinary people cannot beco Legendary," Conni’s eyes shifted. "How did you achieve it? Quincy also beca a Legendary Knight before his death."

"Really?" Carl smiled and said, "I know what you’re trying to say. I have not pledged allegiance to an Evil God, nor have I drawn upon the power of any Evil God. My advancent was rely an exception."

He didn’t explain how he had advanced, nor did he intend to. After all, ’Taiwei Jade Emperor’ would likely be out of the picture for so ti.

"Let’s go!"

After waiting another mont, Carl stood up. "It seems John won’t be coming out."
