Carl, holding dual swords, stepped slowly into a dense forest. The thick leaves obscured the light of the scarlet moon, and his vision inevitably darkened.

A deep howl ca from the side. Carl instinctively looked over, the flesh on his back tensing abruptly.

He shook his head and swung his broad sword backward.

The howls from the darkness suddenly grew more urgent.
"SWOOSH, SWOOSH!"
Nurous shadows appeared nearby, darting through the bushes and grass, occasionally lunging at Carl. Through the light filtering down from the trembling leaves, the forms of these shadows beca visible.
Corrupted Giant Wolves!
These were a cursed breed of forest wolves. Their bodies were huge and twisted. Their fur had lost its original luster, becoming dull and matte, covered with mottled rotten flesh and greenish-blue pustules, emitting a nauseating stench. Their eyes, set deep in their sockets, were cloudy and bloodshot, revealing an extre madness and despair. Their throats were corroded into hollow voids. Their voices were hoarse, their howls low and crazed.
Already dead, they were reawakened by the Curse, their size and strength massively increased. They attacked any living being that entered this forest, and the mist coiling around them possessed the power to corrode everything.

Facing the wolf pack’s assault, Carl’s expression remained unchanged. His body tensed slightly, then a torrent of sword images blood forth. With extre speed and power, he easily tore through the wolves before him, his blade even emitting a low hum.

The ground shook.
The surrounding wolf pack was abruptly cleared.
Carl sheathed his sword and peered into the depths of the darkness.

The ground trembled.
A massive shadow erged slowly from the darkness. This was an enormous Corrupted Giant Wolf, looking like a moving house from a distance.

When the common Corrupted Giant Wolves failed to defeat their opponent, this ultimate monster, hidden deep within the forest, finally revealed itself.
"AH-OO!"
The dense forest trembled.
The terrifyingly large Corrupted Giant Wolf transford into a black blur, charging straight at Carl. Although it was not a Legendary Creature, the power and speed it unleashed at this mont were barely inferior to those of one. This Alpha was among the top-tier Magic Creatures, though slightly inferior to a First Order, low-Tier Legendary Creature.
"Good!"
"I was just about to test my current strength on you!"
Carl’s eyes lit up. He crossed his broad sword in front of him, and the Battle Aura surging within his body erupted.

Two deep ravines were plowed into the earth. The all-corroding mist enveloped Carl; his clothes and flesh rapidly dissolved under its assault.

With a grunt, Carl’s eyes suddenly turned deep and pitch-black, as illusory tentacles materialized on his back. Furthermore, a layer of dark light enveloped his entire body.
