"I will never forget that scene," he reflected, his voice also filled with emotion.

"If that’s the case, why did Uncle Monroe insist on splitting up the Chamber of Comrce?" Lula turned around, her expression puzzled. "The Chamber of Comrce is what you all built together. It wasn’t easy to get to where it is today. Why bring it to this point?"

"You should ask your father, ask your mother," Monroe sneered. "The Chamber of Comrce was built by all of us working together, so why should it be called the Dragon King Chamber of Comrce? Do you think I wanted to be the vice president of this chamber? Without your father, I would have had many more choices."

He took a step forward, looking at a relief on the wall. "Of the brothers who fought with us back then, how many are left?"

"If you have to bla soone, bla your father for being too domineering and your mother for being too strong-willed. They couldn’t tolerate anyone else."

"Lula." Monroe turned his head, his eyes reflecting complex emotions. "Without your mother, maybe I wouldn’t mind giving up the president’s position to you. I watched you grow up, and I know very well what kind of person you are."

"..." Lula fell silent for a mont before speaking softly, "Uncle Monroe, stay!"

"Stay?" Monroe scoffed. "It’s too late!"

"Uncle Crow is outside cleaning up your people. Mother will be here at any mont, and you have no choice." Lula shook her head. "Stay, or else..."

"Or else what?" Monroe said. "Kill ?"

"Pharmacist Carl is being besieged by the Sickle Brotherhood. You’re here instead of helping him. That must be your mother’s decision, right?"

"Uncle Monroe," Lula frowned. "There’s no point in talking about this now. You’ve already lost."

Monroe’s expression froze. Indeed! Now he had not a single ally by his side. Facing Lula, who wielded the Dragon King’s Fury, he had little chance of winning. Not to ntion Crow and the others. While the Sickle Brotherhood’s attention was on Carl, there was no one to help him.

"You’ve won." Monroe’s facial muscles twitched as he said in a muffled voice, "But it’s impossible for to continue to stay in the Dragon King Chamber of Comrce. Everything else can be yours, but I need to take my people and leave."

"This..." Lula hesitated, thought for a while, and then slowly nodded. "Fine."

"Fine what?"

Just then, a chilling voice sounded.

"No one can take away anything from the Dragon King Chamber of Comrce, no one!"

BANG!

The window shattered, and a corpse was thrown in from outside.

When Monroe saw the face of the corpse, his eyes instantly turned blood-red. Boundless rage surged from his heart, completely burning away his rationality.

"Barry!" He couldn’t help but roar. "My child..."

HUMPH! Emma, controlling vines from outside, ca in with a cold face, sweeping her gaze over Lula. "I knew you would be soft-hearted, you good-for-nothing!"

Then she said, "No one can split the Dragon King Chamber of Comrce. No one can take anything from it, not you, not anyone."

"Monroe!"

"You and your child, you’re both part of the Dragon King Chamber of Comrce. That fact won’t change even in death."

AH! Monroe scread to the sky. "Crazy woman, I’m going to kill you!"

BOOM!

His Battle Aura surged, rushing towards Emma.

Although his strength was slightly inferior, his rage overwheld him. He attacked without defense, and Emma was unexpectedly put at a disadvantage.

"Lula!" Emma shouted. "What are you doing? Why aren’t you helping yet!"

"..." Lula’s eyes flickered. Finally, with a sigh, she clenched her fists and struck towards Monroe. "Uncle Monroe, I’m sorry."

...

Lately, the weather had been humid, and thick fog enveloped Freedom Port every morning. Now, even at noon, there was no sign of the mist dissipating. While not to the point of being unable to see one’s own hands, it was still impossible to make out people only a few ters away.

CLICK...

Lula opened a wooden box and placed it in front of Carl. "These are the Great Divine Graces from Monroe, five in total. I’m really sorry about last ti."

"Mhm." Carl’s face was indifferent as he picked up a Great Divine Grace and weighed it. "I heard the Lady was injured?"

"Yes." Lula nodded. "Her left arm was chopped off. Because Uncle Monroe... he used a special technique, it probably couldn’t be reattached."

Monroe ultimately died at the hands of the mother and daughter, but Emma was also seriously injured. She would be a one-ard lady from then on.

"Give my regards to the Lady." Carl put away the Great Divine Graces and walked towards the door. "I have other matters, so I’ll take my leave now."

Lula opened her mouth but didn’t know how to start; after all, the incident from a few days ago had beco a knot in her heart. They had placed Carl in danger to draw attention, taking the opportunity to resolve the internal strife of the Chamber of Comrce. Although they had killed Monroe, they had also alienated Carl.

SIGH!

Lula slowly withdrew her gaze. Now that the Chamber of Comrce was free of internal strife, she thought there would be ti to nd relations between them later.

"Ayala," Carl said as he got on the carriage. "To Yas’s tavern."

"Yes." Ayala responded, flicked the reins, and urged the horse forward.

The fog grew thicker.

「The coast.」

An old rchant ship slowly erged from the mist. Its tattered sails and cracked deck seed to tell of so horrific accident.

"We’re here!"

"Freedom Port."

A figure appeared on the deck, gazing into the distance and looking toward the City Lord’s Mansion.
